"Kusatsu itself is a magnificent place. The hotel is located right in the center. The room type was traditional with futons, and we had a mountain view, which was stunning in the morning. The hotel is well-maintained. We absolutely loved the onsen at the hotel – it was incredibly enjoyable! It was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. I particularly want to highlight the breakfasts and dinners; the selection was absolutely superb. Highly recommended!"

"For your information: we stayed at the hotel right after it reopened in June. Some things were certainly not quite finished yet, so they might have changed. Check-in via tablets was relatively quick, provided we had registered online beforehand. There is a reception desk, but unfortunately, the staff usually hides behind a curtain. Their English was basic. The rooms themselves were pleasant, and the spaciousness was a particular highlight. Everything was very clean. The amenities, including a smart TV, toothbrush, and shampoo, were also excellent. The only slight drawback was the small bathroom, which, compared to the room, was quite small and dated (but still clean). We didn't find the Japanese breakfast very appealing, as we didn't particularly like the taste. Aside from that, the selection was very limited; it was basically just what was shown in the picture, which was disappointing. The onsen experience at the hotel was also very interesting. The women's and men's onsen each had a simple indoor and outdoor pool, both of which were very nice. There's a small chill-out area with a free drinks machine. There's also a sauna, which unfortunately is only open to women in the mornings and was connected to the men's onsen in the afternoons. In conclusion: Overall, it was a pleasant hotel stay, especially if you spend a lot of time in your room and enjoy onsen. However, the breakfast and the sharing aspect of the service were somewhat lacking. We got it for €33 per night, which made it good value for money."

"A pretty decent Onsen. Just that the staff couldn’t speak much English and we had a hard time trying to understand the dinner flow. And the amenities at the onsen bath are quite limited."

"The rooms are very traditional, with an antique feel, and the courtyard is beautiful. The snow views and sunshine made me very happy. The hotel has three private onsen baths and two public ones, all of which are excellent. The private onsen in the room allows for a more relaxed experience. Everyone's service was also great and very polite. After soaking, I felt completely relaxed 😌"

"Due to my own mistake, I booked a smoking room, but they were able to change my reservation (from 3 nights to 1 night) and to a non-smoking room that was available on the day, which was very helpful (I have asthma). The facilities and service in the hotel were also impeccable, and I even enjoyed free ice cream after using the large public bath and a complimentary Yakult drink in the morning bath. This is a wonderful hotel that I would recommend to everyone."

"I stayed for one night with breakfast included. There were plenty of hot springs to enjoy, and the breakfast was excellent. I would like to stay here again when I come to Minakami."

"It should be regarded as the best hotel in Yixiangbao. It has a history of more than 400 years, but it does not feel old. Several soups are great. The service staff are professional and thoughtful. The small robot in the lobby is super cute. There is a small restaurant on the 19th floor to the entrance and exit of the stone steps, three private rooms, open at 8-11 every night, fried dumplings and ramen are delicious. The people in this place are friendly and hospitable. Udon noodles are local specialties, and each one is delicious; the ancestral stone pot curry rice of the Black Boat House is particularly delicious; Sara's Terrace Arraiya 's package is very homely; Lungo's own roasted coffee is the best to drink, with a bunch of rice cakes is too fragrant! The matcha shop next to the ladder is already very popular, but the clerk is so enthusiastic. When I fell down, I immediately took the first aid kit and ran out to deal with the wound. I was moved! The nearby original gallery is also worth a visit, in a pasture with lots of sheep."

"The hotel is not far from the station, about a five-minute drive away. Near the hotel is Tianyi Art Museum whose owner is an artist of traditional Shakuhachi musical instruments. The decoration and details of the hotel are very artistic. Inadvertently found a hotel with a local traditional culture atmosphere. You need to make an appointment if you have a private soup, and you can see the outdoor scenery. Public soups for men and women are separated and served 24 hours a day. The breakfast is delicious and authentic with local specialties. The dinner will provide musical instrument performance and experience. Interesting."

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm smile. The location is perfect—quiet yet close to attractions and restaurants. The food was fresh and delicious with a great variety. I had a comfortable and memorable stay and will definitely return on my next visit. Highly recommended"
