I'd call this unbeatable. First off, the front desk service was truly above and beyond my expectations. It was snowing heavily, and the bellhop was still waiting outside for guests to arrive, helping with luggage. The outdoor private onsen in the room was also exceptional; the view and atmosphere were incredible. The breakfast, with its unbeatable ocean view, topped it all off. I had a wonderful day in Hakodate!

First off, Ivy's ambiance is subtly pleasant and very comfortable. The service, I found, was just right. The way staff would nod and smile every time I entered, that subtle presence of 'we're here if you need us' felt really good. Almost all facilities have no time limits (except for the sauna which closes at midnight), so no need to rush for showers or the gym. It's perfect for night owls to quietly explore the hotel at any time! The lounge always has replenished snacks and drinks, and public spaces are always tidied up. Of course, this assumes everyone helps maintain a quiet atmosphere. The room layout was smooth, quiet, and conducive to good sleep. The air conditioning and all other facilities were noise-free. The flowing private hot spring was the best white noise for falling asleep. The room lighting was also perfectly designed! I really slept well, so checking out at 11 am was a bit difficult. It would be perfect if check-out could be at 12 pm! Even in summer, it's not boring at all. Although the Summer Lantern Festival isn't a huge event, it's still interesting! At least it's great for photos! I'd honestly love to come back in winter to experience the incredible snowy scenery! There are two young men who speak Chinese, and they are both very nice, so language communication isn't much of a worry. Friends who have stayed here also said Ivy was a pleasant surprise, a place that feels like home during their travels. However, to be honest, the dining was neither particularly good nor bad; nothing surprising there. My review might be subjective, but I genuinely love Ivy.

Location The location of Auberge Ninguruforet is a bit remote and far from the main town center of Biei. There are no nearby convenience stores like Lawson or Family Mart, so guests need to plan ahead for their meals and supplies. This can be inconvenient, especially for larger groups with elderly or young children who may have difficulty walking long distances in the cold winter weather. Check-in ProcessTo improve the check-in experience, it would be helpful if the hotel could request guests to provide their passport details in advance. This would allow for a smoother and faster check-in, without the need for guests to go back and forth to their cars in the freezing temperatures just to take photos for the registration process. Check-out Confusion Even though the hotel had implemented the CCTV audio system to provide clear instructions, the language barrier appears to have caused some confusion for me during the check-out. This can be a common challenge, especially in more remote locations where the staff may not be as fluent in English. Breakfast Since our group requires halal food, it's understandable that we did not include the breakfast option in our package. The hotel could consider offering more diverse breakfast options to cater to different dietary needs in the future. Luggage Handling and Car Access One of the key issues we faced was the need to transport our luggage from the parking area to the unit using carts, rather than being able to drive our car closer to the entrance. This was especially challenging given the freezing -10°C temperatures at night .To improve this, it would be greatly appreciated if the hotel could allow guests to drive our cars closer to the entrance, even if just temporarily, to drop off the luggage. This would avoid the need for guests, especially those traveling with elderly or young children, to struggle with pushing heavy carts through the frigid weather. Scenery Despite the challenges, the stunning winter scenery at Auberge Ninguruforet seems to have made up for it. The -8°C temperature that morning must have created a true winter wonderland, with the beautiful snow-covered landscapes and crisp, clear skies. This picturesque setting is surely a highlight of your stay.Overall, with some improvements to the location accessibility, check-in/out procedures, and guest services, Auberge Ninguruforet could provide an even more enjoyable experience, especially for larger groups traveling with families. The breathtaking winter scenery, however, remains a major draw for this property. We will surely come again to Auberge Ninguruforet, this time leaving our larger luggage in the car and only carrying the essentials we need for our stay in our backpacks. This will allow us to avoid the hassle of transporting heavy bags through the frigid weather, and instead focus on enjoying the stunning winter scenery.By packing light and only bringing what we need for the duration of our visit, we can easily move between our car and the hotel entrance without the struggle of pushing carts through the snow. This will make the check-in and check-out process much smoother, especially for our group with elderly and young family members.Despite the minor inconveniences we experienced previously, the breathtaking winter wonderland at Auberge Ninguruforet remains a major draw for us. We look forward to returning, better prepared to handle the cold temperatures, and immersing ourselves in the serene, picturesque setting that this property offers. With a few adjustments to our packing and luggage management, we are confident our next stay will be an even more enjoyable and memorable experience.

The most comfortable bed I’ve ever had in a hotel. We had some of the best sleep during our stay. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, with plenty of pillows and soft, high-quality linens. The room itself was spacious, quiet, and very well soundproofed, with lots of space to store luggage and personal items, plus many useful amenities. The entire hotel has a modern, clean design and is kept in excellent condition. The staff were very kind, professional, and spoke English, which made everything easy. They even provided umbrellas free of charge when it rained, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel bar also deserves a mention. The service was excellent, the drinks were very good, and the parfaits were delicious. Since parfaits are very popular locally in Sapporo, I definitely recommend trying one here. The location is convenient too: just a short walk from Susukino and the Sapporo city center, close to the station by a few metro stops, and easy to reach by taxi. Overall, this Marriott was a real gem. Because of such a pleasant experience here, I’ll definitely consider staying at other Marriott Courtyard hotels in the future.

We recently stayed at Furano Winery Hitohana Hotel and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The hotel exceeded our expectations in many aspects, and I would like to commend the team for providing such a comfortable and welcoming stay. One of the biggest highlights was the thoughtful range of complimentary amenities. Having free washing machines and dryers was incredibly convenient, especially for travellers on longer trips. The onsen was clean, relaxing and well maintained, and we appreciated the complimentary green tea, roasted green tea, lemon water and drinking water available outside the onsen, which made the experience even more refreshing. The staff were consistently warm, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They were always willing to assist whenever we had questions, which made us feel genuinely welcomed. Our room was spacious, quiet and very well equipped. The kitchenette was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare simple meals. We were also pleasantly surprised that the hotel had already prepared a proper bed for the third person in our group before our arrival. The refrigerator included a freezer compartment, which was particularly useful for storing ice cream and frozen food that we purchased during our trip. We also appreciated that complimentary coffee and tea were available throughout our stay. One of the most memorable experiences was the daily complimentary wine tasting during happy hour. As an added bonus, the hotel also provided us with a voucher to redeem a complimentary bottle of wine at Furano Winery, which was a wonderful gesture and a unique way to showcase the local winery. While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I hope the hotel will consider a few areas for improvement. The hotel's location is slightly away from central Furano, so having a car is highly recommended. This was not a major issue for us, but guests relying on public transport may find it less convenient. The parking arrangement could also be improved. The car park is located about a three-minute walk uphill from the hotel. While the distance itself is manageable, the walking path consists of loose stones without a proper pavement. At night, the area is very dark, and during rainy weather, it can become slippery and potentially hazardous, particularly for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. Additional lighting and a paved walkway would greatly improve both safety and accessibility. Lastly, although breakfast was enjoyable, we found the selection somewhat limited compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Furano. For example, during our previous stay at La Vista Furano, the breakfast offered a wider variety of Japanese specialties, including fresh sashimi and Furano melon, as well as complimentary late-night soba, which created a more memorable dining experience. At Furano Winery Hitohana, the breakfast leaned more towards Western offerings. Expanding the selection of local Japanese dishes and regional specialties would further enhance the overall guest experience. Despite these suggestions, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend Furano Winery Hitohana Hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, spacious and comfortable accommodation in Furano. The generous complimentary amenities, excellent service and thoughtful hospitality made our stay truly memorable. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit such an enjoyable one.

staffs r really good, friendly and sincere but the smell in the floor different with lobby and that smells old. lack of maintenance with broken walls like that for a deluxe room is hard to accept even though the room size is good and big enough to open 3 large suitcases. amenities r made in China not Japan make me really disappointed with the amount I paid.

房間超大，有室內浸浴，景觀一流，設施齊備，若住Executive Suit,可以免費享用lounge 內小食和飲品，酒也是無限飲用。自助餐食物美味，款式多。娛樂設施有驚喜，有乒乓球打，有夾公仔機，可以打機，是迷利版的Gigo。商店購物種類多，有好小朋友玩具賣。露天風呂看到雪山景，體驗到一邊浸温泉，一邊大風雪吹在面上。就算不是露天，室內的風呂也有好美的雪山景觀看。有穿梭巴士送到札幌，非常好。雖然房價不便宜，但物有所值。

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Goryokaku tram station. There are convenience stores, a Loft, and Starbucks nearby. It's also not far from Goryokaku Tower, where you can find Lucky Pierrot burgers and Shunka Sushi. A slightly longer walk will take you to Rokkatei for some delicious pastries. I arrived early and the staff kindly stored my luggage for me. They even provided pajamas, which was a lovely touch! 🥰

This is my second time staying at this hotel. It's located on the international side of the airport, which makes it incredibly convenient for catching a flight the next day, especially if you're staying your last night there. The hotel is also very comfortable and upscale. The outdoor facilities at the hotel's hot spring are excellent, and the rooms are spacious and fully equipped with smart home technology. The lighting is also great. Highly recommend!

Despite the bustling atmosphere and classic, dark decor, the private onsen and dining experience make this a standout choice in the area. Hightlights: The room: Spacious with beautiful wooden floors and a private outdoor onsen. Soaking in the heat while snow falls is pure magic. Features like the ”His&Her” sinks and an in-room massage chair make our stay more comfortable. All complimentary in the room adds a thoughful touch. Dining: The buffet offers and impressive variety of local dishes alongside beautifully plated mains. Even when busy, the staff sustematically managed the seating, ensuring we enjoyed the stunning winter views comfortably. The Hokkaido cheese pizza and dessert are absolute must-tries. Location and Service: Perfectly situated in the heart of the sightseeing district, with famous sweet shop right nearby. The complimentary valet parking and polight, perfessional staff made our stay seamless. Observations: Atmosphere: The common areas can feel a bit crowded due to its popularity. Design: The room interiors are a bit outdated and lean toward very dark tones, and notably, Netflix is not available on the in-room TV. Note: Windows are fixed; ventilation is managed via the onsen balcony door. Verdict: Highly recommended for foodies and onsen lovers who want to be the center of the action.
