Pier Joy is two cottages from the late 1940s, recently remodeled and joined, booked as one stay. The Cozy cottage and the Hidden cottage still have their own entrances, kitchens, living rooms, and baths. Connecting them gave each side an extra bedroom.The cottages sit on 2.5 wooded acres down a winding private drive, with plenty of room to park. Together they sleep 12: a queen and two fulls in the Cozy cottage, a king and two queens in the Hidden cottage, plus two full baths.Downtown Union Pier is walkable for coffee at Black Currant, dinner at Union Pier Social, and a classic stop at Red Arrow Roadhouse. Whether you're looking for a summer escape filled with beaches and the lake, or a cozy winter retreat, this is the place for you. Our home provides enough beds for 8 guests to sleep comfortably. There is also a twin-sized futon provided, a foldable children's crib, and an ample amount of couch space. We recommend staying between 8-10 guests, but space allows for up to 12 adults. There are two full bathrooms, both providing showers that accommodate the taller than average guest. Our master bathroom has a shower/tub combo, our upstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower. As well as open yard space, we also provide a firepit and grill for your FULL summer experience. There is also no need to worry about parking. The house provides driveway space that can fit at least 8 vehicles, or even more if you are any good at Tetris! You will find an abundance of entertainment provided throughout our home including games, puzzles, FREE cable and WiFi, and smart TV's in each room. On top of that there is a spacious screened in 3 seasons room, and an outdoor dining set on our large back deck. We can talk about the house all day, but the location is also something to highlight. Less than a 10 minute drive to Downtown New Buffalo, walking distance to Harbert Road Beach, and a short drive to Warren Dunes State Park. The area is filled with wineries, breweries, golf courses, shops, and several great restaurants (many of which include take-out/ delivery options). We are also roughly an hour to downtown Chicago, and 45 minutes to the University of Notre Dame. We would love nothing more than to share our home with you!
