Trecarn Hotel

"Πολύ φιλικό προσωπικό. Η τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου είναι καταπληκτική και κοντά στο σταθμό του λεωφορείου, και πολύ κοντά στην παραλία. Είμαι πολύ ικανοποιημένος με την κράτησή μου."

Yardley Manor Hotel

"What a gem. I was looking for a budget friendly hotel for a couple of nights whilst my kiddo was in Exeter with a uni course. Greeted by Steve, who was friendly and informative. We actually arrived a couple of hours early, but he gave us our room key and fob to get in after hours and asked if we could wait for an hour or so before heading to the room. This suited us fine as we wanted to explore Torquay anyway. Booked the cosy room, fully aware that it was one of the smaller ones, but for the price, I couldn't knock it. The room was compact but clean and practical. There was a fan, small fridge, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and tea and coffee facilities. Everything that you need, really. There was also a TV, but in all honesty, we were not in the hotel room to do more than sleep, so we never switched it on! The ensuite was small, clean, and tidy.. but then all you need is a loo, sink, and shower, I wasn't planning on spending hours in there. The hotel itself was positioned perfectly for us. People say that it's a steep hill (they clearly don't live in Wales ). The hill really wasn't that bad. The hotel was a little dated, but I would argue that it had character. It's not part of a chain, so no, it's not modern, but if you want generic and modern, I am sure a premier inn or travel lodge would be more your thing anyway. The Griffin Bar downstairs was lovely. We didn't have breakfast, but I am guessing that that's where it was served. Clean tidy and lovely staff. Now the pool... what a flipping luxury in the heatwave. Yes, you had to walk through a private area. Yes, there are signs that the proprietor and his family live at the hotel. But I do not believe that this warrants the negative reviews. Did this detract from the use of the pool. No, it did not. The pool had adequate seating around it, and it honestly felt like we could have been anywhere abroad. It was peaceful, private, secluded, and a welcome addition to our stay. I would book again if I was planning to visit Torquay again. Thanks for hospitality. It was much appreciated."

Premier Inn Torquay Seafront

"Stayed here for 3 nights. Booked a premier plus room and found that my room was good. It was clean and a good size. I really liked the style of the building and the beer garden & terraces which is what made me book this hotel. Although, as i was looking around, i felt it was a shame that the upkeep on the premises wasn't really kept up to its full potential. The building itself is actually really beautiful but needs a new paint job. The grounds and terraces i felt wasnt looked after enough. Some more plants and landscaping need attention. Rubbish not being picked up and random old umbrellas just lying on the floor rather than stored. Random old tables & chairs just scrapped but not hidden or disposed of. Just get rid of them all if you're not using them, its making you look lazy. Not only that, it's not a great sight to look at out your bedroom windows. Have a tidy up and deep clean, then it will be better. I was thinking about doing it myself at one point. The tables in the restaurant were sticky. I found the service from all members of staff very good and they did work long days i noticed. They were all polite and friendly. Please pass on my thanks to them for their customer service. The food was also very nice and came to our table quickly. After all my points above, it wouldn't stop me from staying again. I liked it here. Just please tidy up. Its such a beautiful building. Thankyou for my stay"

The Robin Hill

"Lovely welcome by Erica and appreciated that our room was ready early. Lovely spacious family room with high ceilings. Very clean with good info in welcome pack. Stunning views and enjoyed a drink from our minibar sat in the garden and a cuppa in the morning. Very generous complimentary snacks which our boys loved and a well stocked mini bar. Comfy beds and a cool room considering the very warm weather recently which was appreciated. Nice kettle with generous range of teas and coffee and hot chocs. Beautiful bone china cups and saucers and little gold spoons and really lovely water glasses in the bathroom. Good parking available. Only downside was the small size of the bathroom for a family room and quite a tight space for the toilet but lovely shower. Breakfast was delicious and the perfect size portion plus cereals and yogs and toast - everything we needed. Great location too as just a 5 minute walk into the harbour. Would definitely return to Robin Hill if visit Torquay again and thank you for a lovely visit."
