Stayed at Comfort Hotel Maebashi for a short trip. The room was warm and cozy, though a bit small — similar to most hotels in Japan. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the toilet felt more spacious compared to other hotels. Overall, a comfortable stay with everything you need. Would definitely consider staying here again!

If you're a foreigner, a translation tool is essential because the staff don't speak English, or their accent was hard for us to understand. When we couldn't communicate, they seemed annoyed (90% of the staff didn't smile at us). There was an older staff member who was friendly, especially the one handling ski activity bookings. 🤬🤬 Absolutely terrible. The food was mediocre, not much variety or taste. The room was clean, and the onsen bathroom with amenities was excellent. In summary, due to poor communication and the staff's lack of enthusiasm in recommending snow activities, my trip ended in tears 😭😭. I had planned to do many snow activities, but instead, I just walked around, built snowmen, and rolled in the snow. I won't be coming back here next trip. I'll look for a hotel that's more welcoming to Thais.

Due to my own mistake, I booked a smoking room, but they were able to change my reservation (from 3 nights to 1 night) and to a non-smoking room that was available on the day, which was very helpful (I have asthma). The facilities and service in the hotel were also impeccable, and I even enjoyed free ice cream after using the large public bath and a complimentary Yakult drink in the morning bath. This is a wonderful hotel that I would recommend to everyone.

We sang karaoke with the family and relaxed in the bath. Above all, the room had a great view of Mt. Tanigawa and was very calming. I also stayed here at the end of the year. I loved the open-air crystal bath (a big, rustic barrel bath). There was a river flowing right next to it, and it felt like we were in the mountains, so it was a very charming and comfortable time. The Dormy Inn brand is guaranteed. With a room rate of less than $500, you can enjoy a bath, soba noodles and popsicles in the evening, and the room is also large, with enough space for three large suitcases. It is very worthwhile.

I booked the highly-rated Bouun Ryokan three months in advance, supposedly in business for 462 years! The interior decor and tatami rooms were surprisingly new. The room service, the dining environment for dinner, and the exquisite Kaiseki cuisine were all incredibly impressive. We stayed for two nights, with breakfast and dinner included. The hotel uses only the finest Japanese ingredients, and not a single dish or dessert was repeated. I especially want to commend the Japanese gentleman who picked us up and dropped us off at the bus station, and the young lady who helped us with our luggage on check-in day, January 5th. Both were exceptionally thoughtful. However, I must criticize a young male receptionist at the front desk – fair-skinned, round-faced, and wearing glasses. He didn't seem Japanese and was very impatient with guests. A high-end hotel like this shouldn't have such staff; it really detracts from the experience! Nevertheless, this won't stop me from staying here again on my next visit to Kusatsu.

The hotel is clean and the service is very good! The environment is quiet and quiet, and it is a good place for vacation and leisure. There are enough parking spaces for parking, and it is best to drive in and out, because other traffic is not convenient. The breakfast food is diverse and delicious!

You can go directly to the hotel lobby from the east exit of Takasaki Station via the outdoor walkway on the second floor, and the hotel lobby, rooms, large communal bath on the 10th floor, and breakfast venue on the second floor are all very satisfying facilities. I had a very comfortable stay. I would definitely use it again.

All the staff were smiling and we had a pleasant time. The shabu-shabu buffet was delicious and all-you-can-eat, and my family was very satisfied. There were some cleaning issues that bothered me, but that's because I work in cleaning and I don't think the average person would notice. The view of Mt. Myogi from the window was beautiful, with different looks depending on the time of day and the weather.

The boss speaks fluent English. After chick-in, a bottle of milk will be given, and after chick-out, coffee will be given. Living here will bring back a lot of childhood memories. One disadvantage is that it is a bit far from Yubatake, and the second disadvantage is that the price is a bit expensive. The price we stayed at was 21,419 yen per night!
