The Sherwood Palm Hotel, Torquay Beach

Would say this is more of a hostel than a hotel, dirty not clean no toilet roll and empty drug bags and vodka bottle in draws, should not be open

The hotel was filthy! None of the amenities were available. The bar was closed and the restaurant baracaded closed. There was an old empty bottle of alcohol in the bedside table and cobwebs and mould everywhere.

Booked hotel for my daughter and partner and kids one 14 one 6 they tried calling hotel several times to confirm latest time to book in and no answer, when they arrived at hotel around 9pm instead of 1 double bed and queen sized bed they were given 3 single beds and 1 extra pillow and a blanket for sleeping on floor, when they said not good enough the reception chap was more worried about his ice cream melting than sorting anything out, Would not recommend staying here

The most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. All of the pictures advertised are false! We booked 2 rooms for 1 night as we had stayed at the premier in the previous night and the children had such fun we were reluctant to leave Torquay. The rooms were no more than you would expect if you were a homeless person with no where else to go. The curtains were net one side and a bit f curtain the other. The double rooms toilet door was off it’s runners so you couldn’t close it. Tiles in the shower were broken and the sink in the twin room was badly cracked. The walls were awful with patched up wood chip. The beds were broken with cloth coming off and my mattress had vomit on. The mattresses were worn out and had no support left in them. My kettle blew up. My husband had to bring one from the other room boiled so that we could enjoy a coffee before fleeing. We had no sleep. There was no lounge no garden and no hospitality. Do not stay here, unless you want to suffer as we have done.

I turned up to check in on 09/02 to a locked door, rung the bell for over half hour, eventually a "resident" answered the door and said the hotel is closed to the public, I booked my room in Sept 23, no one contacted me to tell me this hotel is now closed and i need to find another accommodation, no refund has been given, no staff there to speak to me on the day and I can't get hold of anyone, I'm appalled

Absolutely horrendous place no maintenance being carried out , terrible small smelly rooms, very unprofessional booking in procedure find your own name from the list definitely a GDPR breach by showing other customers details, if Ur completely desperate & in need of shelter from the apocalypse it might just be ok

******e needles in cupboard children found and now in hospital awaiting tests. Horrendous staff laughed and said at least it’s not a blocked toilet why call police and ambulance. Because of hiv and hepatitis from ******e needle found by my children in wardrobe. Worst experience of my life avoid at all costs. Shambles of a hotel run by clearly ************.

Disgusting Light hanging off ceiling Fire alarm is coved with plastic Damp on wall Stain all over the wall Wardrobe is broke Mirror is dirty And the toilet is hanging off Door lock is broke we couldn’t get in are room
