"Absolutely wonderful! I was recovering from a cold at the hotel, and the cleaning lady not only refilled my humidifier but also brought me a bucket of water. She even told me to call the front desk anytime if I felt unwell – I was so touched! The front desk attendant was also fantastic! Before I cancelled my plans, I asked her if I could get some hot food to go. She readily agreed and even offered to reheat it if it wasn't warm enough. Although I ended up skipping my outing, I'm still incredibly grateful! The breakfast was delicious too, especially the mafu dumplings – pure bliss! It was also a treat to see the Qilian Mountains covered in snow from my room. So lucky!"

"Dunhuang Hotel, a castle in the desert! The decor is truly grand, with charming camel motifs everywhere. Having breakfast at the Stargazing Pavilion with views of Mingsha Mountain is absolutely stunning, and this experience alone makes the room rate worth it! It's only a 5-minute drive to the scenic area, so the location is superb. The Chinese food is also delicious. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit small; if you're traveling with kids, I'd suggest they consider offering some larger family suites. Overall, highly recommended and a highlight for accommodation in Dunhuang! ✨"

"We upgraded to a tent room, and it was incredibly clean and hygienic. All the toiletries, bath towels, and hand towels were single-use, which was very reassuring. What's truly worth mentioning is the water pressure – the shower was surprisingly powerful, making showering an absolute delight! The water pressure in the city hotels we stayed in the following days couldn't compare to this glamping site. The environment is simply fantastic, offering the quiet solitude of the entire desert. The ATV desert buggy ride takes you to a high peak, which is perfect for amazing photos. Sandboarding was a blast for the kids, and the travel photography captured the beauty of the whole beach without the crowds. Plus, the butler service was excellent – they responded promptly to all our questions and were always available, which was wonderful. Just a heads-up: it can get windy at night, and the tent makes some noise. I was a bit scared at first, but I eventually got used to it. For first-timers, you can sleep soundly; don't worry like I did! 😄"

I'm planning to stay here again in the winter! It's very close to the night market, but the hotel's design is so well-thought-out that there's no noise at night. They even thoughtfully offered apricot tea! Dining and transportation in the area are very convenient. It's also close to the Dunhuang Museum and several lamb restaurants that locals love, highly recommended! Getting to the Mogao Grottoes, the airport, and the train station is also very easy. The hotel offers affordable shuttle services, which is especially great for those who need it, particularly if you're arriving late at night!"

"After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye."

"Probably the largest hotel in Xiahe. It's a short walk to Labrang Monastery. There's no air conditioning, which might be because it doesn't get hot here in the summer. They said they had floor heating, but it wasn't turn-on yet when we checked in, and it got a bit chilly after the rain. The hotel has a restaurant, and you can order dinner, though I found it a bit pricey – I guess that's common for tourist spots. Breakfast was decent, and the cleanliness was acceptable. Overall, I didn't feel like there were any major downsides."

The room's soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a quiet and peaceful environment. I couldn't hear any outside noise at all, which made for a very restful night's sleep and an incredibly deep sleep experience. I must particularly praise the hotel's service! All the staff members were gentle and friendly. Xiao Song at the front desk was professional and attentive, providing thoughtful service with just the right amount of space – never intrusive, but always responsive. The front desk service was efficient and patient, making check-in and check-out quick and smooth. They meticulously explained the hotel facilities and offered recommendations for local attractions and dining, as well as free luggage storage, which was incredibly convenient. Any needs during my stay were met with a quick response and timely resolution by the staff. The cleaning aunties were thorough and meticulous, working quietly and proactively restocking consumables – their service was truly thoughtful. The entire experience was excellent, making me feel genuinely at home!"

"The hotel is super close to Jiayuguan City Sports Center, just a 700-meter walk to the start/finish line of the Jiayuguan Great Wall Marathon 🏁. The interior design has a strong Northwestern feel, and even the room key fobs are unique. The room isn't huge, but it has everything you need, and a robot delivers your takeout. The disposable slippers provided in the room are also quite distinctive; I sometimes wear them at the office when I feel anxious, telling myself: 'No worldly desires' (no offense intended, just a little abstract thought). It's comfortable and also close to Jiayuguan Airport, with accurate positioning and easy taxi access."
