"We stayed for 4 days. On the first day, the hotel was fully booked, so we couldn't switch rooms. The front desk staff even came to help us unclog the drain – truly a multi-talented guy, kudos to him! For those driving, there's no underground parking, so you have to walk from street level. There are steps at the entrance, which is inconvenient if you have luggage. The front desk staff even offered to carry my bags, but for just a few steps, it wasn't really necessary. The location is great, surrounded by popular spots on Dianping (a Chinese review app), and the self-service laundry is a big plus. On another note, I have a suggestion regarding breakfast. If you pre-order breakfast the night before and don't wake up in time, having a staff member knock on your door to wake you up feels a bit intrusive and impersonal, almost like a hospital rounds check. For guests who are sure about their wake-up time, pre-ordering is fine. But for those who are unsure, it would be better to allow them to contact the front desk half an hour beforehand on the day itself to prepare breakfast, especially since it's a fixed menu anyway. I hope they'll consider a more customer-friendly approach. Overall, I'm satisfied!"

"Booked this through Ctrip and had an amazing experience! It's right in the city center, so everything is close by. The check-in on the 55th floor offered breathtaking views of the towering skyscrapers. The bedding was so soft and comfortable; I slept soundly every night and woke up naturally. The service was incredibly thoughtful. Lisa reached out before I even checked in to ask about my room preferences and helped arrange everything, making me feel cared for before I even arrived. "First time in Guiyang, we chose to stay in Huaguoyuan. The area is really lively, and we picked this art gallery hotel. It's not a real art gallery, but it certainly feels like one! 📍 The location is super close to the White House (the local landmark), just a few minutes' walk away, so you can enjoy the White House night view 🌃. 🏨 Every corner feels like an art exhibition, with sculptures, paintings, and designer furniture. 🛏 We even stayed in a Minion-themed room! Banana yellow colors, Minion pillows, and wall murals 💛. The attention to detail was amazing. The room featured a smart toilet and smart home control – you could just speak to turn off lights and close curtains. The bedding was comfortable, and the toiletries were high-quality. 💡 Little Tips: * I recommend visiting Huaguoyuan Wetland Park at dusk to capture the White House during 'blue hour' 🌆. The lights are on from 8 PM to 12 AM, making for great photos. * The hotel lobby and corridors are also very photogenic. Solid-colored clothing would look great there. * If you book one day in advance, the hotel offers a complimentary pick-up or drop-off service to/from the station or airport once! (Available from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM)."

"The location of Anshun West Mercure Hotel is truly exceptional, making getting around incredibly convenient. It's about a 10-minute walk from Anshun West Station and only a 5-minute walk to Anshun Bus Station. Plus, you can catch the direct shuttle to Huangguoshu Waterfall right from here, which is super hassle-free whether you're catching a bus or heading to a scenic spot. The transportation convenience is top-notch 🚄. However, if you're walking with luggage, it can be a bit tiring, so driving is a good option. The check-in experience was also excellent. Every staff member at the hotel was incredibly warm and friendly, always greeting you with a smile, which made me feel very comfortable and welcome. From checking in to asking questions, I felt their genuine sincerity and thoughtfulness; the service was absolutely on point. Both the location and the service are impeccable. Staying here when visiting Anshun is definitely the right choice!"

"This hotel, tucked away in a cave, is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room is fully equipped with everything you need, the mattress is comfortable, and the toiletries are excellent, making for a worry-free stay. The infinity pool right next to the waterfall is absolutely stunning during 'blue hour' – it's incredibly picturesque. The restaurant, bar, and tea lounge are all set inside the cave, creating a fantastic ambiance for dining, enjoying tea, or having a drink. It's quiet, comfortable, and natural – ideal for anyone looking to unwind for a few days and escape the city's hustle and bustle."

"We embarked on a 14-day trip to Guiyang this time. We took a direct bus from Zhenyuan Ancient Town bus station to the East Gate of Fanjingshan. After a short walk of a few minutes, crossing the Heiwuan River Wind-Rain Bridge, which spans the Taiping River and features typical Dong ethnic architectural style, we arrived at the hotel. I'd say the transportation was incredibly convenient. During check-in, we met front desk attendant Xiao Le (No. 02). He was very enthusiastic and smiling, taking our two pieces of luggage and escorting us to our room. He also presented us with complimentary welcome fruits and shared a Fanjingshan travel guide, which we found very touching. Since this was our first time in Guizhou and we were traveling independently, we weren't very familiar with the transport connections. Before our trip, I called the front desk to ask which Fanjingshan gate the hotel was closest to. The person who answered the phone was impatient, said they were busy, and hung up after just a couple of words. It's the same hotel, yet due to differing service attitudes, guests experience very different feelings. If Guizhou wants to develop its tourism industry, even with the national government building highways right to its doorstep, the service awareness still needs significant improvement."

"Five out of five stars for Guiyang Banshan Hotel! My stay was flawless from start to finish, everything was so comfortable. I especially want to give a huge shout-out to Ru Yi! My trip was packed, and I didn't have time to use all four breakfast vouchers. I just thought I'd exchange them for a few yogurts, not wanting to bother anyone. But Ru Yi was incredibly thoughtful; she insisted it would be a waste, even mentioning how hard everyone works for their money, and proactively refunded me for the unused breakfast! It was so heartwarming! Chatting with her was a pleasure; she's gentle, genuine, and her service attitude is absolutely top-notch! The boss definitely needs to give Ru Yi a bonus! The hotel's afternoon tea is on the second floor, open from 3 PM to 11 PM, which is a super generous timeframe. Whether you're out exploring during the day or just coming back to relax at night, you can always pop in – perfect for lazy travelers like me! The location is also fantastic; it's close to great places for food, shopping, and tourist attractions, making getting around incredibly convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities. This stay was absolutely perfect, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Guiyang!"

"Staying at the Bailidun Hotel Guiyang Olympic Sports Center for my trip to Guiyang was a delightful surprise! It's not just your average one-night stay; it felt more like a relaxing and therapeutic mini-getaway right in the city. What really impressed me was their Storm Spa experience 🌧️. The lighting, space, and ambiance blended perfectly, instantly putting me in a state of relaxation. It's ideal for unwinding after work or recharging during a trip. The constant-temperature hydrotherapy experience ♨️ was incredibly soothing; after a soak, my entire body felt completely relaxed, and all the fatigue slowly melted away. The room views are stunning, making every photo-op effortless – no need to search for the perfect angle. Especially with the high-altitude panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the sunset over the city from by the window in the evening, with Guiyang's cityscape spread out before you, really set the mood 📸. Spending the day enjoying the hotel facilities, watching the sunset in the evening, and then immersing myself in relaxation at night truly gives you that urban resort vibe ✨."

"I loved this place so much that I stayed 5 nights. Yang the owner speaks perfect English. I rang the day before and he was waiting at the train station with my name on a sign. He helped me organise the entrance fee. Mine was free as I'm 73 years old, even though I am a foreigner. I am travelling on my own from New Zealand. The train station pick up was free and very useful. If you take the bus it's a long way from the ticket office and bus stop into the village. Yang then transferred me into his smaller vehicle to go up the little lane to the hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into the village and has a great view of the village.. It is quiet as it's a little bit away from the busy centre. The room was perfect. Everything new and very clean. And no smells. The bed was extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. I used the washing machine in the room to wash my clothes. There was tea and coffee provided. Yang took me on a full day trip to see some other local villages that have no tourists. We walked around the villages together. It was fantastic to have an English guide to explain everything. We saw people making rice wine, making indigo dye, building a house using traditional techniques. We saw a fighting buffalo. Yang chatted to the people and explained what they were doing. This was the best time I have had in China. He was a good careful driver. The breakfast was huge! So many dishes, including fruit. Yang was always available to help me with any questions and we had good talks every morning when he helped me plan my activities."

"At the beginning of the month, my travel companion, “Peking Duck” (my child), and I explored four small cities in Guizhou – Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie, and Xingyi. We thoroughly experienced the karst landscapes, caves, waterfalls, and pastoral scenery, all in a comfortably cool climate. Here's a comprehensive guide to share with everyone! ⭕️ Guizhou Geological Museum (reservations required, closed on Mondays, last admission at 4 PM): You can book a guided tour with fossil restoration activities, which is very interesting. ⭕️ Qingyun Market: A great place to eat and explore (definitely try Guiyang's Sour Soup Hotpot – the flavor is unique compared to other regions). ⭕️ Yelang Valley (watch Nuo opera, two shows daily: 12:00-12:30 PM and 3:00-3:30 PM. Kids who enjoy crafts can try plant carving). ⭕️ I personally don't recommend Zhijin Cave for families with young children or the elderly! However, Zhijin Grand Canyon is highly recommended. Enter via the elevator, and the entire route is a downhill walk, making it very lazy-friendly. The scenic beauty is truly impressive and worth a visit! ⭕️ Guizhou Guanling National Fossil Group Geological Park (the fossil digging area is open, but the museum area will open in late July). ⭕️ Huangguoshu Waterfall (‼️ Water Curtain Cave requires reservations and raincoats are a must!). For a lazy-friendly approach: take the round-trip elevator and capture a panoramic shot from above. If you're not up for a lot of walking, you can skip Tianxing Bridge; seeing the main waterfall is breathtaking enough! And a shout-out to the park staff – every restroom is spotless, some even have toilet seat covers! ⭕️ Fenglin Buyi (consider going in the evening when the lights are on – the scenery is even more beautiful. You can experience Buyi culture, songs and dances, iron flower performances, and other unique shows. There are many fun NPC mini-games in the scenic area. Watching the iron flower show from a boat offers a more direct and spectacular view). ⭕️ Kids will absolutely love a full day at Wanfenglin! Fishing, mini-train rides, woodworking, tie-dyeing, fruit picking, making Ciba (sticky rice cakes), and so much more – they'll never want to leave! When they get tired, relaxing at a popular cafe is pure bliss! ⭕️ Maling River Canyon (known as 'the most beautiful scar on Earth.' The scenic area closes at 5:30 PM. For an aerial view, navigate to 'Maling River Canyon Parking Lot 2'). Tips: ‼️ Guizhou attractions can be physically demanding. If you're traveling with children and have limited stamina, opt for lazy-friendly routes. ‼️ Mornings and evenings are cool, but it can be quite sunny during other times, so bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito repellent. ‼️ Some attractions require advance reservations, so plan your itinerary accordingly! ‼️ Bring raincoats for Maling River and Huangguoshu, and wear non-slip shoes. ‼️ For Zhijin Cave, avoid wearing long pants or white shoes as it can get muddy! The cave temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius, so bring a jacket. Among the hotels we stayed at, 'Peking Duck' loved the Huangguoshu Kaiyuan Manju Hotel the most. It offers many parent-child activities, new facilities, and delicious dining! We enjoyed a cool summer with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius throughout our trip, without any high-intensity rushing. We experienced city life, majestic gorges and waterfalls, underground marvels, pastoral peak forests, and ethnic minority customs all at once. The best classroom is always on the road; what you see with your own eyes is far more memorable than what you read in books. It’s time to get out there with the kids!"
