"Welcome desserts, welcome fruit: They offered flower cakes and small fruits, which was very thoughtful. Facilities: The facilities are average but have everything you need. Hygiene: The hygiene is good, and they clean punctually every morning and noon. Environment: It has the advantages of an old house, warm in winter and cool in summer. It also has the common disadvantage of old houses, which is slightly poor soundproofing, but the owner provided earplugs. However, the neighbors were very considerate, so I didn't even need them. Service: The service was excellent. They called in advance to confirm the check-in time and thoughtfully prepared Jianhui food and travel guides, especially the station pick-up/drop-off service, which was very considerate. "My most profound impression of Jianshui was Ting Ziyun, and what impressed me most about Ting Ziyun was Manager Luo. What does it truly mean for service to exceed guest expectations? You will profoundly understand all of this at Ting Ziyun. Indeed, while Ting Ziyun, converted from a magnificent old mansion, boasts impeccable design throughout, its interiors are showing their age and could certainly benefit from an upgrade. Yet, the service team led by General Manager Luo somehow elevates guest satisfaction to an absolute peak, making visitors completely overlook any small imperfections. The enthusiasm and initiative of every staff member seem genuinely heartfelt. They offer personalized services as if completely oblivious to the cost – truly embodying the simple philosophy of treating every guest like family. One can't help but wonder how General Manager Luo has managed to instill this service philosophy so deeply into his team's hearts, year after year, detail by painstaking detail. Perhaps his secret lies in leading by example, ensuring strict adherence to standards, and a genuine 'fatherly care' for his team members. It sometimes makes one reflect on the saying, 'True courtesy can be found even in the countryside.' In Jianshui, a seemingly unassuming provincial town, you witness an individual's journey of growth, refinement, and enlightenment, and experience the nearly flawless operation of a team. It feels as though a compassionate fate has chosen to reveal profound truths through the life journey of one man – from a humble farm boy, to a demobilized soldier, a security guard, a restaurant manager, and ultimately a hotel general manager. This journey, visible to every guest at Ting Ziyun, declares a powerful message: Goodness is made manifest in this establishment, and goodness resides in the human heart."

"The hotel is located within the ancient city and is accessible by car, with parking available. The butler service is excellent, assisting with luggage transportation. The most outstanding feature is the environment; it feels like living in a garden, which is incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was good, though we went at 9 am and some items were already gone. Room cleanliness was fine. My only minor discomfort was that the mattress was a bit high and soft, but that's a personal preference. All in all, I would definitely choose to stay here again if I return to Jianshui."

"We actually came back to this hotel for a second stay after visiting the terraces, which says a lot about the overall experience. The location is fantastic, very close to the old town and right by a lovely lake, making it really special. The girls at reception are also incredibly kind and helpful, even if they don’t speak English, they do their best using a translator. Cleanliness was decent but could be improved a bit. We would recommend choosing a higher-category room, as the basic ones feel a bit outdated and less comfortable. Overall, a great stay mainly thanks to the amazing location and the kindness of the staff."

"Staying at Yuanshe in Jianshui completely exceeded my expectations! Tucked away in the ancient city, this guesthouse is a beautifully restored academy-style building. The white walls and gray tiles, combined with the vibrant phoenix flowers and bougainvillea blooming in the courtyard, make every snapshot look like an ancient-style masterpiece. The courtyard is serene and elegant, with exquisite traditional Chinese mortise and tenon architectural details everywhere, creating a strong scholarly atmosphere. The guest rooms are meticulously clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The staff provided thoughtful and attentive service. Check-in was efficient, and they thoughtfully recommended authentic local snacks and lesser-known routes for exploring the ancient city. The guesthouse is just a few steps away from the ancient city's streets and alleys. With its top-notch environment, service, and scenery, this is definitely my first choice for a stay in Jianshui, a five-star experience I'll surely return for!"

"I checked into the Jianshui Lakeview Inn on November 30th for two nights, and then promptly extended my stay for another night. This was my first solo trip, so I had high standards for accommodation. It had to feel like home – warm, comfortable, and safe. The inn delivered on all of these. Surprisingly, I didn't feel lonely or bored at all while traveling alone. Three things are particularly noteworthy: When I arrived, I found the room didn't quite suit my mood, and the lovely housekeeper immediately came upstairs and showed me two more rooms so I could choose. Entering the room, I was surprised to see the bedding was absolutely brand new; honestly, I was worried about getting my skincare products on the sheets and pillows. I told the housekeeper I had a cold and needed to drink more water, and she immediately brought me several bottles of mineral water. These things may seem small, but details really do make a difference! Also, the inn's location is superb; standing in front of the window, you can see Xiaogui Lake! Finally, thank you to the lovely owner, the Lakeview Inn, for making this trip another comfortable and wonderful memory!"

"I've always loved staying in Chinese garden hotels and have experienced many across different regions, but this one's environment is by far my favorite. The Pine Garden is the most beautiful, grand and elegant. With a clear blue sky and sunshine, it truly surpasses even the landscapes of Jiangnan. In the morning, the light streams through the windows facing the courtyard, filling the room with warmth. At night, the silhouettes of the pine trees resemble graceful Dai dances, which is quite charming. I had originally planned to visit a famous garden cafe outside the ancient city after checking in, but then I saw how much better the hotel's own backyard was—it was truly exceptional. So, I immediately went back to my room, grabbed my Zitao tea set, and brewed coffee and black tea under the Ligustrum trees. My family and I enjoyed the gentle breeze, listening to the rustling leaves and gurgling water, admiring the blooming magnolias and the swaying goldfish. This became the highlight of our slow-paced Jianshui trip. I also saw other guests reading on the traditional 'beauty's rest' benches and observing the fish pond with great interest. This, I thought, is what coming to Jianshui is all about—letting time slow down a bit. The room included a private small courtyard, a small living room that doubled as a tea room, a bedroom, and a very spacious bathroom. There were also Jianshui cultural books by Chen Lei's comic team, which you could finish in half an hour to learn about Jianshui. In the evening, we received welcome fruits, and the morning's caya rice noodles were as good as, if not better than, those from external vendors. The room was incredibly quiet at night—we were truly in the heart of the ancient city, yet just a wall away felt like a secluded paradise. The intangible cultural heritage performance directly opposite the hotel starts at 8:30 PM. It's high quality, great value for money, and definitely worth seeing. The hotel is also very close to the Confucius Temple."

"When I checked out this morning, I asked the hotel to print out the bank statement. They told me the stamp wasn't at the hotel and they would mail it to me after they got it. But after I got to the high-speed rail station, they told me I had to order it myself. I argued with them, saying I could have it mailed, and after they placed the order, I discovered it was cash on delivery. You guys are really good at passing the buck!"

"This hotel is fantastic! The location is superb, offering beautiful views, nestled right by Yulong Lake and Foying Lotus Lake. You can step right out and enjoy a stroll around the lake, watching the swans, which is especially pleasant with the cool breeze in the mornings and evenings. The hotel breakfast is also thoughtfully prepared with a wide variety of options, and the service is excellent."
