"Absolutely loved everything! A new hotel, sparkling clean, with fresh linens, towels, and a comfortable bed. There's a safe, and the breakfasts are fantastic. It's just a 5-minute walk to the main attractions. They greeted us with tea and local sweets upon arrival. Check-in is officially at 3 PM, but we arrived at 12 PM and they immediately let us check in. They even upgraded our room without any extra charge! When they found out it was my husband's birthday, they brought a complimentary hotel treat to our room – raisins and nuts. In the evening, we ordered dinner on the terrace with a view of the old town. We were the only ones on the terrace, making it incredibly romantic – the old town, delicious food, and the moon. The hotel staff wished my husband a happy birthday and even gifted us a bottle of wine. We absolutely loved the hotel and the service; everything was top-notch. Thank you so much!"

"Pros: -The swimming pool is very enjoyable in 44° weather. -The hotel runs a free shuttle to the old city of Itchan Kala (and will pick you up from there within 5 minutes of calling them). The ride takes 7 minutes (but it takes about 30 min on foot, which makes it less convenient than staying within the old city proper -- but cheaper). -Nice and friendly staff. -Bathtub! (Although weak water pressure) -The mini fridge in the room (first time in Uzbekistan!) was brilliant: makes for much colder water than you can buy anywhere in the country! -Staff very kindly allowed me to stay a whole extra day (before my evening flight) for free! (Low season has its perks) Cons: -Unexplained and lengthy (20+ min) power outages, at random times (but often around 10 pm). I suspect this had to do with their electricity generator. During those outages, there'd be no water in the bathroom either. -Lots of wasps in the garden and around the pool -- no issue while enjoying the pool, but when I explored the garden I bumped into a nest, got swarmed and stung thrice... -Breakfast was included but did not impress."

"Mercure Khiva opened just this year and features a courtyard-style layout covering a very large area. Unfortunately, the room size itself is a bit small, which is a bit of a pity. I originally booked a king room, but the check-in slip showed a twin room. After communicating with the staff, they pushed the beds together, which delayed our schedule slightly. The front desk is advised to double-check reservations more carefully. The soundproofing is indeed very good, but there is still some lingering new-renovation smell, though fortunately, the windows can be opened for ventilation. The breakfast selection isn't exceptionally vast, but it includes local specialties and fruits, and the taste is decent. The location is the biggest highlight—right at the North Gate of the ancient city, offering a quiet yet convenient spot with effortless walking access to the old town. However, the most unexpected aspect was the hotel's atmosphere: it borders a large tomb/mausoleum, and right outside the lobby, there is a stone sarcophagus—presumably left in place because it couldn't be moved during renovation. It definitely maximizes the novelty factor, though it doesn't affect a normal stay. The only real concern is the construction quality. Being newly opened, the bathroom walls are already cracking, the baseboards in the room are warping, and the suction on the bathroom glass door is so strong that the entire door frame shakes when opening it, making it a bit worrisome that it might collapse. Hopefully, the hotel will inspect and reinforce these areas soon. Overall, the location is excellent and the atmosphere is unique, but the hardware details need improvement."

"清潔度：比較的新しい内装で、居室も新しく、水回りの清掃も行き届いていました。 ロケーション：素晴らしい！隣にはスーパー、周辺にはウルゲンチ内でも指折りの大きさのバザールがあります。空港も近く、宿泊していてロケーションに対する不満は一切ありませんでした。 サービス：とても良かったです。所々英語の通じない場面もありましたが、最低限の英語は通じるので手続き等について困ることはありませんでした。洋服の洗濯後はご丁寧にアイロンまで掛けていただきました。 設備・アメニティ：私の部屋だけでしょうか。天井に工事途中？のように思われる四角い穴が空いていました。また、ドライヤーが壊れていてつかえませんでした。幸いドライヤーについては持参していたため困ることはありませんでしたが、髪の長い方については大きな減点対象になると思われます。 全体を通して：気さくなオーナーで談笑も含めて気持ちよく宿泊させていただけました。空港付近への宿泊をご検討されている方には是非おすすめしたいホテルです。"

"The hotel is located in the old city, which is great for daily strolls, allowing us to easily return for a rest whenever we wanted. They offer triple rooms, and while breakfast is simple, it's filling. The staff's English is excellent, making communication seamless, and the service is good. You can call the front desk to book airport pickup and drop-off. The hotel terrace offers fantastic sunrise views! However! When we arrived, the hotel was undergoing simple renovations, which Trip.com and its agents failed to inform us about! This seriously affected our health! But once we checked in, it was non-cancellable! And at that time, we weren't even sure if we could find another hotel. There were paint cans in the hallway, so our room had a strong renovation smell. I immediately contacted Trip.com customer service, but regrettably received no response, absolutely no response! Not even from a human agent! It wasn't until I checked out that they offered me a so-called 'solution'! I expressed my dissatisfaction to customer service and hoped Trip.com would take international bookings seriously and fulfill its responsibilities! Regarding the hotel service, after I reported the issue, the front desk attendant showed me all the remaining rooms, but unfortunately, they all had the same smell. He then helped us turn on the ventilation fan; in short, he did everything he could to help. We had no choice but to make do for one night. If you plan to stay a month from now, I would still recommend it!"

"Not very easy to find, there is a lot of Asian hotels next to it, the driver will think it is there. The hotel room just tasted very big and it was cold and could not open the window. It was a little regrettable but the hotel location was really good."

"The hotel in the real old city can see the Buhari Minaret on the hotel terrace. The restaurant can watch the sunset. The best shooting location of the Minaret in time. The locals have beautiful pictures. Friendly reminder. The hotel is located in the old city. Taxis cannot enter. You need to walk."

"The hotel is located in the center of Ichankara, so you can always go back to your room and take a break during sightseeing. Also, the building was renovated and made by Medrese, so the exterior and interior are very fashionable and nice. It is run by family and the level of service is not good, but it is very kind and at home. I want to use it again next time I come to Hiva."
