♥️ One of the best hotels in the Yangshuo area! During this trip, we stayed at four different hotels in Yangshuo and the surrounding area, so we definitely have something to compare it with. And I can honestly say that this was one of the best hotels of our entire trip! The hotel is not located in the town itself, but in the incredibly beautiful countryside surrounding Yangshuo, right among the famous karst mountains. In my opinion, this is exactly where you should stay if you are coming to this region for its spectacular nature and iconic scenery. The views are absolutely breathtaking! The karst mountains surround you almost 360 degrees. You open the curtains in the morning and the scenery in front of you is simply unforgettable. Having stayed in four different places in this area, we can genuinely compare, and these were some of the most beautiful views we experienced during our entire trip. The hotel itself is completely new, and you can feel it in every detail. The rooms are huge, modern and extremely spacious. Everything is new, spotless and of excellent quality. I especially want to mention the wonderful bed linen, beautiful high-quality towels and the overall quality of everything in the room. It is a genuinely comfortable and pleasant place to stay. A very special thank you to the staff. The service was exceptional. Everyone treated us with incredible warmth, attention and genuine care. They would even message us on WeChat in the morning to ask if we were awake and invite us to come for breakfast. ♥️ Small gestures like this make you feel truly welcome and cared for. Another highlight is the swimming pool with an incredible panoramic view of the karst mountains. It is probably one of the best places for photos. Swimming while surrounded by this extraordinary landscape is a very special experience. Upstairs there is also a beautiful café with panoramic views and lovely photo spots. The hotel grounds themselves have many beautifully designed areas for taking pictures. If you love photography and want to take some truly spectacular photos during your trip, you will absolutely love this place. The location is also very convenient for exploring the surrounding countryside. You can rent a scooter directly from the hotel and easily visit many of the beautiful natural attractions nearby. Riding through the countryside surrounded by the karst mountains becomes an experience in itself. But above all, what made our stay truly special was the people who work here. We are sincerely grateful to the entire team for their hospitality, kindness, help and the genuinely warm way they treated us throughout our stay. We will definitely come back. ♥️ We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yangshuo, especially if you are coming to experience its famous natural scenery. This hotel is located right in the heart of the scenic area, offering fantastic views and superb convenience. You can easily walk to several city attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Pagodas. The staff are very friendly and communicative, coordinating everything beforehand, and there's parking available, making check-in a breeze. The 'influencer-worthy' pool is great for photos. What really stood out to me was the seasonal ”pearl plums” at the front desk – so crispy and sweet!! And surprisingly, the Guilin rice noodles at breakfast were the best I had during my entire three-day trip to Guilin…! There are no major downsides; it offers great value for money. Highly recommend staying here!

If you are still looking for a hotel in Guilin, you can stop searching I rarely write such detailed reviews but this place really deserves it Everything here is amazing - from the location to the service. Every little detail is carefully thought out to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and stress-free The staff impressed me the most. They notice small details and truly care about guests. At first, I was surprised that even staff members I had never met before already knew my room number. It was a little funny and unexpected 😄 But like this you understand the high level of the service Everyone was so kind to me and always ready to help 🥺 Even if someone doesn’t speak English, they quickly use a translator and do their best to solve any problem The room is beautiful and very comfortable. The bed and pillows are probably one of my favorite parts of the stay - I honestly did not want to leave them! The room has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including nice Chinese tea, coffee, and many small details that make you feel at home like bath salt. Another very useful detail for travelers is the free self-service laundry. When you travel for a longer time, having a place where you can easily wash your clothes is a huge advantage The breakfast was also a wonderful surprise. While traveling around China, I often found that hotel breakfasts were mostly focused on Chinese food, which can sometimes be difficult for international travelers. Here, there is also a great Western breakfast with enough choices Another amazing part is the number of complimentary experiences included in the stay. Fresh fruits every day, afternoon drinks with desserts, cultural activities, and more. Sometimes there are so many things to enjoy that you don’t even want to leave the hotel😅 I especially loved the Chinese calligraphy experience. Writing calligraphy while two lovely parrots sometimes came to sit on my shoulder felt like a real journey into traditional Chinese culture. You can also create small handmade souvenirs, which makes the experience even more memorable The location is perfect, with incredible mountain views all around. And one small detail that I really appreciated: the panoramic windows are always perfectly clean. In many hotels, beautiful views are ruined by dirty windows, but here you can fully enjoy the scenery P.S.: just one small suggestion it would be great to have a “Do not disturb” sign. Some guests may want to have some private time and make sure that nobody enters the room

The indoor afternoon tea area has an amazing ambiance; every photo taken there is a masterpiece 📷✨. The hotel also features a kids' playground 🎠 and an outdoor pool 🏊, making it easy to keep the little ones entertained. The rooms are clean and tidy with excellent attention to detail 🏠. The breakfast buffet offers great quality, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles taste superb 🍜. A good breakfast sets you up perfectly for the day ahead. Located by the Li River, with smooth access to the underground parking. It's also very close to the commercial district, making dining and getting around super convenient. Again, the rooms are clean and tidy with great attention to detail. The breakfast buffet is high quality, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles are truly delicious.

Yangshuo Sugarhouse has always been a hotel I've wanted to visit, and a serendipitous opportunity finally brought me here, marking my first trip to Yangshuo. True to its pictures, it's exactly as you've seen it. Admittedly, it's no longer a new hotel, and I had some reservations beforehand, as similar-priced hotels in the same category might offer larger, more luxurious options. However, for design enthusiasts, Sugarhouse is special; it's a destination in itself. My first impression was that the hotel is reasonably well-maintained, and the service is always pleasant and attentive. I always assumed these were standard expectations in such hotels, not worth mentioning. Yet, it wasn't until I truly experienced the various facets of Yangshuo that I realized Sugarhouse is an oasis in this bustling, chaotic, and often less-than-pleasant destination. Yangshuo is beautiful, but its natural charm isn't always enough to offset some disappointing tourist experiences. You might exert a lot of effort trying to soak in the legendary landscapes, only to be left unsatisfied, perhaps due to early mornings or overwhelming crowds. But at Sugarhouse, you can intimately connect with Yangshuo's mountains and rivers, as they are right outside your room, beyond the iconic pool view. During the day, you can fully immerse yourself in nature undisturbed, and as dusk falls, the lights of Impression Liu Sanjie illuminate them, making you a part of the landscape. Finding such tranquility in this destination is incredibly precious, a realization I only had after switching to other hotels. The service here carries a hint of genuine, endearing awkwardness, and you can sense that achieving this level of service isn't easy. The bartender at 1969 Bar recommended a special concoction when I was indecisive, allowing me to savor the last season's season of loquat gin, which was unforgettable. Lucy at the front desk was incredibly helpful in resolving my issues, and when I pointed out some minor flaws in the room, they were already being addressed – truly tiny details that not everyone would notice, demonstrating their genuine care for guests. I met a gentleman at breakfast who enthusiastically and meticulously introduced me to oil tea and proactively helped me carry it to my upstairs seat when my hands were full. On my departure day, I even saw him standing at the lobby entrance at 36 degrees Celsius, assisting guests. Later, I learned he was the hotel's general manager. The people here are sincere and responsible, and what initially felt like minor imperfections transformed into a stark difference after comparison. I can give the experience here full marks. Some friends might find it too boring, with too many cars on the highway outside the rooms. But if you've experienced the endless swarm of electric scooters, the ubiquitous paid parking lots, and the so-called villas that cost 3,000 yuan with no view whatsoever, you'll realize that not only is the pricing here quite fair, but it's also almost the only viable accommodation option in Yangshuo. Of course, this is just for reference if you don't plan on venturing out, but Sugarhouse still offers many interesting services that make it a highly recommendable choice.

Extremely satisfied with my stay! The high-floor views are great, but I really want to highlight the hotel's WeChat concierge service. Our concierge proactively added me on WeChat upon check-in, and all our requests during the stay were handled incredibly promptly and efficiently. Whether it was inquiring about laundry service or needing items for our room, everything was resolved immediately. The service attitude was both warm and professional. A special thanks to the concierge for coordinating a late check-out for us on our departure day! Overall, the hardware is up to the usual 'Luxury Collection' standard, but it's this thoughtful, personalized soft service that truly elevated the entire experience. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Nanning.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the subway, making it easy to walk to MixC and Shengtiandi for shopping and dining. It's incredibly convenient whether you're traveling for business or sightseeing. As soon as you step in, the lobby design is upscale and grand, with a signature spiral staircase that creates an amazing ambiance – perfect for snapping some fantastic photos. The overall decor is chic and luxurious, with a quality feel. Jeven at the front desk was both gentle and professional. He quickly verified our information and efficiently completed the check-in process. Knowing it was my first time in Nanning, he thoughtfully recommended authentic local snacks and tourist routes. He also proactively asked about our needs and arranged a high-floor room with a great view for us. Any questions we had, he answered patiently and thoroughly, always with a kind smile. His service was perfectly balanced and truly reflective of InterContinental's professional standards. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nanning for tourism or business!

The garden is huge, with six peacocks roaming freely and casually, not shying away from people. The aunt responsible for feeding the peacocks was warm and friendly, proactively sharing interesting facts about them and patiently answering the children's questions. She even gave us some naturally shed peacock feathers, which made the kids incredibly happy. Osmanthus Fragrans is even more worthwhile with people like you!

The room was spacious and the location was super convenient. It's really close to Ten-Mile Gallery and Guilin Romance Park. Plus, it's right by West Street but surprisingly quiet. You can easily rent an electric scooter to explore all of Yangshuo! Oh, and the plums at the hotel were delicious 😋. The front desk staff, both the guys and the girls, were incredibly helpful and friendly, giving great recommendations for sightseeing routes. Yangshuo's scenery is just breathtaking!

The hotel is located right by Rong Lake, near the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, which is very quiet. In the mornings, you can hear birds chirping from the park. It's a 15-minute walk to the free Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area, and a 7-minute walk to see the Sun and Moon Pagodas at night, where you can also take a cruise. This location pretty much covers all the attractions in Guilin city. All the hotel staff were lovely, and I especially want to thank a female staff member or supervisor at the front desk – I'm not entirely sure which she was. It had been raining for days, and after checking out, we canceled our train to Yangshuo, fearing flooding and that we wouldn't be able to enjoy ourselves there. She told us that since we had traveled so far, we should still go and see it, as the scenery is beautiful and it doesn't rain constantly; we wouldn't know until we got there. So, we re-bought our tickets and went. She even helped us make a waterproof cover for our child's camera, which was incredibly thoughtful. When we got there, we found it hadn't rained for the past two days, and we were able to enjoy bamboo rafting and everything. The scenery truly was breathtaking, and it was definitely worth the trip! Coming all the way from Beijing, it certainly made our long journey worthwhile. We came here in a hurry this time and didn't plan anything, relying entirely on the information and advice from the front desk concierge. Their explanations made everything so much clearer. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next trip.
