"In a word, it's terrible. The only option is to stay for 1-2 nights, then all the negatives won't matter. 1. I arrived around 3:30 PM, was told the room was still occupied, and was offered the chance to stay at another hotel until evening. No problem, I went to the beach, took a walk, and returned around 10:00 PM. The room wasn't ready yet, there were people in it. I didn't check in until 11:15 PM. Basically, the day was wasted. 2. The room was dirty, with sand on the nightstands and a general lack of cleanliness. 3. The room description states: no desk, garden view of a construction site and a sealed door, barely any Wi-Fi in the room, laptop connection, no phone. 4. No soap, shower gel, shampoo – nothing. One thin towel, too thin to dry a kitten. 5. And most importantly, there was no cleaning service in 4 days. None. Absolutely no one entered the room. I strongly recommend it."

"Ωραίο ξενοδοχείο, σχεδόν λυπηθήκαμε που μείναμε εδώ... νόστιμα πρωινά, ωραία βραδιά, καθαρή πισίνα και πολύ φιλόξενο προσωπικό... και το δωμάτιο μυρίζει πολύ ωραία... λεμονόγρια... μείον τα δωμάτια είναι πολύ βαριά ακρόαση. Προσπαθήσαμε να κοιμηθούμε νωρίς, γιατί υπήρχε πρώιμη ανατολή... αλλά μέχρι τις 10 το βράδυ, ακούσαμε τους γείτονες να χτυπούν με κεριά και να μιλάνε στο δείπνο. Άλλο ένα μείον είναι η θέση του κλιματισμού. Έχει φυσάει στο κρεβάτι, και δεν υπάρχει κουβέρτα στο ξενοδοχείο, μόνο σεντόνια. Έχει κρύο, χωρίς κλιματισμό - ζέστη 😁 Αλλά γενικά, αυτά τα δύο μείγματα δεν έχουν αποκλείσει την θετική διάθεση, γιατί το ξενοδοχείο μας φαινόταν πολύ ωραίο, ξεχωριστό και θα ήθελα να το σημειώσω για το βιβλίο που έδωσε ο γιος μου. Πολλά ενδιαφέροντα πράγματα που έκανε, ενώ περίμενε για δείπνο ή τη μέρα. Υπάρχει ένα δώρο στο βιβλίο. Πολύ γλυκό. Παρεμπιπτόντως, πέντε λεπτά μακριά από το ξενοδοχείο είναι μια υπέροχη παραλία! 🥰 και δεν υπάρχουν σχεδόν άνθρωποι εκεί."

"The worst place I’ve stayed in for years. Don’t know where to start. Service was atrocious. The photos on this site are fictitious. The pool is small and full of bugs. The apartment was a nice size with 3 nice size rooms and spacious living area. That is the only positive thing I have to say. The curtains in the room did not keep any of the light out and my whole family woke at 6:20 am. When I told the manager he just nodded. No care for customer happiness here. At the pool area, the were a shortage of sunbeds. There was no staff there to ask for help. We stood there for 20 minutes before I had to walk to the reception to get them to send someone over to our side ( the place is split into 2 wings). He finally arrived and it took him 2 hours and 20 mins to cone back with beds. The sunbed toppers are as thin as a sheet and soiled. The “restaurant” sub standard. Breakfast so limited. Can’t order a coffee or eggs. Just a simple buffet. We left the place 3 days early and the staff didn’t even bother asking what was wrong or what they can do to make our stay better. I would stay right away from this pace. The beach is beautiful and any other place along it will be far better."

"Overall, it's a good place: spacious rooms, 30 meters from the endless, deserted beach (through the grounds of the neighboring resort). You can use the resort's sun loungers. Breakfasts were excellent. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The staff was polite and helpful. Any issues that arose were resolved promptly. The main problem was upon check-in, when the owner said he couldn't see my reservation. It turned out his infrastructure was tailored exclusively to *********** and Agoda. It was a bit of a bummer..."

"I visited this place with my wife in July 2025. We were travelling to Trinco for 2 days. We were running late so we contacted the property. They asked us the approximate time we would take to reach the place and informed us that they would keep the a/c on an hour before we reach so we would be comfortable on arrival. This one act of service is where I would start off my opinion of this place. Here the service is something other hotels need to ponder upon. The staff are very friendly. They make sure to find out our needs and try to resolve it asap. They helped us find a good deal for snorkeling in Pidgeon island, they prepared a special Sri Lankan style breakfast and lunch on our request, they arranged transport for us in the early hours of the morning (Pickme/Uber was not responding at that time) at the last moment with no extra charge and so on. The friendly service and attention to our care really touched us and made our trip more memorable. In respect to the rooms, there is some aspects that need attention. Shower Plumbing, exhaust were issues, itsy bitsy details missing that would otherwise perfect the stay there. But the room was neat, washroom was clean, moderately sound insulated room. The basic facilities needed in a 3-4 star room were met. The pool was small but ok, but if you are spending your time around Alles Garden and the beach, the pool is irrelevant. I would say that, I really enjoyed my stay there. I really thank the staff there. I hope you continue to provide such wonderful service and hopefully if fate gives us a chance, we would definitely visit the property again. Thank you Havana Club."

"Hotel owners were a lovely couple. They are sweet and kind. Feeding the stray dogs and they own a cat and a cute puppy at the hotel. Jacob the co-owner is a very experienced hotelier. I like his sharing of his stories and chatting causally about his life. My room is at the top floor, no lift, and air-con. It has a viewing platform to a partial seaview. There's construction going on nearby so afternoon nap can be interrupted. The beach near the hotel is wonderful, you can see fishermen working and the few restaurants serve dinner."

"Location is one of the best in the world. Atmosphere is extremely relaxing. Particularly because the premises are large, the buildings are spread out and low-key, and the garden stretching from the hotel to the beach is shaded and welcoming - just fabulous. The rooms are spacious. Perhaps the arrangements could be improved so that in such a large room one does not have to stare at the luggage from the bed. Good value for money for an overseas visitor. Pricey for locals. Very clean. Some manner of cleaning off the sand from your feet would be welcome. No noise issues in general. However the sound level of music is too high. Actually there should not be any music at the beach restaurant- guests prefer to hear the sounds of the ocean. Service was excellent. We particularly commend the personalised service of Mr Chandana (Bar & Restaurant Supervisor) and Mr Nilushan (Chef). Food was very good but should offer more choices for vegetarians. WiFi did not work in our rooms -3 and S2."
