I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel G Yangon, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality that set the tone for my entire visit. First and foremost, the fitness center is absolutely fantastic. As someone who tries to maintain my workout routine while traveling, I was thoroughly impressed by the state-of-the-art gym facilities. The equipment is modern, well-maintained, and comprehensive – whether you're into cardio, weight training, or functional fitness, you'll find everything you need. The space is clean, spacious, and never overcrowded, making it a true haven for fitness enthusiasts. The location is simply unbeatable. Situated in the heart of Yangon, Hotel G offers unparalleled access to the city's most iconic landmarks. I was able to walk effortlessly to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the historic Sule Pagoda, and several beautiful parks in the vicinity. This prime location not only saved me time and transportation costs but also allowed me to immerse myself in the local atmosphere and discover hidden gems along the way. The convenience of having such major attractions within walking distance truly enhanced my cultural experience. The service here is nothing short of exceptional. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. From the concierge who provided invaluable local insights to the housekeeping team who maintained impeccable standards of cleanliness, the attention to detail and genuine care for guests was evident in every interaction. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with any request made me feel truly valued as a guest. Safety and security were never a concern during my stay. The hotel maintains excellent security measures, and I felt completely at ease throughout my visit. Whether returning late in the evening or leaving early in the morning, the well-lit surroundings and attentive security staff provided complete peace of mind. Convenient location for getting around, with restaurants nearby at night. The breakfast was delicious, especially the Burmese tea. You can see city views from the upper floors.

LOCATION Excellent location. In the immediate vicinity of the central train station. A 15-minute walk from Sule, with all its bus lines. A good starting point for exploring the city on foot. Shopping centers are in the immediate vicinity. A 30-minute taxi ride from the airport. SERVICE Excellent welcome and service. Excellent attention at every moment, whether from the housekeeping staff, restaurant staff, concierge, or the gym/spa/pool staff. PS: Please note the $200 USD security deposit required for some reservations. This should be anticipated, although it is payable by credit card (check if this option is worth according to your bank's terms and conditions applied for transaction in Myanmar). ENVIRONMENT Quiet and safe neighborhood. Elegant and comfortable hotel. Harmonious and high-quality layout. Impeccable maintenance. ROOM Superior King Bed Room: Perfect for one person, with a desk area and a small sitting area. Bright. Well laid out. Comfortable. Very good quality bedding. Clean, high-quality linens. Spacious and clean bathroom. Hot water with good pressure. Very good Wi-Fi. Conveniently placed electrical outlets. Excellent lighting. Luggage storage available (for one bag). Pleasant city view. Central air conditioning system. It worked perfectly, but I didn't find the adjustments very user-friendly. BREAKFAST Large dining room. Well-spaced buffet area, open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Elegant dining room. I preferred the back of the room for its quietness, privacy, and comfort. Attentive and courteous staff. A well-stocked and varied buffet. Yet, there was a noticeable difference in quality between the buffet, the kitchen staff, and the buffet presentation between weekdays and weekends. Some of the glass-fronted areas in the dining room were not clean at all: cobwebs, long-standing dust, and general grime. This needs improvement, as it's not what you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. The buffet occupied most of my mornings; however, I'm not sure I would have wanted to pay an additional $20 USD for it if it wasn't already included in the reservation. FACILITIES *The hotel has all the facilities one would expect for a hotel of this standard. In conclusion, I benefited from a very good price offer through Trip.com, which accurately reflected the hotel's value for money. I was truly delighted with my stay and will keep the PARKROYAL on my list of favorites for a future trip.

I spent 7 days at this hotel. Here are the main pros and cons: Pros: — Breakfast included (buffet style). — Two bottles of water were provided daily. — A quiet and peaceful hotel. — Friendly and polite staff. Cons: — Shared shower (but this was stated upfront). — The breakfast was almost the same every day and not always replenished. It's best to go around 7:30–8:00 AM, otherwise, the food might run out. — The shared bathroom and toilet didn't look very clean. — The shower water was salty for some reason. Overall, it's a ”no-frills, get-the-job-done” type of place. For Myanmar, this is a perfectly decent budget option. You can comfortably stay for a few days.

I had originally planned to stay for two nights, but I needed to cancel my second night. The staff were very understanding and accommodating, which I really appreciated. The room was simple and functional. There was nothing particularly luxurious, but it had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious considering the size of the room. I also enjoyed the view from the room. Breakfast was good, and the hotel itself was very clean and well organized. The highlight of my stay was definitely the staff. Even when there was a language barrier, they made a genuine effort to communicate and help in any way they could. Their friendliness and professionalism made a very positive impression. Overall, this is a clean, practical hotel with excellent service, and I would recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable stay in Yangon.

The Thanlwin meets all expectations. The staff is excellent and caters to every need. There's a Chinese restaurant (very good!), a Western restaurant (very good!), a rooftop pool, and a spa/massage area (very good but a bit pricey!). The prices are reasonable for the hotel's standard, though naturally a bit higher than other hotels. However, the quality is excellent. The food was exemplary, and the massages were extremely good, even if you could get them for half the price in Thailand. The cleanliness of the rooms is exemplary. The room amenities and size can only be described as sensational. I had a bathroom with a corner window and could see the pagoda from one of the top floors. Wonderful. The air conditioning is excellent, and the water pressure in the bathroom is perfect.

The hotel is near Chinatown and all the places you need to visit. The hotel looks old from the outside but inside is ok. There’s nothing fancy about it but the location is very good. The staff are friendly and the food is not bad.

I stayed at the hotel for four days. Pros: Each room has a private bathroom, convenient location, and friendly staff. The price is around 900 rubles per night with breakfast, which is a great deal. Breakfast is served (no choice): usually rice with peas and an egg, but there are also bananas, juice, and you can ask for tea or coffee. Cons: There was no hot water—only cool water. The room is very small, more suitable for just an overnight stay. Air conditioning can be uncomfortable in such a small space. Bottom line: A good budget option for 1-2 days, but may be uncomfortable for a longer stay.

One of the best hotels in Southeast Asia. I come here every time i visit yangon. Everything is great about this hotel. The interior design is 7 star. The service and amazing ala minute breakfast 6 star. The dispensable amenities are 5 star. Everything is good. Dev raj and his team of well trained professionals will ensure you a comfortable stay.
