The hot spring was convenient because the room had bath towels and face towels brought from the room, plastic bags and socks that could be put in wet towels, and a basket that was okay even if it was wet. It was pleasant and fun to be able to soak in the inner bath, the open-air bath, and the hot springs of 々. It was a pity that the weather was bad and I couldn't see the starry sky at night, but it depends on luck. Free ice candy and fruit vinegar drinks were provided after the bath. If I went well, I had a disappointing experience, not as much as I expected, but this hotel was a calm atmosphere hotel and it was really the best hotel for adults. I would like to go again."

"Our trip during Golden Week was to visit Nikko Toshogu Shrine and other World Heritage sites. We stayed in a corner room in the main building. The interior was beautifully maintained, in the style of a charming old-fashioned hotel, spacious, clean, and comfortable. The next day, it was bright and sunny from early morning. Through the large window, we could see fresh greenery, and snow seemed to have fallen on the distant mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our coffee and had a wonderful time. I'd love to visit again in autumn."

"This is amazing! The location next to the train station makes it easy to get to all the attractions. The man working at the reception desk deserves a bonus! He explained everything so well and was very informative. The breakfast is delicious, especially the toast with whipped cream. The rooms are large and spacious, and the bed is comfortable. There's also bottled water in the room. The amenities are excellent too; they provide toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel everywhere. I'd happily return!"

"This concept hotel in Nikko had been on my radar for a while. The guest rooms and lounge, meticulously designed by the owner, Mr. Tomiyama, exude a depth you won't find in other hotels. It made for a uniquely charming trip, something big chain hotels just can't offer. It was also very educational, as the owner personally served our meals and chatted with us! If you prefer typical, pristine hotels or well-known brands, this might not be for you. However, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a travel experience that's a bit out of the ordinary! Finally, please note that the mountain view rooms do not have bathtubs, and there's no large public bath on site. So, if a good bath is a priority for you, this might not be the best choice."

"I visited Nikko to explore the areas around Tokyo during my trip! Nikko is apparently famous for its hot springs and yuba (tofu skin) cuisine. So, I stayed at Hananoyado Mitsuya, a hot spring hotel. We booked a stay that included both dinner and breakfast. Pros: All the staff members were incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and the portions were generous! They even prepared our futons for us during dinner, and the yukata (Japanese traditional garment) were free. Among all the amenities, I loved the hot springs the most. The water temperature wasn't too hot, and the outdoor bath, in particular, was absolutely beautiful! Being in the open-air bath, surrounded by trees and nature, listening to the sounds of the nearby stream, was incredibly relaxing! My travel companion and I even booked a private hot spring for one session, which was 3300 yen for 45 minutes. They also provided free transportation to Kinugawa-Onsen Station, where we needed to catch our express train. Additionally, there were various vending machines conveniently located throughout the property. Cons: Perhaps because I visited in winter, but our room was extremely cold. Even with the heating on its highest setting, it remained chilly. I think the large size of the room might have contributed to this. Also, the internet was slow. Although the hotel had Wi-Fi, it often disconnected or had trouble connecting. Even using mobile data was slow. Aside from these points, I was very satisfied! Especially the staff's service, the hot springs, and the meals were outstanding! 👍👍"

"Nikko is a popular summer retreat for Tokyoites and the burial site of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, known for its beautiful scenery. The sacred Shinkyo Bridge is conveniently located between the hotel and the station. However, the hotel doesn't offer a shuttle service, meaning the Fufu's renowned service is limited to within its premises. Once you step out, you're on your own. When I left, there were no taxis available, and no ride-hailing apps either. The staff, with a smile, simply pointed me in the direction of the public bus stop, under the blazing sun. The hotel's garden, though not huge, is quite beautiful. The rooms are spacious, the internet connection is decent, and the facilities are excellent, especially the hot springs – both the in-room ones and the large public bath are fantastic. The absolute highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly the dining. It was truly superb."

"This was my first time visiting Oku-Nikko. I believe the hotel has been renovated, and it had a very calming atmosphere which I really liked. If I had to pick something, I wish there were more bread options for dinner. Also, it would have been nicer if the public bath was a bit cleaner."
