"Overall, it was good. What I liked: the hotel is charming overall, the room was spacious, and the breakfast buffet was good. What I didn't like: very late check-in (from 3 PM). When I mentioned I'd had a long journey, the staff member didn't even try to see if there was a vacant room available earlier. It's not a huge deal, but it was unpleasant. There weren't even the cheapest slippers or a dental kit in the room. How that's possible in the 21st century and in countries with tiled floors is a mystery to me…"

"Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to be as informative as possible and share the information I would have liked to know before booking. This was my 5th trip to Marrakesh and my first stay at Savoy Le Grand. I was quite nervous booking after reading some negative reviews, but overall I had a very pleasant experience. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed by Salah (concierge) and the Moroccan tea man in reception. From check-in to check-out (4 days later), all staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everyone we encountered spoke Arabic, French, and English, which made communication very easy. The foyer is beautiful, and the grounds are extremely well cared for—even more beautiful than expected. That said, there is ongoing construction and upgrades, which are not mentioned on the website. This is currently their quiet season, and the main construction is above the reception building, which is being extended upwards. Noise started daily around 9:15am, drilling around 9:38am, and finished around 6:30pm. Estimated completion is 1 May 2026. If you request a room near the second smaller pool, the noise is much less noticeable. The noise is louder and echoes more around the main pool due to the square layout. The hotel has four pools: two outdoor and two indoor. One indoor pool is heated and includes jacuzzi jets. There is also an additional indoor jacuzzi at the spa, charged at MAD 250 per person for one hour. There are three à la carte restaurants on site: Moroccan, International, and Italian. Directly outside the hotel are a supermarket, Paul, Chilli’s, and Papa John’s. Please note that outside food is not allowed inside the hotel. There is an ATM in reception and direct access to Menara Mall, which closes at 10pm. Special thanks to Nabil at reception, who did an excellent job checking us in. He listened carefully to my needs and arranged early check-in to a ground-floor room close to the restaurants, spa, and gym, with a garden and pool view. Soundproofing from the pool area was good, although hallway noise does travel. The grounds are beautiful, but the ground-floor rooms occasionally had a sewage smell, which I’ve also experienced at other Moroccan hotels. We did experience a few issues with our first room (heating not working, leaking fridge, slow-draining sink). Without us needing to complain, Soukayna from guest relations came first thing the next morning and immediately arranged for us to move to a beautiful suite. This level of customer service, care, and attentiveness is exactly what you expect from a 5-star hotel. In the evening there’s live entertainment music in the bar and outside a light & water fountain display. The suite was stunning—very spacious, with a separate living area, two balconies, lots of storage, mini fridge, large sofa, king-size bed, two TVs, kettle, coffee machine, safe, bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom had two sinks (standard rooms have one), plenty of toiletries (no washcloths), a large shower with both handheld and waterfall options, and excellent water pressure. There wasn’t much space to hang items, and there is a bidet hose beside the toilet. Thank you to the head cleaning lady for the final touches and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. I’d like to thank all the staff for providing us with a wonderful stay. I love the Moroccan people—they are humble, kind, and always willing to help. Despite the construction, I achieved my goal of relaxation and a short break. This is now my new favourite hotel in Marrakesh, and I will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family"

"The hotel is right next to the train station. The cleanliness was just okay, but the area felt safe. There's a McDonald's nearby, and the room had a bathtub. When checking in, make sure to ask about the city tax (this is a common issue in Marrakech hotels)."

"All in all, a decent riad situated a little way from the tourist hotspots in the Medina, but you can still reach Jemaa el Fna in 15 minutes. The rooms are small and simply furnished, and all face the riad’s inner courtyard, so there is limited fresh air. The staff are generally friendly and offer help when needed. Breakfast is enough for a little energy boost in the morning but won’t keep anyone going all day. Although there are advertised quiet hours at night, as a guest you have to ensure compliance yourself. The statement that children are not permitted to stay overnight is also incorrect, which is a problem in light of the previous point. The pool isn’t one in the classic Western sense either; it’s much more of a small cooling-off pool. The prices quoted for the hammam, tours, and food and drink are above the average in Marrakech, so it is advisable to do all these things elsewhere."

"Had a very good stay; everyone was attentive, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. The only minor issue was the room cleaning, which seemed rushed. The floor wasn't cleaned, and neither was the bathroom (the room floor had the same stains, and the mirror was full of smudges, along with dirty floors). Only the towels were changed and the bed was made. Otherwise, no complaints."

"A fairly cozy hotel with all the amenities, beautiful and clean. It's located in a busy area, but you can barely hear anything from the street, only from the courtyard. The furniture is good quality, I liked it 👍🏻"

"Nice hotel, but I expected more given the price. The welcome was average, and there was a wait at check-in. The sofa bed for my son was not at all comfortable; he ended up with back pain. The staff were quite intrusive, constantly asking if we were guests of the hotel, and clearing the breakfast table even before we were finished... Loud music played until 1-2 AM, and there was noise when waking up. Otherwise, the bedding was comfortable, and the location was good."

"The hotel is relatively new, with complete facilities, and is clean and tidy. It provides an electric kettle, tea, coffee, and bottled water. While waiting to check in, they even made tea for us, and upon check-out, they thoughtfully offered us snacks and water – a very considerate gesture. Furthermore, the hotel's location is excellent; it's within walking distance of the train station, situated in a quiet alley next to a main road, making it both convenient and peaceful."
