"A truly satisfying hotel in Shirahama! All facilities and the main building are accessible, and the hot springs and foot bath are excellent. The room wasn't small, and even though it was facing the road, it was incredibly quiet at night. The sea breeze was so pleasant! Shirahama is a lot of fun, and I'll definitely stay at Key 1 again next time! The location is super convenient; it's easy to walk to everything nearby. I even walked to the local beer factory for a refreshing pint – fantastic!"

"The hotel was perfect! Breakfast with an ocean view was lovely, and the room was incredibly spacious and new, especially compared to other hotels in the area. The 11th-floor onsen offered breathtaking views, and I loved soaking in the beautiful Shirahama sunsets every evening. Ramen shops, convenience stores, and drugstores are all within walking distance. The bus stop is a short walk down to the beach, and all the main attractions are easily accessible from there, which was very convenient. The only downside was the uphill walk, which was quite a struggle when carrying luggage. However, I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit."

"This is the best hotel experience! It's perched on a hilltop in Kushimoto, and the lobby offers an unbeatable ocean view. You absolutely have to choose the one-meal-two-stay package; the buffet dinner runs until 9 PM, which is perfect for a satisfying meal after a day of sightseeing. They have a great selection, including tuna sashimi, a special tea-rice dish, Western cuisine, and more – definitely a top-notch buffet. My favorite part was the public bath. There's an outdoor section with sea views, which is incredibly relaxing. The waiting area is spacious and even has free ice cream bars, which the kids absolutely loved. The most relaxing aspect was the happy hour in the lobby, with unlimited beer, wine, sparkling drinks, and snacks. You can just sit back and enjoy the blissful ocean views. The only downside: there was a strong musty smell, especially noticeable and persistent when it rained."

"The location is excellent, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The hot spring faces the Pacific Ocean, and watching the sunset from there is incredible. The only downside is the hotel food, which really isn't great 😹. I hope they can improve it. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I get the chance."

"I've tried both of the onsen hotels in Nachi that require a ferry to access, Urashima and Nakanoshima, and I highly recommend Nakanoshima. Everything from the hotel environment to the dinner and breakfast was excellent, especially the kaiseki dinner, which left a very deep impression on my trip to Kyoto. The picture shows the menu translated by my phone, and I must specifically mention the wagyu beef – it was absolutely delicious!!! The waitstaff even gave us an extra plate when they saw how much we enjoyed it, which was a great touch! Also, if you're going to use the onsen, you absolutely must try the outdoor one. Relaxing comfortably while looking out at the sea – now that's a vacation!"

"It took over 4 hours to get to Hotel Urashima from Kyoto, which isn't actually that far, but even their express trains are a far cry from our high-speed rail. I took an 'Ocean Arrow' train which felt quite old. There was a small observation car between 3-4 carriages, which was fine for enjoying the scenery. After arriving at the JR station, it's a short walk to the pier to catch a boat to the hotel. The self check-in machines at the hotel were incredibly convenient. It printed out vouchers for both dinner that night and breakfast the next morning, which was very handy. Staff were on hand to guide, and everything was clear. I booked a Japanese-Western style quad room, which was quite spacious and had nice views. The room provided yukata that you could wear to the hot springs and for meals. The onsen on the 33rd floor is only open to guests staying in the 'Sanjo-kan' (Mountain building), and it was deserted when we went. The 'Bokaro-do' (Forgetting-to-return-home Cave) in the main building is the most distinctive, and while it was crowded, the scenery was well worth it. We also hiked a section of the Kumano Kodo on our second day, which I highly recommend. The hotel also offers fishing rod rentals, which I believe are available until 5:30 PM. The Sanjo-kan connects to Mount Noroshi, where you can watch the sunset. The Pacific Ocean water is crystal clear, and the scenery is absolutely stunning! If I had to mention a downside, the dining was not impressive. The daily set meals were very limited in variety, and the buffet was just average, not nearly as amazing as the hot spring hotels near Lake Kawaguchiko at the foot of Mount Fuji, where the food was spectacular. If you don't mind the hassle, you can take a boat to town for dinner."

"The room faces the harbor and is very comfortable. The area is very quiet at night. It's a 15-minute walk from the seafood market. Senjojiki, Sandanbeki, and White Beach are all close together. The bus station is also very close, only ten minutes away. Secondly, the hotel's breakfast and dinner are very rich and attentive. I recommend everyone to try the kaiseki! The facilities in the room are very comprehensive and have a strong sense of ceremony. There are private baths and foot baths. It's so refreshing to soak in them after a day of strolling! The hotel also provides a bus shuttle service to the station, and free bicycles are available. I rented a bicycle and saw many beautiful views around the island. Finally, the owner, Lao Bai, is very hospitable and will drive us out to play. The two staff members can also communicate in Chinese, so it's basically barrier-free. It's very suitable for an in-depth vacation. A very satisfying trip"

"The location would be very inconvenient if you don't have a car. The parking lot is large, so it was very convenient when I visited with a rental car. The dinner and breakfast were very good. The hot springs were too hot to stay for long, but the scenery was very nice."

"For just over 1000 yen, getting a one-night stay with two meals for two people, plus a sea view, is incredible value! The dinner buffet, while not huge, had excellent quality ingredients. We feasted on delicious salmon and tuna. The room was spacious. Sure, there were a few minor imperfections in some corners, but for this price, I can't complain. The only real issue was that the hotel only offers free luggage storage until 3 PM. They didn't mention this when we dropped off our bags. Halfway through our Kumano Kodo hike, a friend behind me delivered the bad news. I ended up having to carry six people's luggage to our next accommodation all by myself. It was quite a heartbreaking experience."
