Everything was perfect and very comfortable. The attention to detail was exceptional: the bedding was high quality and clean, and the pillows and mattress had just the right firmness. The interior design felt like a museum, full of historical charm. I particularly loved the furniture and decorations, which had a unique style. I saw some comments about a planned renovation, and if that's the case, please, please retain the original high-quality marble and Chinese-style furniture. This level of craftsmanship is rare to find nowadays. Honestly, I don't think a renovation is necessary, just as the Mogao Grottoes don't need rebuilding. The current aesthetic of the estate is excellent. Any renovation should be approached with extreme caution, so it doesn't end up like the unartistic Buddha statues rebuilt after Wang Daoshi sold off the scriptures, turning a museum into a small-town hotel. Trends come and go, but classics are forever. The 'quanyi' (horseshoe-back armchairs) and wardrobes in each room, along with the ethnic-style throw pillows, cushions, and curtains, are absolutely beautiful. The faucets and furniture handles are brass, which is hard to find in furniture today. The Arrow brand bathroom fixtures are of great quality. The combination of blue and white porcelain with sandstone is perfect. My only two minor points are: firstly, the sink in the room drains a bit slowly. It doesn't affect usability, but it could use a clearing. Secondly, the toilet in the Fengguo Ancestral Temple bathroom could be replaced, and the cold dressed jelly ear mushroom dish could use a little less oil.

My stay at the Zhangye Puyue Hotel (High-Speed Rail West Station Branch) was absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend it! The hotel's location is superb, just about a 7-minute walk from Zhangye West Station, making transportation incredibly convenient for travelers. The hotel facilities are brand new and high-end. The lobby is elegantly spacious, and the guest rooms are bright, roomy, and spotless. The smart home features are a thoughtful touch, with a smart toilet, humidifier, and intelligent lighting all included. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The service was warm and attentive; check-in at the front desk was efficient, and they even kindly provided welcome fruits. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, featuring local specialties like beef noodles. Plus, there's a free laundry room and fitness center. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, offering exceptional value for money. This is a must-stay when visiting Zhangye!

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed at this hotel. I just stumbled upon these beautiful photos from a previous stay in my album today and couldn't resist sharing them. Every time I walk in, I'm drawn to the authentic, down-to-earth vibe. The front desk staff are always so welcoming, eagerly greeting us and helping with our luggage. The rooms are spotless and incredibly comfortable. But the absolute best part is the snow outside the window. Waking up and drawing the curtains to a pristine white landscape, with snowflakes gently drifting down – it instantly puts me in a fantastic mood. I also have to rave about the hotel's pour-over coffee. The freshly ground beans are so aromatic, and the coffee itself is rich and smooth, not bitter at all. A warm cup in the morning, enjoyed while gazing at the snowy scenery, is pure bliss. The service is also exceptionally thoughtful; any request is met quickly and efficiently. Next time I'm in Jiayuguan, I will definitely choose this hotel again. I genuinely recommend it to everyone!

Choosing this desert camp hotel is an absolute no-brainer; you won't be disappointed. The location information is transparent and readily available, right on the east side of Mingsha Mountain, offering exclusive access to a sand dune, making it incredibly quiet and pleasant. The room amenities are mostly complete and feature major brands, plus they provide complimentary snacks and plenty of bottled water. The butler service is also excellent, responding to requests 24/7 and offering activities like travel photography and ATV experiences, ensuring both a happy stay and fun activities. However, since it's deep in the desert, you'll need to tolerate some dust. Also, the electric kettle in my room was broken, so I'd recommend that they promptly check and update the room equipment.

Our stay at Colorful Danxia Flower House Hotel was truly exceptional—easily a 5-star experience. From the moment we arrived, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even personally helping us carry our luggage upstairs. His hospitality didn’t stop there—he kindly assisted us in booking tickets for a local show and even drove us there himself, which made our trip so much more convenient and enjoyable. The room was spotless, one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain high standards. We also really appreciated the free laundry service, which was incredibly helpful during our travels. The location is perfect—just a short walking distance to the west entrance of the Danxia park, making it easy to explore. Right across the hotel is a fantastic restaurant, so finding great food was effortless. To top it all off, the owner even prepared thoughtful departing gifts for us, which was such a warm and memorable touch. His kindness and attentiveness truly set this place apart. If you’re visiting the area, this hotel is an outstanding choice.

I traveled with my father and booked two double rooms, both near the road, which were a bit noisy. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 am, and it was packed with people. There were no seats, so we had to make do with a bowl of noodles and come back later. When we went back, we had to show our meal tickets. Luckily, there were two of us, so we had four meal tickets for the two double rooms, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to have breakfast. The TV was out of service. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Overall, I think this is the best hotel in Xiahe. If you want a more comfortable stay, this hotel is quite good. It's not far to walk to Labrang Monastery. Parking is free at the hotel, so you don't need to drive to the scenic area's parking lot. The price-performance ratio is quite good.

Its location is excellent, close to Mingsha Mountain, Mogao Grottoes, and Shazhou Night Market. Rooms are spacious, equipped with humidifiers and smart toilets, and the bedding is very comfortable. The breakfast is rich, featuring local specialties. Complimentary laundry, gym access, parking, and airport pickup are provided, and the service is professional. This is a top-tier choice for a luxurious stay in Dunhuang.

I specifically chose this guesthouse for my trip to Dunhuang. It's conveniently located just 1.5 km from the west gate of Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake, meaning a short drive gets you to the scenic area, making desert exploration a breeze. Objectively, the guesthouse is a bit off the main drag, with no physical restaurants directly on the street, but delivery services are fully covered, offering a wide variety of food options, so you won't have any trouble finding something to eat. The guesthouse is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of apricot orchards, providing lush greenery, crisp air day and night, and excellent privacy. At night, there's no traffic noise from the street, allowing for a truly peaceful sleep accompanied by the gentle breeze and rustling plants. The owner provides thoughtful service, offering complimentary fresh fruit, coffee, and drinks all day, along with a delicious and free breakfast every morning. The rooms are clean and dry. This is a top choice for travelers who prefer peace and quiet, away from the bustling tourist areas. The value for money far exceeds guesthouses located directly on the street. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Dunhuang.

This is a very special place to stay and the best option for visiting the Danxia Park. I visited in April and essentially had the site to ourselves. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the food is also good. The site is ideal to be able to enter the park early to see the sunset as well as spend time close to the formations from the comfort of the camp. Like any camp one has to be prepared for shared bathrooms and showers, but the overall experience makes it totally worth it. At night it does get a bit cold, depending on the season, but with the heaters provided it was fine. I would highly recommend!

A wonderful place This hotel is a real germ. The well looked after house is very clean, airy and nicely decorated and in a quiet neighbourhood. The centre is easily reached by taxi. We got an upgrade to a very spacious room with a very comfortable bed, fluffy towels and a fresh herbal foot bath every day as well as nice local fruit tea. Breakfast was delicious. Above all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The manageress picked us up from the railway station on arrival, and organised an amazing taxi driver for our tours for a very reasonable price. We highly recommend this hotel.
