"In late May, I took a ferry from Hong Kong's Sheung Wan pier to Macau's Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, then walked 20 minutes to the Rio Hotel. The hotel strictly enforces its 3 PM check-in policy, and there were many guests waiting to check in at that time, so we all had to queue up. The standard room was very spacious (much more so than Hong Kong hotels). I booked the hotel through Trip.com for an average of CNY 450 per night, which included breakfast for two (the breakfast was decent and suited to average tastes). The hotel is very close to Macau's famous landmark, the Ruins of St. Paul's, and is within walking distance. After checking out this morning, I stored my luggage and spent most of the day exploring Taipa. To get back to mainland China via the Gongbei Port, you can hitch a ride on the shuttle bus from the neighboring hotel. I visited Taiwan in 2019, and now that I've explored Hong Kong and Macau, I've checked off all the boxes for my travels!"

"This retro-themed hotel offers a great experience. You can see the Ruins of St. Paul's from the 10th-floor rooftop, and the Senado Square fountain is right downstairs. "Terrible value for money. Aside from the cartoon elements which my child loved, the room facilities were basic, and the space was tiny, making it feel cramped. We struggled to find space for even two 20-inch suitcases. The shower facilities were old and worn out. The curtains let in so much light from the side, waking us up early every morning no matter how we tried to close them. For a five-star hotel or resort, the breakfast (at Angel's) was incredibly sparse. They only had macaroni with chicken breast, and for bread, just toast and baguettes that were hard enough to break a tooth. In the end, we had to go to McDonald's for breakfast."

"The hotel's location is great, very close to both bus stops and the light rail. The front desk is on the top floor. The decor and service are decent. There's a bit of a price hike during holidays, and while there's a shuttle bus, you do have to wait for specific times."

"Our premium sea view room offered a lovely ocean vista – I highly recommend requesting a higher floor. The hygiene was impeccable, making for a very comfortable stay. As for transportation, there are bus stops directly opposite and next to the hotel, covering most of the popular tourist attractions. If you're heading to The Londoner or The Venetian, you can walk just 5 minutes across to Sands Macao to catch their free shuttle bus, which is super convenient. For a hotel on the Macau Peninsula, it offers excellent value for money! Plus, it's only a 3-minute walk straight back from the famous Marco Polo Open Air Plaza."

"The hygiene is good, and the sea-view breakfast environment is pleasant. It's convenient to get there by taking the Galaxy Shuttle and crossing the skybridge after getting off. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to The Venetian, but it only runs a few times a day. The facilities are a bit old, especially the hairdryer. A deposit of 500 MOP is required, payable only by Alipay or cash, WeChat is not accepted. The service is decent; I didn't have a power adapter for charging, and they sent one up immediately."

"I chose to stay here specifically for the full L'Occitane amenities. The deluxe twin room was incredibly spacious, almost like a small apartment. It's a shame that for two people, we only received one complimentary set of amenities. The room decor had warm tones, making the overall atmosphere very cozy, and the bed was comfortable. One minor flaw I noticed was that the curtains felt a bit coarse and dated. After experiencing the incredibly thoughtful service of five-star hotels, the service here felt noticeably less impressive. There are some complementary shops downstairs in the hotel, which are good for a quick browse and bite. The lack of entertainment facilities might be the hotel's biggest 'feature.' If you're looking for good value for money, this place is definitely a solid choice. It's right next to Grand Lisboa Palace, and you can easily take a car there. I didn't find it inconvenient at all. The area isn't that big. To get to central areas like The Venetian, a taxi ride would just be slightly more than the starting fare."

"My recent stay at the Grand Emperor Hotel in Macau far exceeded my expectations, and I must particularly commend their incredibly responsible service! I accidentally left my dental aligners in the room after checking out, and honestly, I didn't think I'd get them back. To my surprise, the hotel staff found them, meticulously recorded the details, and kept them safe. When I called later to inquire, customer service responded immediately, clearly explaining the item's status and the retrieval process. The entire process was professional, efficient, patient, and thorough, truly making me feel that the hotel values guests' belongings and maintains a high level of professionalism. They absolutely deserve praise and my gratitude! The hotel's location is excellent, making both getting around and shopping incredibly convenient. It's right next to the New Yaohan department store, and within a 30-minute walk, you can reach popular attractions like the Ruins of St. Paul's and the Macau Museum – perfect for shopping and sightseeing. Public transport is easily accessible, with the Almeida Ribeiro bus stop just a 5-minute walk away, offering buses to various destinations. The family room we booked was fantastic. It was about 40 square meters, well-laid out, spacious, and bright, featuring two large beds with soft and comfortable bedding. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all the toiletries were provided. It was clean and odor-free, which I greatly appreciated."

"The location is quiet and close to the LRT station, making it convenient to reach all major tourist areas. The room is new and the decor is very comfortable. The staff are warm and courteous, promptly and efficiently addressing guest needs. For breakfast, you can choose from three restaurants. The congee, noodles, and dim sum at the ”Signature Noodle” restaurant are all delicious. It's served as a set meal, and one person can eat very well! 😃😃😃"

"Transportation: I chose this hotel for a concert, and it was super convenient to get to the Galaxy Arena. It's just two stops on the light rail, and the hotel is very close to the station, about a 6-7 minute walk. Plus, there are many supermarkets and restaurants right downstairs, which was incredibly convenient. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was excellent. There were no stains or dust on the tables or sinks, and the cleaning staff did a thorough job, even folding my pajamas. Service: Before I arrived, I saw many reviews complaining about poor staff attitudes, but my actual experience was very positive. All the staff I encountered were friendly and greeted me warmly. Any issues I had were quickly resolved by calling room service, which was just a quick press of '6' on the phone. Environment: The environment was good, but the soundproofing was really bad. I could clearly hear people walking in the hallway and even conversations from the next room. Facilities: The facilities weren't new, but they were well-maintained. The air conditioning couldn't be adjusted, and the hotel kept it too cold, so I turned it off. Even with it off, it was still cold, which might be due to the room's orientation. I stayed in Macau for four days in May and didn't need to use the AC once, haha. The temperature without it was just right, even a bit cool. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay!"
