"The hotel is located in a remote area, and the hot spring facilities are basic, with only a public open-air bath; there is no sauna or public indoor bath. The rooms were generally clean, but for such a remote location, the room size was not large."

"I visited this hotel based on a friend's recommendation, but I was sorely disappointed. There was absolutely no trace of the Japanese-style service I was expecting; it felt just like any other ordinary hotel. Both dinner and breakfast were terrible, and the light meal options were incredibly sparse. My friend mentioned that when it first opened two years ago, the service was excellent. I'm not sure if they started taking tour groups, but it was very crowded, and the soundproofing in the rooms was poor. I had to call the front desk twice in the middle of the night because of noisy neighbors before it was resolved. Given that it was Valentine's Day, the price was exorbitant and definitely not worth it. Plus, one of the three private onsens was under maintenance that day. I would have been much better off staying at one of the high-concentration sulfur hot spring hotels in Manza instead."

"Both the hotel and the rooms were spacious and very clean. This was my first time using self check-in, but it was very smooth. It would be great if there were bread for breakfast, and there was some hair on the floor in the changing area of the bathroom and in front of the sink, so a bit more cleaning there would be helpful. It's within walking distance to Yubatake, but I used the free shuttle service as it was drizzling. I'd love to stay here again next time."

"Very satisfied. The place was clean and the service was excellent. The upstairs hot spring was well-designed, the breakfast was delicious, and the location next to the station was very convenient, just a 3-minute walk away. There were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby."

"Kusatsu itself is a magnificent place. The hotel is located right in the center. The room type was traditional with futons, and we had a mountain view, which was stunning in the morning. The hotel is well-maintained. We absolutely loved the onsen at the hotel – it was incredibly enjoyable! It was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. I particularly want to highlight the breakfasts and dinners; the selection was absolutely superb. Highly recommended!"

"It was wonderful. There were plenty of baths, and the food was especially great. Plus, dinner included all-you-can-drink! The view of the river from the room was also lovely. Everything was excellent, and I think it offered great value for money."

"If you're a foreigner, a translation tool is essential because the staff don't speak English, or their accent was hard for us to understand. When we couldn't communicate, they seemed annoyed (90% of the staff didn't smile at us). There was an older staff member who was friendly, especially the one handling ski activity bookings. 🤬🤬 Absolutely terrible. The food was mediocre, not much variety or taste. The room was clean, and the onsen bathroom with amenities was excellent. In summary, due to poor communication and the staff's lack of enthusiasm in recommending snow activities, my trip ended in tears 😭😭. I had planned to do many snow activities, but instead, I just walked around, built snowmen, and rolled in the snow. I won't be coming back here next trip. I'll look for a hotel that's more welcoming to Thais."

"I happened to not expect much in the reservation on the day, but I was very impressed with the warm welcome and easy-to-understand guide. It's a bit old, but it's quite clean. I was happy that there were cartoons and table tennis tables. It was easy to go out because there was a car pick-up to the stone steps, and thanks to that, I went out at night for the first time to Ikaho, who had been there many times. It was beautiful! There is an interesting public telephone in the inn, so look at it when you go!"

"The hotel is located about half an hour's drive from Shangmao Plateau Station. The hotel has a free shuttle bus. The hotel will send an email one day in advance to confirm whether you need to book a shuttle. The hotel is in a small village, there are no modern facilities around, such as small hotel cafes, etc., basically can play in the hotel. The hotel is divided into two pieces, one is the location of the main hotel lobby, with the hotel lobby, restaurant, and small courtyard, as well as a public hot spring pool open to the outside world. The other is to ignore, mainly with accommodation rooms, a hot spring developed only for the accommodation passengers, and a small cable car. Two places can be reached by the hotel's unmanned tram, but the tram is very slow. It takes about 4 minutes to walk normally, and you need to walk a lot of stairs, which is not very friendly to passengers with inconvenient legs and feet. The overall style of the hotel is similar to the retro farm style, a bit like living in a small temple, the overall layout of the room and outside the hotel is quite detailed, there are many old-looking decorations, and the hotel also collects a lot of antiques. It feels different from other Japanese and modern Western hotels I usually live in, which is quite novel. The hot spring in the main hall seems to be a mixed bath for men and women. The other hall is separate for men and women. The hot spring has a sulfur taste but is not heavy, indoors and outdoors. If you eat a meal, I personally feel that the medium is a little bit above the level. The weight is really big. It is no problem to eat. 😂 The hotel is built on the hillside. Our room is at the highest point of the other hall. It overlooks the large rice fields in front of the hotel. The view is very wide and the scenery is very good when the sun is good. The room is large as a whole and private. There is a bathtub in the room, but it is not hot spring water. To sum up, the hotel style is quite distinctive, the view of the room is good, but the traffic is not particularly convenient, and the overall price/performance ratio is still slightly lower for me. Originally, I didn't book other hot spring hotels before I temporarily booked this one with a vacancy. Overall, the experience is medium-sized"
