"Very bad hotel, the environment is dirty and messy, and the valuables in the hotel were stolen directly (and they were in the safe), the hotel does not take any responsibility at all! ! ! The clothes in the suitcase were also lost, the washed clothes were not clean, the food tasted bad, the service of the hotel staff was also bad, lazy, unhygienic, and the drinking water provided was not clean. I saw that the waiter directly collected it under the faucet in the bathroom. Everyone must be careful of this hotel!"

"We spent seven wonderful nights at the JAZ Amaluna Beach Resort – Adults Only in Uroa, Zanzibar at the beginning of March 2026 and can absolutely recommend this hotel. We booked our trip through Schauinsland, and everything worked out perfectly. From the very first moment, we felt incredibly comfortable. The entire hotel is very clean and well maintained—you can really see everywhere how much importance is placed on quality. We were especially impressed by the fantastic food—varied, fresh, and simply delicious. Every day there was a great selection and something for every taste. The program and entertainment (Mr. Orthmann) were also very well organized and provided plenty of variety. You definitely won’t get bored here. The balance between relaxation and hotel activities was perfect. Our massages from Melissa were also a dream. However, the absolute highlight was the people in the room and service team—Rose, Jacob, Agness, Edson and Elisabeth. We have rarely experienced such friendly, warm, and helpful staff. You are always greeted with a smile and truly feel welcome. For us, the stay was absolutely perfect and exceptional—so clearly a grade 1 (excellent)! "Didn’t know what to expect after reading some of the reviews, but we had an amazing stay here! Would love to come back. It’s not a five star resort, but you’re not paying for that either. Charming villa right on the Indian Ocean, very good value for money. Our favorite place in Zanzibar, and yes we visited the more famous (and far more busy and expensive) Nungwi and Kendwa. Nice, clean bungalow with good AC, spectacular view of the ocean Good food and drinks at a reasonable price, and very friendly and helpful staff. A relaxing and hidden gem on the east coast. Also the beach is stunning."
