"Our family had such a wonderful stay at Funny Lion! From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel so welcome, comfortable, and completely stress-free throughout our visit. The warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail truly made this a memorable experience for all of us. A very special thank you to the General Manager for leading such an outstanding team, and to Janine for being extra patient, kind, and incredibly helpful during our stay. She truly went above and beyond to make sure my questions and requests were attended to. Huge thanks as well to all the rest of the staff members who were consistently friendly abd attentive in every way. We also really enjoyed the food at Hunt Restaurant — definitely on the pricier side, but the quality and taste made it worth it. We originally wanted to dine at C75 as well, but it was fully booked, so I highly recommend making reservations in advance. The buffet breakfast was also very good, although the spread was a little limited. The pool was very well maintained, and we appreciated that water activities like kayaking were included free of charge. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to visit the resort sandbar due to unexpected boat issues. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, with lovely little touches like fresh fruit juice and daily snacks that made the stay feel extra special. Overall, it was such a warm, relaxing, and enjoyable family getaway. Thank you, Funny Lion, for the amazing hospitality — we can’t wait to come back!"

"Hotel was nice, the staff were very friendly and helpful, but a few portions of the resort are under renovation. The main pool needs repair. Other than that, we had a very good experience."

"Affordable and quality hotel! We stayed in a Pool Access Queen Room, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They also gave us a complimentary 2-hour extended stay since our free airport transfer was scheduled 4 hours after our original check-out time. The staff were approachable and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel! 👌🏻"

"This hotel is situated slightly back from the beach bars which are only a few minutes stroll away. Its on a busy road and traffic noise can be heard from the apartments that face the road, ear plugs are provided both traffic did die down late evening.  The rooms are spacious and clean with air-conditioning, they do not have an elevator but bags were taken up by the porters who gave a great service. The staff are very helpful and polite, go that extra step to help you, they have a nice bar and good seating area with some seating along side the swimming pool. Break fast was good with plenty of choice with Ann egg station to where you could order your desired omelet. Wifi was also qood with plenty of plugs down stairs in the lounge. The beds were comfy but made a clattering noise when changing sleeping position, its only my opinion but to me the pillows were too large, would preferred slimmer pillows. I would recommend this hotel if your going to stay in El Nido, great location not near any boom boom bars the are alive till the early morning, what our stay at this hotel special was the staff that made our stay most welcome and all being on first name terms."

"We booked a night in the Lila villa and it was exceptional! One of the most comfortable stays in the Philippines. The bed was amazing, the shower was awesome and for once the little fridge was stacked with goodies. The staff was so kind and sweet. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it for the extra buck or two."

"I was incredibly lucky with this hotel room booking. I stumbled upon it on Trip.com while zooming in on the map showing different hotels and their prices. Originally, the room was around 1600 rubles, but with my discount and bonus points, the final booking price came down to 614 rubles. Meanwhile, other hotels were charging around 1500 rubles for rooms that were only 8 square meters. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the airport and a 22-minute walk from the promenade (pier), though there's no beach here. There are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, markets, and a McDonald's nearby. I specifically chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport and a large shopping center (a 10-minute walk from the hotel) to exchange pesos for dollars. Unfortunately, you can only exchange for dollars at the airport; shopping centers and currency exchange booths only convert dollars to pesos. I couldn't find any exchange offices in El Nido and didn't have time to visit banks. On Coron Island (where the exchange rates were very favorable, and I exchanged a lot) and Cebu Island, they're everywhere. The room was clean and spacious, with fresh linen. It came with toiletries (shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel, body conditioner, liquid soap, toothpaste and brush, cotton swabs, comb), a kettle, water, and hangers. The water pressure in the shower was decent (not strong), and the drainage was good. No insects running around in the room. The towel was good; it absorbed all the water from my hair effectively (I once had a bad experience in another hotel where the towel didn't absorb water from my hair at all and barely dried my body). The air conditioning was quiet, cooled well, and had many settings. There were two mirrors, which was very convenient as I didn't have to rush to the bathroom mirror. The staff was friendly. I arrived at 11 AM, and check-in was supposed to be after 2 PM. They told me the room wasn't ready yet but that they would check me in before 2 PM once it was. While I waited in the hotel lobby, cooling off, they had me checked into this lovely room within an hour. There was a beautiful sunset by the promenade, but I left early because it started raining, and then a rainbow appeared."

"There were two adults and two kids in our group, and we were hauling two huge suitcases, a big backpack, and a stroller. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle, and being able to coordinate that with them right after booking gave us peace of mind. The moment we pulled up to the hotel, the staff ran out to help carry our bags upstairs before we even had to ask. Seeing that kind of efficiency and initiative in a beach destination is a huge plus. They have water dispensers on every floor, which is so convenient and eco-friendly for when the kids suddenly get thirsty. They also provide free coffee packets in the room, which is a total lifesaver for getting me through the first ten minutes every morning. The pier and restaurants are just a few steps away, so we saved so much time not having to drag the kids around on transport. The kids are already begging to go back to El Nido."

"A 4-star hotel on paper; a fairly new hotel, but the upkeep leaves a lot to be desired. No supervision at the pools. A foul smell by the pool; the cleanliness of the pools needs reviewing. The air conditioning unit in the room dates from the 1960s, makes a very loud noise and, when in use, gives off a musty smell. The bathroom is not clean around the shower. Breakfast. There is a choice, but the quality is average."
