"Five-star rating, highly recommend! The hotel's location is excellent, the environment is very clean, and it's quite new. It offers fantastic value for money. Getting around is super convenient, whether you're taking a taxi or exploring the surrounding area, it's completely hassle-free. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, providing thorough and thoughtful service throughout our stay. Any requests were met promptly. Our check-in experience was incredibly comfortable, and I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip!"

"I contacted customer service in advance, and they were always responsive. For our celebration, they even provided some simple decorations, which was a pleasant surprise when we checked in! Our flight was delayed, and although the official check-in time was before 24:00, we were still able to check in smoothly more than half an hour late that day (we hadn't anticipated the delay would be that long). The room view was really good (it's a pity we didn't stay in the room until evening, otherwise, watching the sunset would have been great!). There's also an outdoor viewing area on the 6th floor, but we didn't stay long enough for its operating hours. The room size was decent, with just one chair, but it had a full kitchen with almost all utensils provided! The bathroom also had toiletries. The breakfast included in the room rate was a nice bonus. The best part was definitely the infinity pool! It was still cool and out of the sun at 8:00 AM. I stayed at both Citadines Waterfront and The Shore in Kota Kinabalu, and it turns out they're in the same building but with separate entrances (they are interconnected). The pool on the 6th floor is directly separated, which is pretty cool."

During the stay, i tried their in room dining, i order quite a number of menu so it takes quite some time, honestly just typical hotel food with no extraordinary taste, but the view from my room is priceless making dinner become more fun to enjoy.9/10 chance of coming back here."

"Overall, our stay was very good – actually, better than expected! We had a lovely balcony with a nice view. The pool itself was nice – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful. After we checked out, we accidentally left some clothes in the washing machine, and they kindly recovered them for us. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference! Downstairs, there are plenty of food options, so you’ll never go hungry. I’d definitely recommend this place for couples or small families looking for a comfortable, well-located base. Great value for money."

"Overall cleanliness was good. And the location is very strategic as it is located in one of KK's biggest malls. I don't know if I could recommend this hotel due to my experience of construction noises lasting from 10pm to 12am (and it went over 12am where I had to ask the staff to check on it). I understand this may be a one-off incident but the lack of understanding from the staff is what truly puts me off. Even though the noise was coming from the mall, it does directly affect your customers and thus it is a problem that the hotel has to address. I called to complain twice, got no updates after the first and had to face a very dismissive receptionist in the second. The hotel should have taken more active measures and worked with the mall management. I don't think there's any excuse as to why construction has to happen AT NIGHT where your guests want to rest/sleep. Other than the mall, no other amenities."

"The location is fantastic. There's a huge mimosa tree right outside the window. Every night, the egrets wash themselves there and look like a bouquet of flowers from my room; in the morning, they slowly spread out. There's a night market directly across the street, making dining very convenient, and the sea views are also excellent. As for the room itself, it's pretty much a standard Aimei Hotel room. The front desk service was okay, and they spoke a bit of Chinese. The doorman opening doors and everything else was also good."

"It was a pleasant stay with a nice view. The house has a washing machine but there is no dryer. You can hang your clothes on the balcony as there is a drying area provided. For sensitive sleepers, it can be a bit noisy at night due to passing vehicles and motorcyles. But the host provides earplugs. The wifi connection is good and an iron with a small ironing board is also provided. The host is very responsive and easy to deal with. We would love to stay here again."

An incredible place that makes you want to return again and again! Waking up every morning to such a view is a true dream. The sunsets here are simply magical, and the sea is clean, warm, and inviting. Our villa wasn't new, but it had absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay. Special thanks to the administrator, who was always reachable and promptly helped resolve any household issues. This place gave us wonderful memories and a feeling of complete relaxation. If we get the chance, we will definitely come back here again!

The room interiors are nice, and the sea views and sunsets are absolutely stunning. However, there's barely any beach; it's mostly grassy areas with sea views and sunsets. The breakfast is quite perfunctory – only five or six types of meat, all chicken, with no beef or seafood. This definitely doesn't justify the 3,000-per-night room rate. The seascape is very beautiful. The Horizon lounge room is small and just average. Breakfast is not very good, only chicken, no seafood, it doesn't match the room charge.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, expect the toilet is sharing and it's very dirty!. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The location was perfect, and the view from my room was absolutely stunning — one of the highlights of my stay. Everything about this hotel felt high-quality, and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

I chose this hotel for a one-night stay before heading to the overwater bungalow the next day. Although the room facilities were a bit old, they were very clean. There's a convenience store right downstairs, and it's very close to the pier. The sea breeze was a bit loud at night, but the breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

I had a wonderful stay at this resort. The resort is very beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The staff were friendly and kind, and they even provided an extra bed for my kids, which made our stay more comfortable. The beachfront location is amazing and very convenient for kids to do snorkeling safely. I also love that there were no sandflies, so it felt safe and comfortable for my children. The breakfast was delicious with many good choices. The environment was calm, quiet, and not noisy at all perfect for relaxing and also very suitable for honeymoon couples. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come again.

All good! We chose a room with plenty of single beds. There were 5 beds, haha, perfect for families, friends, or even a honeymoon. The room was really spacious too. Just a heads-up about the water heater, you can't adjust the temperature; the water gets super hot! You have to mix in cold water to get it lukewarm. Overall, it was great. There's a kettle and a water dispenser right outside the room door. And the views? Right at Mount Kinabalu itself!

The hygiene was good, I didn't find any obvious issues. It's really convenient for getting around. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a shame the facilities are a bit old. If you're not too picky, it's a good option to consider. The view from outside is quite nice.

We stayed in the Ocean Wing. The room was very spacious, but the facilities were a bit old. The plunge pool on the balcony was large, but a bit dirty. Both the swimming pool and the beach were great. The restaurants require advance reservations, which felt a bit like a 'scarcity marketing' tactic. The Italian restaurant wasn't good and the environment wasn't clean. Breakfast was just average, and so was the service. In contrast, the Japanese teppanyaki was excellent, with warm service and good food. The free airport shuttle was a nice touch, but it only runs twice a day, in the morning and evening. The front desk service was very enthusiastic, and they even gave us a local specialty necklace and welcome drinks. Overall, it's a good place for a vacation.

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful. After we checked out, we accidentally left some clothes in the washing machine, and they kindly recovered them for us. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference! Downstairs, there are plenty of food options, so you’ll never go hungry. I’d definitely recommend this place for couples or small families looking for a comfortable, well-located base. Great value for money.
