I chose a room with separate bath. The bath is not a Western-style bath that you can lie in. It’s square shaped and about four feet wide and long. You can sit in it, but you can’t recline in it if this is something you’re looking for. The hotel offers an outstanding breakfast at the Tavernist. Breakfast here is easily more delicious than at more expensive hotels. Even the coffee was great. Breakfast is a la carte rather than buffet but the servings are perhaps even excessively generous. The hotel location is also very good. I wasn’t that familiar with Taipei when I booked but the location turned out to be convenient. It’s a few minutes walk to Zhongxiao Fuxing station, which can take travelers to a few tourist spots, and about a twenty minute walk to Huashan Creative Park. There are Japanese-style department stores with restaurants in the basements and upper floors in addition to local cafes and restaurants.

What sets this hotel apart: If you are looking to stay in a quiet neighborhood (instead of a hotel along a busy/noisy street) with a good value/price, great service, and convenient location in Taipei, this hotel is a strong contender. This combination is what sets it apart from other hotels. Hotels nearby are either priced higher or along the main streets. Positives: - The team's service and attitude are consistently professional and courteous throughout my entire stay. Everyone was professional. No one came across rude, impatient, or defensive. They thanked me for choosing them and also took responsibility/ownership on things they did not do right the first time. - They took notes on things you said and requested with immediate response or within 24 hours if needed more time. - They practiced active listening, asked clarification questions to ensure what I needed/requested. - Excellent breakfast, full of variety. They kept standard items standard by providing them daily but also added some variety by changing 3-5 dishes. All foods are fresh and prepared on site. - Housekeeping service had great attitude and was efficient in cleaning throughout the entire stay. - They have an elevator. Most hotels in Taiwan have elevators. - They are happy to help moving your luggage upon request. - Excellent hot shower temperature and pressure - Amenities provided in the room is abundant with good quality - They are trustworthy in honoring pre-agreed upon check-in requirements. Before booking this hotel, I asked about the check-in requirements and what I felt comfortable providing and what not. They agreed and executed accordingly. I appreciate how their words and actions are consistent, which is very different from some hotels (Best Western always acted inconsistently, Marriott, Hilton, and IHG hotels are spotty, some are good, and some are bad) in the US and Canada where they said/agreed one things and acted differently when I arrived at the front desk for check-in. Hotel services in Taiwan are generally much better in terms of service attitude and honoring their words. - Effective expectation management and communication - When raising issues, they took it with positive attitude: they always first owned it by providing a sincere apology, tried to solve it immediately. If they couldn't solve it right away, they asked for more time and provided a timeframe on when it would be solved. Throughout my stay, 50% of issues were solved immediately, and 50% were solved within 12 to 24 hours. No issues remained unresolved. - Common areas are always very clean and organized. Negatives: - Not always have people at the front desk to help open the heavy doors. Better to change it to auto-sliding doors. - The elevator carpet is gross and dirty: time to change it. There was a hair hidden underneath the hand towel on first day - raised the issue and they fixed it the next morning. The hotel was almost walking distance to tourist attractions, shopping malls and even night markets. The services of the hotel staffs especially the front desk reception were attentive and courteous. You can even do your own laundry free with detergents provided at the hotel laundry room. We enjoyed our stay very much with our rooms view of Taipei 101. Mrt and bus station were just beside use hotel. Big improvement since my last stay before covid-19. Keep it up. Will be back again.

As someone who often travels for conferences, I found my recent 5-day stay at CHECKinn Taipei XhiYi to be exceptionally convenient and enjoyable, especially considering its proximity to the Taipei International Convention Center and its affordability. CHECKinn's location is its crowning glory. Just a short walk from the Taipei International Convention Center, it was incredibly convenient for attending my conference. This proximity saved me valuable time and the hassle of navigating through traffic. Additionally, being in the heart of the Xinyi district, I was close to major attractions and public transport, making it easy to explore Taipei during my downtime. It's a stone's throw away from some of Taipei's most iconic attractions, like Taipei 101 and the vibrant night markets. The proximity to the MRT station made navigating the city a breeze. The staff at CHECKinn were exceptional. From the warm welcome at check-in to their helpful recommendations for local dining and sightseeing, they truly went above and beyond. Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests’ comfort stood out. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout my stay, which was particularly reassuring in these times. While the hotel excels in style, the amenities are somewhat basic. The complimentary Wi-Fi was reliable, and the lounge area was cozy and welcoming. However, I missed having a fitness center or a pool, which could be a downside for some travelers. In terms of value, CHECKinn is a clear winner. It was the most affordable option near the Taipei International Convention Center, without compromising on quality or comfort. For budget-conscious business travelers, it’s a perfect choice.

The hotel was very conveniently located, near the mrt station and the shopping area. The room was also very spacious and comfortable. Surprised that the bathroom had a bathtub! Bed was comfy too. Although the hotel is far from the city, everything about the hotel itself is amazing. Book this place to get away from the craziness of downtown, but be sure to leave from here more than 4 hours to get to the airport if you're driving. It can be troublesome. I’ll return here again because I enjoy the ease and air of the room. It fits~ Both Double and King rooms are nice and the Internet is blazing fast in case you need to stream or hold online meetings.

We are here to visit a good friend from National Taiwan University. We stayed here for 5 nights and were very pleased with the service. It was our first time here, so there were many places we wanted to visit. The waiter in the lobby answered a lot of questions for us, provided me with local maps, arranged taxis for us, and provided travel suggestions. At night, we slept soundly on the big bed. It was really a big bed, super big. It's always nice to come back to the hotel lobby after a tiring day of travel. Highly recommend this hotel! Pease

The hotel is close to public transportation and retail outlets. The customer service was not too bad, but the hotel needs more maintenance. Traveling here to find accommodation, breakfast and coffee attracted me, really excellent! Short stay over 2022/2023 New Year holiday weekend. Location was ok, about 10 minutes walk from a MRT station. Hotel was packed during the stay, the lobby, overcrowded small breakfast lounge and most places were too small to accommodate if there were more than a few guests at one time. The food during breakfast was very nice for me, and the staff were busy preparing and refilling the food that got finished very quickly. Most of the staff were ok, but would not interact or or help much; probably due to the amount of workload. The rooms were decent to good. Price was average to high, but also due to holiday period. One biggest unpleasantness was during check-out, with a crowded lobby and staff seemingly very eager for me to leave immediately after return of room card. No chance of leaving any baggage till later part of the day, and I got spot-checked and shooed immediately by the guard when I put down my bag to take my belongings, the moment I stepped out of the hotel entrance. The check-out experience and overcrowding during full occupancy, was unpleasant for a probably ok hotel.

Location was very convenient. Its a 10 min walk to the taipei 101 MRT station and right under the hotel is a 7/11 convenience store with a MOS burger fastfood chain. The building does seem old but the interior and rooms were recently renovated. My only problem was their plumbing in the toilet. It releases a bad odor on certain times but other than that the room is really clean

The photo of the room is completely inconsistent. The room is very small and even I live with a double bed. 3⃣️The boss said that the building is old ant nest You can’t clean it up. Don’t eat in the room. It’s only when you arrive at the hotel. 4⃣️Seriously close to the locomotive on the roadside, my room is terrible... I don’t know why I was so unlucky. I have been preparing for the CFA for eight or nine months. Because of the hotel, I only slept for three or four hours the night before the test, which was a heavy-duty two-session test in the morning and afternoon. I completely failed in this garbage hotel, or the room on the side of the main road just close to Keelung Road. The windows are extremely bad. I heard the sound of the locomotive for two days. In fact, the perfect and complete test schedule was completely ruined in this bad hotel (mainly because the sound of the locomotive can’t sleep at all) 5⃣️I had a room before I left.
