"The hotel offers a lot of services which add value to the stay experience. There were self-serve fresh coffee and a variety of herbs/ flower tea selection at the lobby, free laundry services, afternoon high tea and night dessert. We really appreciate passing our clothes which required laundry to the staff and return to collect freshly laundry clothes. The staff is reachable easily via WeChat. They also offer complimentary pick up from the train station. If I really have to pick on something - there is no view in the room I stayed in even though it was bright and spacious. Overall highly recommend a stay."

"A truly perfect trip! Here, I enjoyed sunny weather, stunning Erhai Lake views, and a fantastic large balcony. The room layout, including the full-length mirror, was exceptionally beautiful. What sets this hotel apart from others in Ideal State is its deep commitment to the Santorini, Greece-style design. While some other places might only have an exterior that fits the theme, with very ordinary interiors, this hotel extends that Greek Santorini vibe to both its facade and inside the rooms. You can even watch the sunset from bed! And the next morning, with a bit of luck, I captured some amazing 'blue hour' photos. The butler and hotel service were incredibly attentive; basically, anything I needed, the butler would take care of. The afternoon tea, with ginger-syrup drizzled waffles and other delicious treats, was also perfectly to my liking. Actually, I fell in love with this room when I first saw the hotel six months ago (yes, I even preferred it over others with pools!). So, I saved up and finally came today, half a year later. What can I say? I feel incredibly lucky. The weather forecast had predicted cloudy and rainy days for Dali, but the moment I arrived, it cleared up and stayed sunny until I checked out. Plus, it wasn't too crowded when I visited (it might be peak season later on). In short, I highly recommend it! If you're planning a trip to Ideal State, definitely come to this hotel and stay in this room!"

"Tired of the monotonous daily grind, I decided to take a break and clear my head. Dali during the off-season is quite pleasant; it’s lovely to just walk around and explore. Alternatively, picking a nice, comfortable hotel to unwind and breathe is also a great option... (After much deliberation, I finally booked this one.) As soon as you open the door, you can see the Cangshan Mountains, flowing clouds, and the ancient town. Walk a short distance downstairs and you’re at Dali Ancient Town. "The hotel is spotless and incredibly quiet and comfortable. The service was absolutely outstanding! Every staff member was dedicated and super friendly to guests. My child experienced altitude sickness for the first time in Yunnan, and the hotel immediately provided oxygen and even offered to accompany us to the doctor. The breakfast was delicious, and room service was very efficient. I highly, highly recommend this place. Before we left, they even gave a small gift to my child. Seriously, I can't recommend this quality hotel enough; it's truly trustworthy."

"After exploring much of Yunnan, arriving at this B&B in Dali felt like discovering the most meticulously designed place of my entire trip. I had initially shortlisted a few B&Bs online, but ultimately chose to stay within the ancient city rather than by the sea, primarily drawn by its charming courtyard and duplex rooms. To my delight, it exceeded my expectations. The courtyard, though compact, was incredibly serene, and the decor was very tasteful. All the amenities provided were of premium quality. We booked two rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs room even featured a specially installed electric blind for stargazing. It was evident that the entire B&B had been thoughtfully designed with attention to every detail. The selection of food and beverages provided was also excellent, and they even delivered sweet soup to our rooms in the evening. The breakfast spread was very generous, offering both Chinese and Western options – a definite highlight. However, the taste of the morning rice noodles and Ersi could be improved."

"This is by far the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Dali. It's designed with a beautiful garden aesthetic, and the air is just amazing. The whole hotel feels like a grand estate. The staff are so warm and attentive. The facilities are incredibly comprehensive: a book bar, a regular bar, a sports hall, a restaurant, and a gym (with tons of equipment, which I, as someone who works out daily, absolutely loved!). "Found a gem of a hotel! I have to give Luxun a huge shout-out! ✨ I absolutely loved the location. Just a few steps out the door and you're on the famous scenic road, making it convenient to get anywhere. They even offer a special car service to the ancient city, which is a dream come true for lazy travelers like me! The architecture features beautiful Bai minority folk houses, and the succulent garden really stole my heart. Sitting in the courtyard, sipping tea and just zoning out, time seemed to slow down. The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean inside and out, making for a super comfortable stay. Entertainment facilities were also top-notch, with options for ball games and fitness – no chance of getting bored. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices; the mushroom noodle soup was absolutely divine, and they were very generous with the sweet shrimp. I left feeling completely satisfied. The best part, though, was the service! The staff were warm and attentive, striking just the right balance, making me feel genuinely cared for throughout my stay. "The first impression I had of Dali Indigo was truly unforgettable: opening the window revealed the Erhai Lake right there, with the Cangshan Mountains gently reclining in the distance. A cool, crisp breeze, unique to Xiaguan, drifted in from the water. It wasn't the kind of aloof resort experience, but rather like truly living an everyday Dali life. The rooftop pool was an unexpected highlight; a few laps in the evening, with the water reflecting the changing hues of the sky from orange-red to indigo, made me feel like I was floating in the sunset glow. A steaming bowl of freshly-made rice noodles for breakfast was the perfect way to truly wake up. If you're coming for that stunning lake, for the moment you open the window and meet Erhai's gaze – this place will not disappoint!"

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is fantastic, truly an escape from the world. We traveled with our child and they upgraded our room for free, which was much larger and came with a courtyard and a terrace, both absolutely beautiful. The service was also incredibly attentive; when my child's clothes and shoes got wet, the butler even brought us a drying rack, hangers, and laundry detergent. There's also a kids' play area that's very clean and new. And the breakfast! It was absolutely delicious! Out of all the hotels we've stayed at from Kunming to Dali, this one had the best breakfast. We rented a car and drove ourselves, and we could park right outside our courtyard, which was very convenient. Our package also included a travel photoshoot, which turned out great. We'll definitely stay here again if we get the chance. We've been missing it ever since we left. Oh, and it's also quite close to the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple and the Old Town.
