This Japanese hotel really exceeded my expectations! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, a ten-minute walk to the subway station. There are tons of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, making both getting around and daily life super convenient. The biggest surprise was the room space; compared to the generally small rooms in Japanese hotels, this one was genuinely spacious. I had no problem spreading out my luggage, and the natural light and ventilation were excellent. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, making for a very pleasant stay. It's great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I visit!
The view from our room was insane, overlooking the lake. The room was a bit outdated but it served us well for our trip, though the bed was quite firm and springy.
The service was amazing, location was great for us as we had a car and the parking lot was a very short walk away.
The only downside is how overwhelming the buffet smells are but the selection is plentiful.
The hotel room is considered large in Japan. We were 3 people and the hotel provided us with a separate sofa bed. There are also many food stalls near the hotel, which is very convenient. It is 3 subway stations away from Sapporo Station. Convenient transportation.
The hotel is next to the Hell Valley and the welcoming is pleasant. I chose the Japanese style room at East Wing which is close to the front desk and near to restaurant. Room is ok for 3 people to stay and bathroom is separated which I like it. No sulphur smell at all. I chose the buffet dinner and that’s the best buffet I ever had. Food is good and they serve the snow crabs generously. Breakfast is good too with lots of varieties. I would recommend to friends who wanted to have a relaxation day though the room rate is premium.
This is a historic Japanese onsen hotel. The hot spring water quality is genuinely good, attracting many Japanese families and couples. There are also quite a few Korean families and Western tourists. However, the overall facilities are a bit old, and the flow within the onsen area is quite complex. There aren't many pools, but they are spread across multiple floors with lots of stairs. Walking around like that **in that condition** felt a bit awkward and cold. The open-air onsen on the 16th floor is shared by men and women at different times, so if all family members want to enjoy it, one day definitely isn't enough (see the last picture for the onsen schedule). The 'water world' is fun and great for kids, and soaking in the hot spring after playing there is very relaxing. The dining is just okay, nothing special, as they mainly cater to group tours.
P.S. The scenery in Jozankei is worth exploring, and the nearby ski resort is worth a visit (the kind for playing in the snow). The kids had a blast.

This is arguably the best hotel in all of Hokkaido. The room types, size, dining, and service are all excellent. A major plus is that Nakajima-koen subway station is directly across the street, making it incredibly convenient to get to key attractions like Susukino, Odori Park, and Shiroi Koibito Park.
First time to live in love hotel in Japan, clean and tidy, room filled with cigarette smell, might not suit for people who hates the smell. Location is good with free carparking.
I had to go to a conference, but I wanted to make some fun memories for my kids, so I stayed here with them, as it has a pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Two of the water slides were closed, so it seems they're only open every day on weekends this month. Even without them, we were able to play in the pool until 9:00 PM and then relax in the hot springs.
This hotel is nestled high in the mountains, between Lake Toya and the Sea of Japan. The view from the window is absolutely stunning. They offer a shuttle service from the train station, and there's also a stop for Lake Toya. The Japanese breakfast was incredibly refined and delicious. Unfortunately, my stay was too short, and I didn't get a chance to explore Lake Toya. I'll definitely be back for another two nights!

Amazing
TTaidijunThis was my second stay at the Park Hyatt Niseko, and it seems the front desk staff was new this time. They made several mistakes, like sending us to the wrong building and getting our room direction wrong – quite unprofessional. On our third day, breakfast at the Chinese restaurant was poorly arranged; we were seated right next to the cart for collecting dirty dishes, which completely ruined our appetite. Otherwise, it was as excellent as ever! The housekeeping ladies were exceptionally good. After a day out, we returned to find our beloved teddy bear neatly placed on the pillow with a blanket over it – so thoughtful! And the teppanyaki was delicious as always!

CCatherine Lee SYRusutsu Resort is an excellent choice for families, especially those traveling with children. The resort offers a wide variety of facilities all in one place, making it very convenient and stress-free for family trips. There are indoor and outdoor activities, play areas, ski facilities, and entertainment options suitable for both kids and adults, so everyone can find something to enjoy.
One of the biggest advantages is the location. The resort is very close to a convenience store, which is extremely helpful for families — whether you need snacks, drinks, daily essentials, or quick meals, everything is within easy reach.
There are also many restaurants inside the resort, offering different types of cuisine. However, it’s important to note that several popular restaurants require advance reservations, especially during peak seasons. Planning ahead is highly recommended to avoid long waits or limited dining options.
Overall, Rusutsu Resort is very family-friendly, well-organized, and convenient. With its wide range of facilities, nearby convenience store, and diverse dining choices, it’s a great destination for a comfortable and enjoyable family holiday — just remember to book restaurants early.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is built on a mountain, and trying to walk around was quite tiring.
The room was spacious, but housekeeping doesn't come daily. Currently, all of Japan is embracing eco-friendliness, so most hotels only clean every two nights, and some even every three nights.
Those who sign up for tours or activities will be picked up directly at the hotel. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the Utoro Bus Center. If you miss the shuttle, I believe the hotel can also arrange a drop-off.
The buffet was extensive, but eating the same things every day got a bit boring. Personally, I still prefer set meals.
I tasted something sour in the chawanmushi. At first, I thought my taste buds were off, but after smelling it, I confirmed it was indeed sour and informed the staff.
The public bath has several pools. The open-air hot spring bath is a bit small, but it wasn't crowded.
XXiaoma12The hotel is only about 200 meters from Shirahige Waterfall, which is absolutely stunning – no picture can truly capture its majesty. In the evening, there's a shuttle service to Shirogane Blue Pond for a light show. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly. There was a mix-up with the pick-up service, or perhaps a misunderstanding on my part, so I missed the shuttle and had to take a taxi for 40km. I wasn't used to the bedding; it had a strange bed cover, which made it difficult to sleep.
GGuest UserThe property was easy to find and has a spacious parking lot.
The rooms and bathrooms are very clean.
The property provide hot bath soak (onsen pool) for complimentary use. This is especially good for us who need a good bath and wake up at 4am the next day for the trip to Unkai Terrace.
Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Owners were very helpful and thoughtful.
All information were given to us on the day of the check in.
GGuest UserVery pleased with our stay at Greenpia, and happy there were quite a few improvements since last year:
- upgrade to the outdoor onsen, which is much better than before. Love the addition of the TV
- onsen kits inside closet
- more room selections such as the Max, cabins and glamping
- the conversion into the comic reading space
