In the evening, after the children went to bed, we rode the B&B’s electric scooter out to buy a barbecue and came back, enjoying the welcome pint beer on the terrace. Because it rained when I came here, I fell into a ditch while walking in an alley and was injured. The boss was very considerate and gave me iodine and band-aids. The room was generally nice, a Ming and Qing dynasty courtyard. I chose it because of reviews saying it was quieter in the back alley. The first night was fine; however, on the second night, after the Spring Festival Gala ended and I was about to go to sleep, the air conditioner unit upstairs started buzzing like a generator, keeping me awake until dawn. I was almost at my breaking point. I felt helpless in the middle of the night and couldn't bring myself to knock on the door to ask them to turn off the air conditioner. It was the first time I'd ever experienced such a loud noise from an air conditioner unit. Later, it was two units blasting at me at once. I've attached a video so you can see for yourself ੧😭੧ I told the landlord, but it was useless. I didn't hear from them again until I checked out.

The fresh wild celery and bamboo shoots were foraged by the owner himself from the mountain; the vegetables went straight from the garden to the table in just one meal – fantastic! In the courtyard, you can enjoy tea and watch the fish in the afternoon. We were very satisfied with the service. We arrived late, and the owner arranged for a pick-up and drop-off. He was still cooking at 10 pm – highly recommended!
