Everything is good. We have a big family and it fits our needs.

I was there at Jan 2024, and only stayed there for 2 days. The staff there can speak English, and were nice. The second day I stayed there, the staff offered me to have hotpot with all the other people living in Fujiya, an unforgettable experience I treasured and will forever remembered. Even though it is a proxy of a Japanese family, it did feel like I have experienced the Japanese hospitality and friendliness. There were some interesting characters, who may or may not frequented Fujiya, whom I had the pleasure to have this hotpot together. The facilities are not the best, but the basics necessities were there and no complaining from me, they have an AC there, comfortable enough for me. The staff did explain that there is only one shower, so we might have to wait for the person to finish. However, since the location is so close to Dogo Onsen, they did recommend to go there instead, and after all, it was why i chose this location in the first place. Location is really close to the Dogo Onsen and the Yuzuki-Castle ruin, which was a lifesaver for me I would say that all other sight-seeing locations are within walking distance as well since I did walk to all those interesting places. However, I do realize not all people like to walk like I do. To counter that, Fujiya is practically next to the tram station, which you can use it to go to many places in the city. tldr, would recommend

Little bit far from the JR station, but it is walkable. They had free curry rice for night supper...but be warned it will be gone in 30minutes after the start...so line up or get there early. Overall OK stay. Breakfast buffet was nice. Rooms are a bit dingy and dated.

I booked a 3-person (4-person) room with a mattress, and it was nice that the room was spacious enough and had a separate space to organize my suitcases. There was an induction stove and kettle, so I was able to make tea or simply eat cup ramen. The room was very clean and the blanket was thick. If you are traveling as a family of three, I would definitely recommend this room. There is a large supermarket a 3-minute walk away, so it is easy to shop and there are many convenience foods. It's an 8-minute walk from downtown Dogo Onsen, but it's closer than it looks on the map. It is a distance that you can easily walk to the hot springs late at night. If your goal is a hot spring, I highly recommend it. I traveled all on foot, and it takes about 20 minutes to walk to Matsuyama Castle Cable and about 30 minutes to Okaido. The downside was that there were no staff fluent in English, but it wasn't a big problem. He was kind and made an effort to explain the room well in a mix of English, Japanese, and Korean. thanked! It was really quiet when I was there, but everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is toast with jam and instant noodles. The location is very convenient as well it's close to the train station, you can check in at the restaurant on the first level. They don't speak English but have a written instruction.

The place is really accessible to Dogo Onsen. It is clean & the front desk staff is kind & welcoming. She also tried her best to talk to me in English. My only problem is that since the divider is so thin that I could hear the loud snore of the person in the room & the sounds in the next room. Hoping they would provide earbuds to their guests or bring your own. Toilets are only two on the 2nd floor, one of them is for both gender which will be troublesome if everyone leaves at the same time. But generally it is a good place to stay.

Use when traveling on the shimamami Kaido road. The parking lot is free and large, so it's okay to be late 🅿️ There is Yoshinoya next door, and there is Kura sushi opposite, so it doesn't seem to be troublesome for food! If you drive a little, there are supermarkets and convenience stores 🏪 The room is spacious and comfortable 々. The large communal bath was very large and beautiful, probably because it was renewed. There were no amenities, so bring lotion, emulsion, and toothbrush. The lounge offers alcohol and snacks at night and breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is also very delicious and satisfying.

We were told that the onsen was closed. Which must have been a misunderstanding, as we used it later and it was great. Got a nice welcome drink - even though it was form the machine, it was a nice gesture. Location was perfect next to the train station and not far from the Henro pilgrimee temple

Awesome hotel. Cheap and comfortable. There are also public hot springs to soak. The single room is very large, it is the most comfortable one I have lived in recently, about a minute walk from the station.

An old school ryokan on Omishima. It’s located on the other side of the main cycling trail so it takes about half an hour detour to get to the ryokan. The staff were hospitable and the meals tasted great.
