While visiting Qingdao, I decided to spend a day in Jinan and chose the Shangri-La. Before checking in, I called to confirm that my room was ready. The lobby is impressive, and the room was spacious, quiet, and well-equipped. The toiletries were excellent, and I particularly liked the eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes and combs. The hotel is conveniently located opposite Quancheng Square, perfect for an evening stroll to watch the musical fountain. Baotu Spring is also within walking distance. There are plenty of malls nearby, and both takeout and dining options are easily accessible. The old city, however, is genuinely congested; it took almost 40 minutes to get to Jinan Station by taxi, and I barely made my train. The hotel also seems to offer intangible cultural heritage activities, but I didn't have time to participate. I would definitely choose this hotel again for a more leisurely trip to Jinan.

It was the best night's sleep I've had since arriving in Qingdao. Even the toiletries smelled great – I loved the toothpaste, and the shower gel smelled really good too. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, and the freshly cooked local specialty noodles tasted authentic, plus the freshly squeezed juices were delicious. The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the beach. Strolling along the coast in the evening, enjoying the sea breeze, was incredibly relaxing. Just checked out of the Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort, and this 3-day, 2-night 'lie-flat' vacation was truly therapeutic. We didn't have to rush to any attractions, making it perfect for families with kids or those looking for a quiet escape. The hotel has a European castle style, and the high-ceilinged lobby with a crystal chandelier immediately sets a holiday mood upon entry. We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room. The room itself was generously sized, but the real highlight was the large balcony. Stepping out, you're greeted by an unobstructed view of Aoshan Bay. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from bed in the morning and the sunset over the sea in the evening – simply an amazing view. While some areas of the facilities showed a bit of age, the overall cleanliness and tidiness were quite good. Downstairs, there's a beach where you can wade in the water or dig in the sand – the kids absolutely loved it. There's also an outdoor children's swimming pool, and hotel guests have unlimited access. Next to it, there's a small petting zoo, where feeding the animals easily fills up a whole day.

Our two-night stay in a junior suite at the Westin Qingdao exceeded our expectations! A special shout-out to Nini at the front desk – her service was thoughtful and attentive, check-in was efficient, and she patiently addressed all our requests. Her warm service was truly appreciated. Housekeeper Aunt Liu Cuihe also deserves praise; she kept our room spotless, clean, and tidy, paying attention to every detail. We also used the hotel's pool and gym, both of which were well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, making for a relaxing swim and workout. The junior suite was spacious and well-laid-out, providing a quiet and comfortable stay. Overall, the service was excellent, and the facilities were well-maintained. It was a wonderful accommodation experience, and we'll definitely choose the Westin Qingdao again when we return to Qingdao. Highly recommended!

This newly opened Hampton by Hilton boasts a very convenient location, close to the subway station with an abundance of dining options nearby. Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and convenience stores are all easily accessible, along with many other restaurants of varying sizes. The old Qingdao specialty restaurant next door serves particularly delicious food. The room was very clean, the bedding was neat, and the facilities were brand new. The front desk staff, Yulia, was friendly and promptly addressed any requests. The breakfast offered a good variety of dishes, catering to both Western and Chinese tastes, and the freshly cooked noodles were very popular. Staying here made our trip very hassle-free. Five-star rating!

The overall environment is excellent, offering a quiet escape while still being centrally located. It's about a 20-minute walk to popular attractions like Baotu Spring, Daming Lake, Wulongtan Park, and Furongli. Across from the experience center, you'll find major shopping malls like Henglong Plaza and Shimao International Plaza, as well as Quancheng Square, placing it right in the commercial hub. I was very impressed with the hotel's design and ambiance, and the service was quite good. The only downsides were the smell from the bathroom, which seemed to have drainage issues and lacked proper deodorization. Secondly, the entire Li Xia District was undergoing renovations, which made walking a bit inconvenient. Lastly, the guesthouse didn't offer breakfast, which was a minor disappointment. Despite these issues, my overall experience was very positive, especially with the guesthouse's design. It has a rich cultural heritage, with beautiful courtyard landscaping and old Jinan photos hanging in the corridors, all contributing to a comfortable stay. I hope they can address the bathroom issue.

For the first few days of my stay in Qingdao, I booked the compact single room. This time, for two days, I tried the double-bed room with a table and a large window, and it is really excellent for the price. The room is extremely clean and has all the basic amenities such as a shower, dental kit, and towels. One small difference is that instead of traditional cloth towels, they provide disposable paper-fiber towels. The room is also much more spacious than the single room, even though the price increase is very small. I paid about 55 RMB for the smaller room, while this room cost around 63–64 RMB, but the size is almost double. The room has a very large window facing the road in front of the hotel. I expected it to be noisy, but surprisingly it was not. There are many power outlets and switchboards, which makes it convenient for charging phones or laptops. The room also has a large TV, along with a table and chair where you can comfortably sit and work. The staff, as I mentioned earlier, are extremely friendly. By the end of my stay, they almost felt like friends. If you order food or buy items from e-commerce platforms like Jingdong or Taobao, the staff will collect the packages and store them safely on the first floor. Sometimes the delivery person will even bring the order directly to your room. I stayed on the fourth floor, and the room was very well maintained and spotless. It also includes a hairdryer and hangers. The room I booked had two beds, so if you are traveling with a colleague for business, this is a great option. The location is not extremely central, but it is still convenient. The nearest subway station is about a 10–15 minute walk, which was not a problem for me. There are also several convenience stores nearby where you can quickly buy snacks or basic items. Overall, the room is very well maintained, extremely clean, and free of dust.
