We basically built a brand-new house inside an old one. The house was taken down to studs and rafters. Walls, bathrooms, and a stairway were all moved and a large fireplace was removed to open up and create a huge living space on both the main-floor and lower level. The home has been remarkably and tastefully decorated with unique mid-century-modern furniture and art pieces that were currated from all over the United States. (For the non-initiated, "mid-century-modern" (MCM) refers to a movement in interior design, product design, graphic design, and architecture that was popular from 1945-1970.
