Our airline cancelled our flight from Tenerife South Airport at the last minute, and rerouted us via the North airport the next day and we had to very quickly book our own accommodation for the night. Booked through Bookings.com pretty much based on proximity to the airport as we had a very early flight the next day. After all the stress of the day the reception staff were lovely and welcoming. Our room was massive and well equipped. We eat at the hotel and it was good and also very reasonable. Due to the early flight and the clocks going forward we were a little anxious that we would set our alarms incorrectly or they wouldn’t update overnight. The night receptionist said he would do a walk up call for us and also would have a grab bag for breakfast waiting for us, as well as organising a taxi. The call happened and the breakfast bag was waiting for us with the Taxi. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and made what was a very stressful time very pleasant, thank you.

Definitely will be back! We have just had a weekend fri-mon eve and will be returning! The Hotel is quite big and has a adult only pool with a lovely view almost like a infinity pool, then there is a big pool for all! It states a infinity pool and Jacuzzis which is for premium guests but we didnt need it. Both are lovely enough sunbeds. Activities throughout the day around the pool area! There is a snack bar, crepe bar and even a chocolate fountain one night! It is kept clean and there awesome many bars to help yourself or order. There is a sports bar and entertainment every night! The rooms are basic, aircon and everything you need. The food choice is huge! You are spoilt for choice! There are plenty of tables. The food isn't piping hot but we loved it! It generally was really nice! Even vegetarian choices and soya milk and lactose free! There is plenty to do, pool, air hockey, a little park for kids! Games and table football! A kids club! A supermarket 1min away! Sun loungers towels can be hired. If you want late check out, definitely pre book. Can't wait to come back!

Hotel really good and not bad location. No real nightlife but we knew that when booking. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Entertainment was ok not great. Best part was the food! OMG so much choice! Downstairs pool was a good find, warm pool with jacuzzi. Loads of sun beds as well. No getting up early to secure as we could always get some! Highly recommend this hotel

This hotel is excellent we loved every part of it. Stayed in room 620 ideal for reception/pool (level 7) and restaurant (level five) the hotel is spotless the staff are excellent and the sound of the sea each evening is soothing. Tips The hotel is a bit of a distance to the main town it’s very hilly and we only went down once you can walk a kind of cliff path but it’s full of stairs which after a while kills you and gets very tedious. Go out of the hotel walk to the top road go right and you will see a walkway with steps follow them down (they are called the Agatha Christie steps as there is a statue as she had a house there each step has a book title on them) just keep following the road down to the sea front loads of shops and restaurants plus the lido ( which is due to open soon) you can either walk back or get a taxi (4/5 euros) we didn’t bother going again as the Main Street above the hotel had many bar’s restaurants and shops very reasonable priced excellent service not much of a party time if you like that kind of thing down town will be better for you. Food Breakfast is amazing plenty of choice and easy to get through Evening meal got board quickly so used only a couple of times drinks expensive and didn’t approve they charged for water you pay for drinks on the way out or you can charge money to your room and top up when it runs out we preferred to pay as we go drinks wise we preferred to eat out and give to local family business etc. The pool The rule is no personal towels you need to hire them from reception ten euros (refundable with receipt) to change for fresh one one euro exchange but we found we could use both our own and the hotels the reason they like you to use them to show that you are staying there and haven’t sneaked in. The bar is good very professional service. The room Lovely views over the sea the bathroom has been the best I have ever had abroad lives the multi shower lights and the screen window trick great fun to play with tv is crap so we always take a fire stick power lead and remote control Wi-Fi is very good the codes allow two devices per ticket but you can have as many as you like we had three tablets two phones and a fire stick don’t forget to put in the code for your fire stick to make it work you might not get every thing you get at home but it’s better than the tv without it We booked with jet2 excellent transfers etc the excursions we booked was the body trip up the side of the island we managed to see whales and dolphins I do warn it will be a long day 11.45 we left and didn’t get back until eight pm if you don’t like rough conditions sea wise this trip might not be for you as four plus hours on a boat feeling sea sick isn’t much fun there is chance to swim off the boat the food was a bit naff not to everyone’s taste take a jumper it can start to get cold. This is a lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, great facilities, wonderful staff, food ok for the type of property BUT there is this weird “privilege” ranking for guests that absolutely ruined the experience. You pay a premium rate to stay here. In our case we spent more to upgrade our room but then found that there is a two tier system applied. In essence, premium guests sit in a mezzanine restaurant looking down on the plebs. We are served singles glasses of wine and spend every meal trying to catch the eye of over worked waiters to ask for another. We had to sit in the same garden restaurant for lunch (again segregated seating) watching them have an extensive menu of what looks to be, lovely food whilst our options were rubbish burgers, hot dogs or other cheap and poorly prepared other choices. I cannot describe how humiliating this was and we have never felt so poorly treated. I’m certain that the stock response from the hotel will be “we are sorry but hope you’ll come again etc.” Well we won’t- there are plenty of terrific hotels that TUI offer that make you feel appreciated- H10 don’t with this ridiculous segregation, so my advice is to choose another or, if you feel drawn by the location - go B&B and take advantage of the many local bars and restaurants.

This was our third stay at Hotel Botanico, and we felt like we were returning 'home' after a gap of 2 years because of Covid. This is such a beautiful hotel, in a stunning, peaceful garden setting. The rooms are excellent, the staff are so friendly and helpful. Beautiful swimming pools and amazing spa facilities. There are lots of restaurants and bistros very close by, as well as the hotel's own restaurants, and a shuttle bus leaves for the main port just a 10 minute ride, which is full of restaurants, bars and shops etc. Jet 2 holidays were efficient, helpful, and all the arrangements worked.

We had a very pleasant week at La Carabela Hotel at the beginning of April. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly diverse; we especially valued all the fruit and veggies, i.g. oven-baked apples, fried bananas, aubergines and courgette, salad leaves and the sweet cakes. The cleaning of the rooms and making the beds were very excellent and took place often enough, so it was lovely to return in the evenings to a well-cleaned room (there might be a need to clean under the bed say once a week though). Although the open-air pool was not in use, we enjoyed swimming a few times in the covered pool, which is of course very handy should it rain. The view from our balcony towards Teide was breathtaking both during the day time and at night. The view from the roof terrace of the hotel was also very impressive and that area would be worth using more. Although there was a need for some repair work here and there (locks on the balcony and bathroom doors, shower handle), the overall feeling in the hotel was tidy and pleasant. The adjacent building was being renovated, but the construction noise did not bother us at all. The area where the hotel is located is nicely peaceful, but yet at a very short walking distance from a variety of shops and restaurants. Also we got a nice amount of exercise when walking down to the lower part of the town, to the beach and Lago Martianez, and then back up to the hotel.
