"Our stay at Montigo Resorts was nothing short of magical. From the moment my fiancé and I arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury, comfort, and romance. We booked a stunning two-bedroom villa featuring its own private pool, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. The villa was exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, and offered the perfect sanctuary for a romantic getaway. Having a private pool just steps from our bed allowed us to enjoy quiet, intimate swims at any time of day, completely undisturbed.Inside the villa, the attention to detail was remarkable. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and filled with natural light. One of the absolute highlights of the accommodation was the deep, luxurious bathtub. After a long day of exploring and activities, soaking in the tub became our favorite way to unwind and relax together. The housekeeping team deserves immense credit for keeping every corner of our villa pristine throughout our stay, ensuring we never had to worry about a thing.Beyond the beautiful room, our trip was packed with memorable experiences. We are a couple that loves a mix of relaxation and adventure, so we decided to try the ATV riding offered at the resort. It was an absolute blast. Racing through the trails together brought a fantastic rush of adrenaline and added an exciting, adventurous spark to our romantic vacation. The staff guiding the ATV experience were professional, safety-conscious, and made sure we had the best time possible.Of course, no luxury stay is complete without great food, and Montigo Resorts delivered perfectly on that front. Our package included a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning, which quickly became something we looked forward to every day. The spread was incredibly generous, featuring a wide variety of both local and international dishes. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, from the live cooking stations to the fresh pastries and tropical fruits. Starting our mornings together over a delicious, hearty breakfast with beautiful resort views set the perfect tone for the rest of our day.What made this trip truly amazing was how seamlessly the resort blended high-energy fun with peaceful romance. Whether we were splashing around in our private pool, getting mud-soaked on the ATV tracks, or relaxing in our spotless villa, every moment felt special. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile, making us feel valued from check-in to check-out. It was the perfect escape for me and my fiancé, allowing us to connect, create unforgettable memories, and enjoy a flawless blend of luxury and adventure. We left Montigo Resorts feeling completely refreshed and deeply in love with the place, and we already cannot wait to return for another unforgettable stay."

"The hotel has a great view, with a beach and a pool. The breakfast is quite varied and tastes good. The service is decent, and there's a shuttle bus service from Nongsa ferry terminal to the hotel. The room facilities are basic, and there are a lot of ants."

"This hotel's only redeeming quality is its value for money. It's right by a nice beach and next to a small square. The room, however, was a letdown. It looked newly renovated, but probably just refurbished. The first room we were given had a flooding issue; less than two minutes into a shower, water was already pooling around the toilet... The worst part was when the exhaust fan from the ceiling suddenly fell down... I was speechless. They eventually moved us to another room, which felt like it was hastily cleaned, and the hygiene wasn't great. What's more, it took two and a half hours from the repair attempt to getting a new room, which meant we barely had any proper rest on the first night. Their problem-solving efficiency was truly poor. The manager only replied to my email about resolving the issue after 7 PM on the second night, by which point we were no longer interested in their solutions. On the positive side, the breakfast menu changed daily, and they even made latte art with good-tasting coffee. The staff in both the rooms and the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Honestly, if it weren't for the mishaps on the first night and the hotel's inefficient way of handling issues, this trip would have been perfect."

"This trip is to celebrate both me and my nephew's Birthday. As per request, the resort put in their very good effort to decorate up our bed with birthday greeting words and complimentary cake. The front desk staff, upon arrival, are very polite, friendly and gave warm greetings. Rooms are definitely good to stay and is a unique experience for the whole family. Desk counter is there to enquire and purchase about activities outside of resort and in the resort. Overall a very happy stay and we will be back again."

"We had an absolutely incredible stay at Kiki Beach Resort! The location is stunning, but what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Every single staff member we encountered was incredibly warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. You can really tell the workers take pride in making guests feel at home. The food was another massive highlight—absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Every meal was a treat! If I could make one tiny suggestion for an otherwise perfect setup: since the toilets have a beautiful open-concept design, it would be amazing if the resort could consider placing a bottle of bug repellent in there for guests to use. Thank you to the amazing team at Kiki Beach for an unforgettable getaway. We will definitely be back!"

"Absolutely — I’d make it warm and genuinely glowing, while still giving the constructive feedback without taking away from the overall experience. My stay at Banyan Tree Bintan was truly wonderful, and honestly, what stood out the most was the service. Every single staff member we encountered was spectacular — warm, genuine, lovely and absolutely top-notch. You can really tell that the team goes the extra mile, and it shows in the little details and the way they genuinely cared for us throughout our stay. The hospitality felt sincere rather than simply being “good service”, and that made such a difference. I would genuinely return to Banyan Tree Bintan because of the people and the level of care we received. If I had to be a little critical, the food was slightly disappointing when compared with the standards I would expect from Banyan Tree. The villas are also starting to feel a little worn in certain areas and could probably use some refreshing. The in-room TV streaming, especially HBO and some of the other services, was also extremely laggy and frustrating at times. That said, these are small things compared to the overall experience. The warmth, attentiveness and genuine care from the staff really made our stay special. Banyan Tree Bintan, you have an amazing team — please take good care of them because they are truly the heart of the resort. We had a beautiful stay, felt very well taken care of, and would absolutely return. ❤️"

"Our stay at Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Sleeping aboard a beautifully restored historic ship is a unique experience that you simply can’t find in an ordinary resort. The ship’s rich maritime heritage has been thoughtfully preserved while offering modern comfort, making the stay both memorable and relaxing. The hotel itself is highly rated by guests for its cleanliness, service, and distinctive character. The room was comfortable, clean and well-maintained, with charming nautical touches that reminded us we were staying on a real ship. Every corner of the property felt full of history, yet never outdated. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind from the moment we arrived. Watching the sunset from there was absolutely breathtaking. The complimentary heritage tour was also well worth joining, giving us fascinating insights into the remarkable journey of this century-old vessel. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. They were always ready to help with a smile, which made us feel genuinely well looked after. Breakfast was delicious providing a great start to each day. However, one issue we encountered was the hot water supply in the shower. The hot water frequently ran out while we were showering, which was quite inconvenient and uncomfortable. This happened several times during our stay, so we hope the hotel can look into improving the consistency of the hot water supply. One thing to note also, the hotel location has limited dining and shopping options within walking distance. It’s a perfect destination if you’re looking to disconnect, relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings rather than a busy nightlife. Overall, Doulos Phos offers far more than just accommodation—it delivers a unique experience filled with history, beautiful scenery and genuine hospitality. If you’re looking for a memorable getaway that’s different from the usual beach resort, this ship hotel is absolutely worth a visit."

"The room was clean and spacious with a nice view. The location was great, as it is conveniently located near Nagoya Town. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a wide variety of choices. The coffee at the restaurant was also very nice. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our experience. We will definitely come back again the next time we visit Batam!"

"At Nirwana Garden Resort, staff are friendly and genuinely nice. The beach is clean and clear waters that you can see fishes swimming around you… and watch sunset in the sea waters. Its windy and cool in the morning and evening. Food offered at good, esp the lamb shank stew. Also have nice spa - go for the Javanese massage! There are also 3 iguanas kept at the resort. We also went bowling and archery. At night we also went out for fireflies watching and kelong restaurant dinner."

"I had pretty high hopes for Mövenpick Bintan since it’s so highly raved about on Instagram, so unfortunately the actual experience felt quite underwhelming. Our first room came with its own “built-in waterfall” — water was literally dripping down the wall. We were told it was condensation because we had left the balcony door open for too long, but honestly… is 3 minutes too long? They came to clean it up, which we appreciated, but it continued dripping throughout the night and the next day. Things on the table became wet, there were puddles on the floor and the whole room just felt damp. We eventually requested a room change the following day, which they accommodated, although the process took a few hours. My kids were also really looking forward to feeding the fish, but throughout our entire 3D2N stay there was no fish food available. We asked from Day 1 and were repeatedly told they were replenishing it, but it never happened. The facilities also felt poorly maintained. Two out of three pinball machines in the arcade were not working, and one player side of the Pac-Man machine was spoilt. The Kids Club closes at 6pm, after which there is very little for young kids to do. There also weren’t many organised activities during our stay, not even simple things like sandcastle activities. A number of the more interesting activities are separately chargeable, including the motorised bikes, water scooters and cold plunge. I don’t mind paying for additional activities, but combined with the limited complimentary activities, it made the overall resort experience feel less value-for-money than expected. The resort is also very spread out, so getting around often requires waiting for a buggy. That said, there were definitely things we enjoyed. Breakfast had a crazy amount of selection and variety — probably one of the highlights of the stay! We were also there to celebrate our anniversary and the hotel prepared a lovely anniversary set-up for us, which was a very thoughtful touch. The staff did try to resolve our room issue as well, and we appreciated their efforts. Overall, it feels more like an older hotel that has been renovated rather than a genuinely new resort. Having previously stayed at another family resort in Bintan, I found that experience more polished despite it having fewer facilities on paper. Given the hype surrounding Mövenpick, I expected a more polished family resort experience."
