"The room was quite clean, and the front desk staff were very helpful. They even stored my luggage for free. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and was delicious. It's only a 5-minute walk from Ariake subway station, and there's a duty-free shop nearby."

"Location wise, Shinagawa prince hotel located near the Shinagawa station, so you are basically can travel anywhere without any hassle, reallyy JR lines (Yamanote Line) even Natrita Express and Shinkansen all passing by this station.
The hotel it self is pretty big, they have so many tower (i stayed in Annex Tower) there are so many things to do inside this hotel, there is a bar, a cinema, shopping centre, a 7-11, a bowling area, aquarium, you name it 😄.
The room i booked also pretty spacious, it can fit 3 people and our big luggage. With a great view toward the city (the are a huge window). The aminities is pretty ok (hotel standard) they also offer a drip coffee (which taste really good) that they refill every day (you can ask more if you want).
And the price for a night at this hotel is quite a steall it is not the cheapest hotel in tokyo nor the most expensive one. Overall i enjoyed my stay there and didn’t regret spending my money to stay there. Would definitely come back again to this place."

"The room was quite spacious compared to typical Japanese hotel rooms, and since the hotel seemed newly renovated, everything felt very clean and modern.
One small downside was that there wasn’t a small table in the room where we could comfortably eat snacks or relax. There was a small corner table, which worked for doing makeup, but the layout wasn’t really convenient for eating.
The bedding and bathroom were both very nice, and the public bath was also modern and clean. However, the water was a bit too shallow, which was slightly disappointing.
Most of the front desk staff were friendly overall, but one male staff member at reception was quite unpleasant. He had a very expressionless attitude and spoke in a way that felt unnecessarily rude and made us feel uncomfortable.
Overall, it was a clean and comfortable stay, but the service experience at the front desk could be improved."

"The facilities are great, especially the tatami mats, and the shower pressure was excellent. The only minor downside was the 10 AM checkout. Unfortunately, my family caught the flu and had a fever of over 40 degrees. Luckily, I brought medicine, but they still needed to rest. I had to pay for an additional 5 hours, at 1100 yen per hour, for an early check-in and late checkout. It was a lifesaver that they allowed us to pay for the extra time; otherwise, I don't know what we would have done. Tsukiji Market is right downstairs, but the subway is a bit of a walk, usually more than 8 minutes. Overall, it's great value for money."

"The hotel’s location and cleanliness are excellent. Considering that you will probably walk a lot during your trip to Tokyo, the hotel’s proximity to the metro station provides great convenience. The staff’s attitude and warm approach were also very commendable. When I went to the reception to solve a small problem I had in the room, a lady at the reception accompanied me to my room and helped me fix the issue. As a negative point, I can mention that the air conditioners are centrally controlled, so the temperature does not really change even if you adjust it. Also, there are only two washing machines and two dryers available for guests, which sometimes feels insufficient."

"This is my second time staying here! The hotel's location is excellent, and it's quite clean. The room has a wet/dry separation bathroom, plus a big bathtub for a relaxing soak every day. They also offer a free happy hour – I highly recommend the peach sake!
The room I booked was spacious enough to open two large suitcases, which is impressive given how expensive space is here.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Ginza and Shimbashi. Shimbashi has many subway lines, making it easy to get around to various places, and there are tons of food options. However, it's not ideal if you're traveling with kids; if you're looking for a nicer atmosphere, Ginza is the place to go.
If I come back to Tokyo, I'll definitely choose this hotel again!"

"Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The bell boy who helped me with bringing my luggages to the room was very friendly and helpful, spoke good English too. Though not all staff spoke good English, they tried their best to assist me. Their service standard is consistent throughout.
The room and the toilet was spacious and clean.
There were 4 restuarants that I could go to for breakfast. The Garden Lounge which served buffet breakfast has a wide selection of food and drink. Most importantly the food was yummy!
I enjoyed looking at the beautiful garden with waterfall view as I was seated by the window during breakfast."

"I stayed here again this year. It's right across the street from the Takanawa Exit of Shinagawa Station, in the East Tower. You can check yourself in and out, which is convenient. I stay here often for business trips, mainly because it's close to Haneda Airport and makes transferring to various train lines really easy. If you book in advance, the room rates are quite reasonable. I've tried to book breakfast before but never actually ate it because the lines were too long, so I just skipped it this time. The single room is big enough to open a large suitcase flat, which is fine. However, the luggage storage service now only allows same-day storage. Last time I was here, I could store my luggage for a few days until I returned from another location to check in again. This time, the staff member didn't even know if there was a time limit for the automatic lockers and just said she didn't know. Absolutely no service awareness; she could have checked and then gotten back to me. Luckily, I can speak Japanese, so I asked another Japanese staff member, who answered fluently and satisfactorily. It really shows how some local staff lack an understanding of their job responsibilities, the equipment within their workplace, and how to use it – it's truly baffling. So disappointing! I guess that's why she's only working at the luggage counter..."

GGuest UserI come to Tokyo several times a year, staying a fortnight or more each time. This time I spent seven nights at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu.
The room faced Hie Shrine. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows I could see the shrine's copper roof and half of Tokyo's skyline. The décor was modern without excess; the layout flowed easily, Bose speakers hidden in the walls, another set in the bathroom ceiling, connected by a 3.5mm jack. The curtains were motorized, though you hardly needed to close them.
The turndown service. I would leave in the evening and return late to find the room changed: only the hallway light and bedside lamp left on, a bottle of water and a glass on the nightstand, two chocolates beside them. The evening tea and teacup, previously stored in the cabinet, had been moved next to the coffee machine. These changes were so slight you had to think back carefully to confirm they had happened at all. The temperature and humidity had been adjusted. As if the room itself remembered your habits.
Room service fell short of the ryokan in Hakone or Lake Toya, but well above the ordinary hotel. Each day I made two or three cups of complimentary coffee, played music, read, wrote. In seven days I finished three books. The research ahead began to take shape.
There were drawbacks. No washing machine, but a decent laundromat ten minutes' walk away—a chance to wander the streets of Akasaka. The room provided HDMI and ethernet ports but no cables; for those who came to rest, perhaps a mercy. The minibar fridge was mostly occupied by drinks for purchase, same as the Imperial, though there was still room for my sparkling water.
The day I left it was half past five and fully dark. I could barely make out the faces of the bellhop and the taxi driver. Together they loaded my luggage into the boot. I wished the bellhop a happy new year in Japanese and told her I liked her hat. She smiled and returned the greeting. As the taxi pulled out of the underground drive, I thought of the inns Kawabata once wrote about: what had to be sought in the mountains of snow country can now be reached by elevator from the B2 exit of a metro station.
I have watched the Shinagawa Prince Hotel loosen quietly over time, slip a little. That kind of decline is rarely one great error. It begins the day someone forgets to leave a glass of water, neglects to move a packet of tea, omits a newspaper. As for The Capitol Hotel Tokyu: in Japanese, what I experienced over these seven days is called ちょうどいい.

DDonna MarinaThe room was very new, and the shower wasn't small with plenty of hot water and strong pressure. The location was convenient, and the bed was comfortable. If two people are staying with large luggage, it's best to book a deluxe room, not the smallest one. The small gift upon check-in was a nice touch.
The toiletries included good skincare products, but I had to specifically ask the front desk for cotton swabs, so the amenity set wasn't very complete. Surprisingly, there was only a yukata and no pajamas – I've stayed in so many hotels in Japan and never encountered one without pajamas. There also wasn't any garment deodorizer spray in the room, which is quite unusual.
The breakfast was delicious, but the open kitchen had a very strong smell. I'd recommend improving the ventilation, as I always had to shower after eating breakfast.
Overall, it was still very good! It's close to Akihabara, Don Quijote, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, and more.

Jjeffrey159I enjoyed the experience overall. The hotel is very close to the station, which made traveling around Tokyo very convenient. There is also a FamilyMart right below the hotel, perfect for quick snacks and essentials.
The hotel has a hot spring and gym facilities, although I didn’t get the chance to use them during my stay. The room itself was super spacious compared to many hotels in Tokyo. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub was large and very clean, and I also liked the Bluetooth audio speaker provided in the room.
My only complaint was the touchscreen air-conditioning control panel. It was not very responsive and honestly quite frustrating to use. I would have preferred a traditional remote controller instead. Aside from that, everything else felt modern, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

BBoluochaoxiaFacilities: The area around the sink in my room had a faint smell of smoke, even though I booked a non-smoking room. It was like the countertop had absorbed the smell over time. Other than that, everything was fine.
Hygiene: Every morning around 8:30 AM, I could hear cleaning noises from other rooms in the hallway.
Environment: There are several restaurants right downstairs from the hotel, and a subway station and a shopping mall nearby, which is quite convenient.

FFangdatong1. **Facilities:** The hotel has a main building and a south building. If you're sensitive to noise, definitely book a room on the 30th floor or higher in the main building. Rooms below the 30th floor haven't been renovated, so they have old facilities and poor soundproofing. On my first night, I stayed on the 29th floor. The room was old, and the gap under the door was huge, so there was basically no sound insulation. Any noise in the corridor could be heard, which meant I didn't get any rest all night. The duvet was also a Japanese style, like a 'sandwich cookie' – sheets on the top and bottom with the duvet in the middle, unlike our usual duvets with a proper cover. The bathroom also had the old Japanese style where the sink and tub were crammed together, and you had to stand inside the tub to shower. The next morning, I asked the front desk to change rooms, and I got one on the 31st floor, which was completely different from the 29th! The room was larger than the 29th-floor one, newly renovated, and had a wet and dry separation in the bathroom, meaning the sink and shower area were separate. The shower area even had both a shower and a soaking tub. The shower gel and shampoo were all L'Occitane brand, and the duvet had a proper cover. Most importantly, the soundproofing was much, much better! So take my advice: when booking, make sure to ask the front desk for a new room, as I feel there might be some preferential treatment given that many Westerners book this hotel.
2. **Transportation:** There's a direct shuttle bus from Haneda Airport to the hotel entrance. The bus attendant will help you with your luggage, so you don't have to carry it yourself, which is perfect for travelers with large suitcases. The return trip is the same, and this was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. However, it's worth noting that the earliest hotel shuttle to the airport on the return trip is at 8 AM. If you have an early flight, you'll need to go to the Shinjuku Bus Terminal to catch a bus to the airport. I had a 9 AM flight that day, so I had to go to the Shinjuku terminal. Luckily, the hotel isn't too far from the Shinjuku terminal, about a 15-minute walk. I asked the hotel staff to call a taxi for me, which cost around 1000 yen. For the subway, the closest station is Shinjuku, about a 10-minute walk to the entrance.
3. **Dining:** There's a 7-Eleven convenience store downstairs from the hotel. If you don't want to eat breakfast at the hotel, you can cross the street opposite the hotel entrance and walk for about 3 minutes to find a cafe for breakfast. Since the building above is offices, many local office workers choose to eat there. The coffee and food are decent, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend trying the pork cutlet sandwich – it's delicious.
**Cleanliness:** I have to admit, the cleanliness was excellent, whether in the old 29th-floor room or the 31st-floor room. It was consistently top-notch, meeting five-star standards. Even though the old room was dated, it wasn't dirty. I specifically checked the bathtub for stains, and there was no dust in the crevices of the bedside tables, on the TV remote, or on the air purifier – all those little spots you don't usually notice. So, cleanliness-wise, it's definitely okay.

CCleav3rI've always been a loyal fan of Ascott, but the Ascott Tokyo really left me speechless. Upon check-in, we were informed that the entire building would have a power outage on our last day, meaning all guests had to vacate their rooms before noon. What's more, luggage storage wasn't allowed, so we had to drag our five suitcases ourselves to the JR Tokyo Station, about a 10-minute walk away, and pay 5000 yen to store them. The hotel offered no compensation or even assistance with transporting the luggage to the station. Even more outrageous, the power went out twice in the middle of the night that day, causing the washing machine to stop mid-cycle and forcing us to rewash a whole load of clothes. Additionally, the power outage was announced to start at noon, but breakfast wasn't served at all that morning. At check-in, the front desk staff had us register for a new ASR membership and gave us breakfast vouchers, promising they could be used any day, yet when we tried to use them, breakfast wasn't available? What a joke. Please note, we were only informed of this entire power outage incident upon check-in. Why wasn't this communicated in advance? A power outage affecting the entire building is a major event, and the hotel must have known about it well in advance. If we had been notified earlier, we would have had time to choose another hotel. Instead, the hotel's complete inaction left us with no other options upon arrival. This is completely unacceptable in Japan, a country known for its excellent customer service!

FFeierziThis was my third stay, and the hotel's location is fantastic, right inside the amusement park. Suidobashi Station is also incredibly convenient for transportation.
The hotel is huge and very busy, but the price is quite reasonable. Given the volume of guests, it's understandable that the front desk staff might struggle to keep up. However, the self check-in/check-out machines are a nice addition.
There are a couple of hardware issues:
① The elevators are very slow. Even with separate high and low zones, during peak check-out times in the morning, you might have to wait for several elevators before you can get down. I feel like the algorithm could be optimized.
② The rooms are advertised as over 30 square meters, but they don't feel that big – more like 25 square meters. It's hard to even lay a large suitcase flat. This is probably difficult to change.
The biggest disappointment this time was that the Tokyo Dome City Attractions were closed due to ***. I tried to cancel my reservation a few days in advance, but it wasn't allowed, which felt a bit inflexible.

GGuest UserHotel location was ideal. It was relatively near to the Shimbashi station and Ginza station. Lots of shops around Ginza that are few minutes walk away.
Noted the room had a pamphlet for ¥1000 should we not request for room service. Throughout the 6 nights, no one offered the voucher which was weird as I stayed at the Lively, Osaka and was offered the voucher upfront upon check in. Understand it might be a different process and procedure but if there was going to be a voucher, it should have been more upfront and transparent.
On the 4th night, requested for bottled water and was seemingly questioned if I requested for room service which i denied and was given a rather doubtful look. Not the best experience with the agent but was a pleasant stay nonetheless.

MMaria. GI recently stayed at the Prince Park Tower Tokyo and found the room to be spacious with a fantastic view. Although the decor is a bit dated, the cleanliness was impressive, and the service was exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly, which made my stay even more enjoyable.
If you're looking for a quiet and serene getaway in the bustling city of Tokyo, this hotel is definitely worth considering. The beds were comfortable, contributing to a restful experience.
One of the highlights of the hotel is its proximity to Tokyo Tower and a nearby temple, both offering great sightseeing opportunities. Additionally, the hotel is surrounded by a large, beautiful garden that adds to the tranquility of the area.
However, the location is somewhat isolated, with not much in the immediate vicinity. The only convenience store is a Lawson in the basement, which closes at 11 PM. There isn't a nearby 7-Eleven, and room service also ends before then, which can be a challenge for business travelers like me who often have to navigate time differences and late-night schedules.
On a positive note, the amenities offered are excellent, including quality skincare products and plush bath towels and robes. Overall, it’s a good hotel in a quieter area, perfect for those looking to unwind.
