初めての長崎県旅行でまず来たのが雲仙のこのホテルです。 【部屋】 部屋に入ると雲仙の湯畑が目の前で感動。広くて清潔、テラスもついていて部屋についているビールを飲みながらリラックスでき、最高でした。 普段温泉旅館では落ち着かないの浴衣ではウロウロできないのですが、館内着は着心地がよく、これで食事をいただきにいきました。 【温泉】 部屋にある温泉風呂はとてもリラックスでき、アメニティも質が良い。なにより、いつでも何度でもざぶんと入れるのがとても良いです。最初は大浴場がないのはちょっと残念かもと思いましたが、むしろ最高でした。 バスローブもあるので、風呂上りはこれを着てテラスで涼めました。 【食事】 洋風コースで、魚も肉もなにもかも美味しい。朝食は和食、洋食を選べます。和食にしましたが、これまたすべてが最高に美味しかったです。食事のスペースもレトロな感じですばらしい雰囲気です。 【スタッフ】 とても親切で、気持ちよくすごせました。 【その他】 2つのカフェエリアがあり、アルコールなどが無料で楽しめてお得。絵ハガキを無料で送れるサービスなどもあり、優雅な時間を過ごせました。 【総合】 良質な温泉と美味しい食事、温かいサービス、私のこれまでの中で最高のホテルでした。 遠くてなかなか来られないですが、このホテルに泊まるためにまた長崎県を訪れたいです。ありがとうございました。

An hour and a half by taxi from Nagasaki Station. To the famous Unzen Onsen. It feels like a small Owakudani in Hakone. The inn is this inn when it comes to Nagasaki. Stayed in a separate private room with an open-air bath. The Sukiya-zukuri made by the Miya carpenter has a cool appearance and a splendid building with pillars, but the facilities inside are a long time ago. The garden is wonderful, the open-air bath is the best, the hot water is moderate, and the amenities are substantial. There is a set of cosmetics of a certain pearl in a resort hotel in Tokushima, and the feeling of service a long time ago is undeniable. The number of dishes was too large to enjoy everything. Sashimi is normal, probably because the season I went to was not good. The meat was fatty. However, the staff was really impressed. I am admired by the politeness, cleanliness, and behavior. I think it is worth staying only for the staff's hospitality service.

first impression will be ”bad” but after good relax in the onsen all is forgotten. Parking available at 500 yen over night Check in fast - NO English. They have all details that you might need written on big cards in English. Room is very big. Nice varenda. However smell of smoke of cigarette. Amenities - ok. Wifi - ok The onsen is in next building so you need to pass via the reception area. Also this is old place but have big windows and if you in day time you can enjoy the view. We did not took breakfast so no comment. As it is very cheap and the target is onsen I believe it give best value

We stayed at Iseya a whole week while visiting my partner’s son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in a nearby town. We have stayed in Obama previously for the same reason, and the town was just as nice as we remembered. But this was the first time we had stayed at Iseya, and we are so glad we did. The ryokan has been there for centuries but was rebuilt in 2019 and now has all the modern comforts. The in-room private onsen is fantastic, real geothermal spring water, and really hot. The views and sunsets over Tachibana bay are great and we enjoyed watching the local older people play “grand golf” on the town playing field opposite the hotel (with the bay behind) every morning at 7 am. But it is the staff who really make the place special, so friendly, despite our very poor Japanese, and several speak good English. We really felt welcome, despite being the only foreigners staying there on most days. The breakfasts are fantastic, no need for lunch, and different every day. We ate there just one night and the meal was equally good. The housekeeping was immaculate. Overall highly recommended, and although not cheap, not vastly expensive either and definitely good value.

I was as little apprehensive staying here given the poor ratings, but I couldn't have been happier. Staff were friendly, and made an effort, although only 1 reception girl spoke any English. I had a Japanese style room overlooking the lake. It was massive, and very comfortable. The only issue was that the windows weren't double glazed, and it was freezing outside (-8c overnight), and the sitting area got extremely cold. I guess it doesn't normally get this cold though. The room was warm with the sliding doors closed. The onsen were perfectly acceptable. The rooftop one was great in the snow! I had half board. The food options were extensive at both breakfast and dinner. If you don't eat Japanese food the choice will be quite limited though. Good selection of free drinks, and decent selection of paid for alcoholic drinks. There's loads of common areas and places to relax. A previous commenter mentioned the long corridors, which is true, the wrong room can mean long walks to the onsen and restaurant. Overall, 5*. But remember this is a JAPANESE hotel, catering to domestic tourists, so don't expect an international style hotel!

Other reviews seem a bit old, but breakfast seems not to be provided now. I bought ingredients at a nearby supermarket without meals and made it a steamed dish, but it was a fun experience. One mistake was that I should have prepared seasonings (salt, mayonnaise, etc.). The staff will kindly teach you how to use the steamer. The room was a very clean room with a slightly spacious Japanese room of ３ F, but it faced the national highway on the west side of the building. There is only this road on the west side of the Shimabara Peninsula, so there is not much traffic, but cars and trucks were running at night. It seems better to avoid people who are concerned about noise. Or the room that does not face the national highway may be different. Also, the other side of the national highway is the sea, but the view is almost impossible because the government office is in front of you. The bath and sauna were good. I think people who are looking for a hot spring inn that can be cheap and self-sufficient can enjoy it.

I chose this place for the first time in Unzen, because it is close to hell. Welcome drink service, kind and polite response of staff, room food, hot springs. I was able to spend it slowly. Because many celebrities were used, I enjoyed walking in the corridor while watching the color paper. One thing I was sorry about was that the yukata prepared in the room was different from one in other rooms. The pattern was different, and only I had the inn name, and I thought that I had brought it wrongly for men in the dressing room, and everyone was the same except me. I thought about whether I was changing yukata so that I could see at a glance by the price of the plan or whether there was no other intention, but I was a little disgusted with the gaze from other customers. Not impressed by this hotel. For starters, it's the first time in my life that I had to pay for the stay in cash. I stayed in ten hotels across Japan, all but this one took credit cards. I have travelled extensively across all continents (except Antártica), including rural Brazil, inner city Marrakech, etc, never had to pay for a night using cash in forty years. I understand that Japan is very cash based, not bothered that small commerce and restaurants take only cash. But the other nine hotels accepted credit cards, time to get on with the times, just ridiculous. Hotel itself looked worn and dated. Must have been luxurious when it was built in the fifties, but by now the carpets look old, halls and room need painting, external swimming pool is off limits and crumbling, elevators are old and creaky. Onsen was nice, but water was not very hot. Most of the signs were in Kanji only, painful to have to use Google Translate to find out where reception is (bottom floors are confusing), in an international hotel (fortunately there was wi-fi). No need to translate everything, but at least get the basics done. On the positive side, room was nice, breakfast was very good, staff very polite and helpful. If you are a fifties buff and want to stay somewhere that takes you back, this is the hotel for you.

The most satisfying thing about this trip to Saga was to book the luxurious sea view room of this hotel, facing the sea, and there is a semi-open-air hot spring in the room. We stayed at Iseya a whole week while visiting my partner’s son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in a nearby town. We have stayed in Obama previously for the same reason, and the town was just as nice as we remembered. But this was the first time we had stayed at Iseya, and we are so glad we did. The ryokan has been there for centuries but was rebuilt in 2019 and now has all the modern comforts. The in-room private onsen is fantastic, real geothermal spring water, and really hot. The views and sunsets over Tachibana bay are great and we enjoyed watching the local older people play “grand golf” on the town playing field opposite the hotel (with the bay behind) every morning at 7 am. But it is the staff who really make the place special, so friendly, despite our very poor Japanese, and several speak good English. We really felt welcome, despite being the only foreigners staying there on most days. The breakfasts are fantastic, no need for lunch, and different every day. We ate there just one night and the meal was equally good. The housekeeping was immaculate. Overall highly recommended, and although not cheap, not vastly expensive either and definitely good value.

It really seems like a better accommodation than I expected. The location is great with a view of the sea, cleanliness, facilities, breakfast, etc. There is no flaw. Not impressed by this hotel. For starters, it's the first time in my life that I had to pay for the stay in cash. I stayed in ten hotels across Japan, all but this one took credit cards. I have travelled extensively across all continents (except Antártica), including rural Brazil, inner city Marrakech, etc, never had to pay for a night using cash in forty years. I understand that Japan is very cash based, not bothered that small commerce and restaurants take only cash. But the other nine hotels accepted credit cards, time to get on with the times, just ridiculous. Hotel itself looked worn and dated. Must have been luxurious when it was built in the fifties, but by now the carpets look old, halls and room need painting, external swimming pool is off limits and crumbling, elevators are old and creaky. Onsen was nice, but water was not very hot. Most of the signs were in Kanji only, painful to have to use Google Translate to find out where reception is (bottom floors are confusing), in an international hotel (fortunately there was wi-fi). No need to translate everything, but at least get the basics done. On the positive side, room was nice, breakfast was very good, staff very polite and helpful. If you are a fifties buff and want to stay somewhere that takes you back, this is the hotel for you.

Unzen Onsen is my favorite spring quality, and the town itself is a place where steam can be seen floating in the air.This time, I will introduce the ``Open-air bath with a guest room.''It's a spacious room with a view of the steam, as if the guest room is in the open-air bath, and it's one of the best places in the world. The room had a decoration. The food was delicious and made with locally sourced ingredients, and when I told my partner on the internet that he doesn't like meat, they took care of it, so the two of us were able to enjoy the food without having to put up with it. There were various activities, and when my partner came back after participating, he seemed to be having a lot of fun and talked about it a lot. I realized that it was a lot of fun. After it opened, I had a hard time getting a reservation for this place, so I was finally able to stay there. Kai, I always enjoy my time to the fullest from check-in to check-out. As always, this time I was able to leave feeling particularly satisfied both mentally and physically. My partner and I have said that we have no complaints at all. Thank you very much for making this a really good trip.

I was as little apprehensive staying here given the poor ratings, but I couldn't have been happier. Staff were friendly, and made an effort, although only 1 reception girl spoke any English. I had a Japanese style room overlooking the lake. It was massive, and very comfortable. The only issue was that the windows weren't double glazed, and it was freezing outside (-8c overnight), and the sitting area got extremely cold. I guess it doesn't normally get this cold though. The room was warm with the sliding doors closed. The onsen were perfectly acceptable. The rooftop one was great in the snow! I had half board. The food options were extensive at both breakfast and dinner. If you don't eat Japanese food the choice will be quite limited though. Good selection of free drinks, and decent selection of paid for alcoholic drinks. There's loads of common areas and places to relax. A previous commenter mentioned the long corridors, which is true, the wrong room can mean long walks to the onsen and restaurant. Overall, 5*. But remember this is a JAPANESE hotel, catering to domestic tourists, so don't expect an international style hotel!

I chose this place for the first time in Unzen, because it is close to hell. Welcome drink service, kind and polite response of staff, room food, hot springs. I was able to spend it slowly. Because many celebrities were used, I enjoyed walking in the corridor while watching the color paper. One thing I was sorry about was that the yukata prepared in the room was different from one in other rooms. The pattern was different, and only I had the inn name, and I thought that I had brought it wrongly for men in the dressing room, and everyone was the same except me. I thought about whether I was changing yukata so that I could see at a glance by the price of the plan or whether there was no other intention, but I was a little disgusted with the gaze from other customers. Other than that, it was an inn that I wanted to disturb you if I had another chance.

This time? Then, go to a hot spring inn. I made it ”Seiunso” with a good reputation for word of mouth. As a result, it was a great success! I was able to spend a fulfilling time in a waste of one night. The room was a bed, but comfortable as a wide 々. All the meals were delicious, including Nagasaki Wagyu beef. Breakfast was gorgeous and I replaced it many times. It was good that there was a pigeon, a local dish in Nagasaki. And after all, the bath was good! It was a pity that the large communal bath and the open air were completely different, but both were able to take a leisurely bath as wide 々. Especially while soaking in Tsuboyu, the time to watch the starry sky was very luxurious, and I wanted time to stop. It has become my favorite inn!
