"Raia Hotel & Convention Centre is big and faces the Kuching airport terminal. Pick-up is at Gate 3 of the airport arrival hall after WhatsApp the hotel. In five minutes, the hotel white van with the Raia Hotel logo came to pick me up. Upon entering the room and activating the power source, the television automatically shows Bloomberg News. I had tried to switch it off to sleep but the remote control did not function. I cannot see the airport runway from my room. It may be possible to see Air Borneo aircraft ascend to the sky at a corner in a twinkling of an eye. I slept for four hours thirty minutes and woke up after the prompt wake-up call to check-in for Air Borneo's flight to KLIA on 8 August 2026. Kindly note that the hotel is under renovation and enhancement works until 19 September 2026. It is not practical to stay in the room during and after breakfast and the room has no minibar. If one does not have a flight to catch in the morning, stay elsewhere in Kuching."

"The hotel is relatively new, with a 'light luxury' style, located right next to the Hilton. The river view isn't as good as the Hilton's, but the night view from the top-floor pool is nice, and the gym also has a great view. However, there were hairs on the bedsheets and on the floor in my room. I asked the front desk to send someone to change them. The sheets didn't feel very clean, and the towels were gray, so I didn't use any of them. It was okay for one night, I guess."

"Our third time staying at the Imperial. We booked a corner Deluxe room overlooking the pool so it was easy to see when the pool was not busy. On this visit we requested a higher floor so the noise from the pool did not disturb us. The room was great. Bathroom had a shower unit and a full size bath. Shampoo and body was provided, plus other essentials like shower cap etc. The breakfast is wonderful and offers a lot of choice. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to the airport which we availed of this time as it fitted well with the departure time of our flight."

"The hotel offers very tasty food with a good variety of dishes. Its location is very convenient, making it easy to access nearby attractions and services. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable for a pleasant stay. In addition, the staff are friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with any requests, making the overall experience enjoyable."

"Good location, but check-out day service needs improvement Stayed at Hotel Meritin Kuching during the first week of August. Overall, it was a decent stay and the location in Padungan is very convenient. The room was generally clean and acceptable, although I noticed some dust on the floor when I first checked in. Check-in was smooth. Most of the reception service was fine, although one night-shift staff member seemed rather unfriendly and did not smile or greet us when we came in and out at night. Main downside – check-out day: There was an event and roadblock around the hotel on the day we checked out, but the hotel did not inform us in advance. As we were travelling to the airport, the hotel should have informed guests about the road closure so that we could leave earlier and plan our transportation accordingly. Because of the event, our Grab driver could not access the hotel, and we had to walk about 1 km with our luggage to the designated Grab pick-up point. This was very inconvenient and, in my opinion, not good hotel service. The hotel should proactively inform guests about events and roadblocks that may affect access to the hotel, especially for guests checking out and heading to the airport. On the positive side, the hotel has a great location for food. Top Spot Food Court is within walking distance for seafood, and you can also try ABC and Ling Loong. Overall, a decent hotel with a good location, but communication and service regarding road closures should definitely be improved."

"Excellent location right by the river with a beautiful view of the opposite bank. It's also very convenient being close to the river tour pier. The reception service was top-notch; not only were they polite, but they also anticipated guests' needs. The breakfast buffet offered a wide and generous selection. However, there weren't enough staff, so during busy times, table clearing was quite slow, and guests had to wait patiently."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at HGCK and was very happy with the overall experience. The hotel was comfortable, the service was excellent, and everything met my expectations. If I return to Kuching for another holiday, I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again. Highly recommended!"

"I'm traveling with my parents so we took a Deluxe Triple Room. Room was nice and clean, spacious as well. During the booking I did mention to have a quiet room. Everything was fine during check in, staff is very friendly and helpful. Since the booking comes with 3 pax breakfast, we were given 3 pcs of RM25 voucher to redeem breakfast the next day. Everything went fine untill the next morning, first of all, the giant exhaust which was just right outside our room start operating at 7am, its very noisy and loud, we couuld not even continue our rest. Then once we head for breakfast, its even more funny. The cafe is a very decent western cafe, but if not mistaken, cheapest hot meal on menu is RM27, without drink, latte was RM10 or RM12, I forgot. So basically you will need to pay if u want a breakfast, and it took more then 30min for our breakfast to be served. No nearby restaurant around the hotel. Especially with elderly, not very friendly. Not a good experience for us, for sure will go for other option next time."

"The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning view of the river. Waking up to the scenic waterfront and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere truly enhanced the overall experience. The hotel’s location is also excellent, making it convenient to explore the nearby attractions along the Kuching waterfront. Overall, a great stay with comfortable rooms and a beautiful river view. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kuching."
