The food is also superb, offering a satisfying feast of Ise lobster, wagyu beef, and giant abalone. The ryokan also boasts public hot springs, a bowling alley, karaoke, and an arcade. Next time, I'll definitely stay for at least two extra nights!"

"The hotel is located on a mountain with beautiful scenery. However, the facilities are spread out across different areas of the mountain. In particular, the restaurants are mostly located downhill, and guests need to walk long distances using stairs or escalators. This layout is not very suitable for elderly guests or families with young children. The male staff member who handled our check-in was clearly unprofessional. He was unable to answer basic questions or properly introduce the hotel facilities. Our booking included both breakfast and dinner, but when we asked which restaurant we should go to for meals, he simply told us to make a reservation online. When we explained that we were unable to do so and asked for his assistance, it turned out that he did not know how to use the system himself. He also did not seek help from his colleagues, resulting in a long delay. Eventually, he told us that only one restaurant accepted walk-in guests. After making our way down to that restaurant, the staff there informed us that dinner was not included at that location. Fortunately, the restaurant staff helped us by making a phone call and discovered that the hotel had already arranged our dinner reservation at a specific restaurant in advance. This made us question whether the check-in staff had provided incorrect or careless information. The breakfast arrangements were also very disappointing. The breakfast menu listed around ten options, but almost all of the Japanese-style breakfast slots were already fully booked. We had checked in at around 5:00 p.m., which made this situation even more unreasonable. Afterward, we noticed similar complaints in other reviews regarding the hotel’s poor dining arrangements. The bathing area was visually appealing, but the amenities were very limited. There was no water dispenser, facial cleansing products, or skincare items provided—only a hair dryer. In summary, the hotel’s hardware and design are quite good and tasteful, but the service quality and overall management are extremely poor."

"I chose this hotel because the room rates were reasonable, it's close to the station, has a public bath, and includes a breakfast plan. The room was clean, and since I stayed for multiple nights, I only requested a change of towels and bath towels. The staff's greetings, polite language, and kind attitude made for a very pleasant stay. The amenities were plentiful, and I appreciated the complimentary ice pops and coffee. Although the bath wasn't natural hot springs, it was clean, and after bathing, my body didn't get cold, and my fatigue was relieved. I also used the self-service laundry as I had more stays elsewhere, and it was very clean and excellent. The Ise udon for breakfast was delicious, prepared proactively by the staff. I definitely want to come back here again for my next visit to Ise."

"Although it's newly renovated and clean, the air freshener sprayed in the hallway was so strong it was toxic. I had to cover my nose every time I walked through. The buffet offered a variety of dishes to enjoy. There was plenty of seafood, but the quality was rather low. The cakes tasted very much like frozen cakes, and I wish there were more varieties of fruit. The staff who spoke excellent Japanese were very friendly and pleasant! The guy at the front desk needs to try harder. The amenities were plentiful, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the welcome tea."

"I love the worldview of Minapelhonen, so by chance I was excited to be in everyone's room! The interior of the room is Mina's world. However, I was disappointed that the mug was dirty. One of the highlights was definitely the Pearl Aurora Onsen, which was incredibly relaxing and left my skin feeling amazingly smooth. The complimentary welcome tea and cheesecake, along with the evening marshmallow roasting by the lobby, were thoughtful touches that made the stay feel extra special. Both dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations. Every course was beautifully presented, featuring fresh local ingredients and refined flavours that made each meal feel like a special occasion. Dining in a peaceful, private setting made the experience even more memorable. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle service from Toba Station, making it easy to reach despite its tranquil location. Overall, Shiojitei perfectly balances traditional Japanese hospitality, excellent cuisine, and a relaxing atmosphere. It was one of the most memorable stays of my trip, and I would gladly return on my next visit to the Ise-Shima region."

"The food was very delicious. Arrived after noon on the first day. Take the hotel transfer bus to the hotel. It was time I couldn't check in, so I left my luggage and took the ropeway to Mt. Gozaisho. We enjoyed a very nice mountain view. Check in after a short walk around the hotel. Slowly soak in the hot spring and eat. It was very delicious. The next day was unfortunate weather, but I was really relaxed."
