"The room, while small, was very clean, just right for two people. The amenities were spotless; this is probably the cleanest hotel in Malaysia I've stayed at in terms of toiletries. The hairdryer provided was also high-end. Best of all, the staff spoke Chinese, making communication very easy, and they didn't require a deposit. I also have to praise the breakfast – it was absolutely delicious!"

"Overall, it was pretty good. It had everything we needed, and the staff were really enthusiastic. ❤️ However, the room had a slight damp smell that needs improving. Even though our room was far from the elevator, the hallway was a bit noisy in the mornings when the nannies were cleaning. The soundproofing wasn't great. 🫠"

"This is my second stay here. We booked a deluxe double room and got a ground-floor room right behind the front desk. The room wasn't huge, but it wasn't cramped either; there was still enough space to sit. There were plenty of outlets, the air conditioning worked well, and there was also a fan. The room was clean and smelled good, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. In the wardrobe, there were several hangers that seemed to have been left by previous guests. The bathroom provided soap and shampoo, and the water pressure was good. There was no drinking water in the room, but you could always get water from the dispenser behind the front desk. Tea and coffee were also available."

"Less than 200 RMB for two nights, and breakfast included? Can't really complain, can I? My two-night stay was great, except for the lack of TV and broken Wi-Fi. Breakfast was simple but sufficient; the freshly made omelet was pretty good. Two slices of toast with butter, a cup of coffee, and two pieces of fruit – I was satisfied. In the evenings, there were some great food stalls right outside: that Indian bread with three dips that I later found delicious and cheap in Kuala Lumpur. Across the street, there was a char kway teow stall with a queue for 7 MYR. Further down, past the traffic lights in a small alley, you could find seafood like prawns, clams, and snails. A bit further, I recommend the wanton mee run by a father and daughter; right next to it was oyster omelet. And at the end of this street, there was even curry chicken bread and coffee shops, haha."

"Considering it's an overseas hotel, the cleanliness is just average. Those who are bothered by older-looking places might find it a bit off-putting. Getting to and from Malacca city center is difficult without using Grab. Also, it might have been because we stayed on a Saturday, but there was some kind of event happening near the hotel's adjacent parking lot. The noise from motorbikes, people talking into microphones, and singing was terrible and kept me from sleeping until well past midnight. The reception staff were friendly, though."

"This hotel exceeded all my expectations. I'd previously stayed in 4-star and 5-star hotels in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, so I assumed this one in Malacca, being so incredibly cheap, would be just average. But it turned out to be the kids' favorite! The receptionist, who appeared to be Muslim (definitely not Chinese), was helping me check in using English. To my surprise, as soon as I handed over my passport, she started speaking in Chinese – a very pleasant surprise! We booked a suite with a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom, a living room, and two bathrooms. The room was huge, clean, and tidy, with three windows providing great natural light. The location is excellent; it's about a ten-minute walk to the Stadthuys and Jonker Street. It's also roughly a ten-minute walk from Dataran Pahlawan, where we arrived by bus from Singapore. You can walk straight from the bus stop to the mall, and there's a money exchange on the first floor. Although there's no breakfast included, Dataran Pahlawan and Jonker Street have plenty of dining options close by. Every restaurant in Malacca is both delicious and affordable, and 源记茶室 (Yuen Kee Coffee Shop) has a nice ambiance and great food. The fragrant coconut water is also a must-try!"

"The room was great, and the customer service was excellent. I booked too many rooms, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to help me sort it out. A special shout-out to the Chinese-speaking lady at the hotel who helped me resolve some issues. I highly recommend this hotel – it's right at the entrance of Jonker Street, the most vibrant area in Melaka. The 'A Ma Milk Tea' across the street is also delicious for breakfast. "Price: Very cheap 👍🏻 because I paid RM10.60 😅 Environment: Clean, simple, with water heater, air conditioning, tidy beds, two toilets, and a restaurant downstairs. Location: Excellent. I walked and enjoyed the scenery for about 10 minutes and arrived at Jonker Street. At night, there's a Malay night market and many eateries nearby, all within walking distance 🚶‍♀️. The Upside Down House is right behind, just a 1-minute walk away. Next to it, you can see beautiful night views and city lights 🌃 with boats passing by on the river. Within a 5-minute walk, there are also 99 Speedmart, 7-11, and Guardian, so you don't have to worry about not finding daily necessities. Hostel Restaurant: The food is incredibly delicious!! 👍🏻😘 And cheap too!! Summary/Thoughts: Personally, I believe you get what you pay for, so don't pay RM10 and expect RM100 service 😒; that's impossible. If you can't accept that, then don't stay here, because you can always choose to pay RM100 to stay in a hotel, right? 😂 This is a mixed dormitory, meaning it's open for both men and women, with bunk beds 🛏️. Most guests are from different countries and are backpackers or people who need a simple rest and a place to shower during a short stopover. Don't bring valuables; you need to keep your personal belongings safe, just as you would in a hotel. Their staff cleans regularly 🧹, so it's clean and doesn't have any strong odors. As for the room rules, it's stated that no loud talking or noise is allowed, no smoking 🚬, and shoes cannot be worn inside the room – they must be left outside. So the room itself is quite clean. Unless you encounter selfish guests who don't follow the rules, like wearing shoes inside. So far, the guests I've encountered here are all reasonable and respectful. From morning to night, it's not noisy or chaotic, so napping 💤 is possible 😌. Their restaurant food is super affordable and delicious 😋, they even allowed me to pack food to go. 😅 They also give a RM2 voucher for their restaurant during check-in. The cheapest fried rice is only RM5, which I tried. I also had the prawn noodles for RM10 and prawn crackers for RM10. I honestly feel so great staying here. It's cheap to stay, cheap to eat, no extra taxes, and it has air conditioning and a water heater – perfect for backpackers. I met many guests here from different cities and countries 😁, and we all shared our experiences. While talking to them, I suddenly felt very lucky, because two days ago something happened here: an elderly guest from Singapore 🇸🇬 caused a scene, verbally abusing 🤬 the staff and looking down on people. The main thing is that he was making a big fuss in the room, and even the police 👮 came in the middle of the night. But the police didn't come up to the room; they were downstairs in the restaurant. I heard the person ran away 🏃 before the police arrived because he took the deposit and even snatched the room key 🔑. The guests here all advised the owner to report it to the police 🚔. 🤔 Actually, I want to say to this Singaporean, what gives you the right to be arrogant and look down on people? Is it because the Singapore dollar exchange rate is high? Is it because you speak English? 😅 If you think you're rich and high above, you wouldn't be staying here; you'd be in a 5-star hotel. Can you insult people for paying just over ten ringgit? That's too cheap! Moreover, not everyone staying here is poor or of a lower class. Even if they were, they wouldn't be as cheap as you to cause trouble. Learning to respect others is also respecting yourself. Quality and education come from your attitude. After hearing everyone's conversations, I think this guest is an uncultured and ill-mannered Singaporean. And Malaysia and Singapore are just neighboring countries. Isn't causing trouble in a neighboring country just shaming your own country? 🤣 Where's your brain? Don't be ridiculous 🙄. Give you an inch, and you'll take a mile. For example: just because we give you a cheap price, a good environment, and service, do we have to offer ourselves to you too? 😱"

"Excellent Heritage Stay in a Prime Location! Perfect Location: Super convenient and within walking distance to Jonker Walk and Masjid Kampung Kling. There are plenty of great eateries and coffee shops right around the corner. Beautiful & Clean: We stayed in the Garden Room, which was lovely, tidy, and very comfortable. Charming Vibe: The heritage architecture gives the place a really wonderful, authentic character."

"The only plus is the hotel's price. It's located on the outskirts of the city, but there's a bus stop right around the corner that goes to the city center or the bus station. Both check-in and check-out are completely contactless. However, if you arrive without phone service, that's a problem, as all instructions only arrive once you're already there. The room was stuffy, the AC wasn't working, and the towels and blankets were worn out. The light in the bathroom kept flickering."
