"I arrived at the airport late the night before, but the hotel's pick-up service was perfectly arranged. The driver was already waiting, and even proactively helped with my luggage, completely saving me the hassle of finding a taxi in the middle of the night. Upon arrival, front desk staff member #6 was incredibly friendly and polite, and check-in was very efficient. She also thoughtfully informed me of all the important details. After a long and tiring journey, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made me feel so much better, and the room environment was also excellent. The overall service was impeccable, I highly recommend this hotel! It will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Kunming!"

"This was the cheapest hotel we stayed at during our Yunnan trip, and also the one with the absolute best service! First, they offer subway station pick-up and airport transfer services. On the day of check-in, they send a reminder just in case you're unaware of these services. Upon arrival, you're immediately offered a glass of water, and then they thoughtfully help you arrange your airport transfer times. The room itself is fully smart-enabled, which is really impressive. But what touched us the most was that our flight was at 5 AM the next day, and we had scheduled a 4 AM airport drop-off. We came down about ten minutes early, expecting to wait a bit for the driver. To our surprise, even before 4 AM, a young man and a front desk lady were already waiting for us! They even kindly gave us two breakfast boxes to take on the road (we hadn't paid for breakfast). As soon as we stepped out of the hotel, the car was already waiting right at the entrance. The service was so incredible that we actually wondered if we really only paid 100 RMB, haha!"

"The hotel is great, it's been around for a while, and the surrounding environment is beautiful and pleasant. Michael provided efficient service with an excellent attitude. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive throughout our stay. When checking out, Lisa, one of the staff members, heard that our child loved the hotel's snowflake crisp and even specially packed some for us. The experience was absolutely wonderful!"

"The Grand Hyatt Kunming is a five-star hotel that opened last year in Kunming. It was meant to be the newest five-star hotel, but with the opening of the Shangri-La this year, it no longer holds that title. The hotel is located near Dongfeng Square, and the building itself is very tall. If you drive up, you'll see a fountain at the entrance, but it's not a traditional one; instead, it's one of those modern ground-level types where water jets out from various points. Entering through the main door, you're greeted by the hotel's iconic sight: a grand, high arched design. Above it, there's a crossbeam with a jade slab on one side and a sculpture on the other. The entire design is very impressive and makes for a great photo opportunity. Continuing inside, you arrive at the hotel reception, which also serves as the check-in desk. A distinctive feature is the chandelier behind the reception desk; from a distance, it looks like calligraphy brushes hanging on a rack, a thoughtful touch. On the other side, there are two sets of sofas, and behind the set at the far end, there's an interesting decoration that appears to be made from a carpet-like material. Between the reception area and the elevators, there's a hallway. It's clad entirely in dark wood, creating a profound and luxurious feel. At the end, a large marble slab serves as decoration, contributing to the overall sophisticated atmosphere. Taking the elevator up to the room, I noticed that each elevator lobby is adorned with small podocarpus trees, which is a charming and ingenious detail. Today, I'm staying in a junior suite. Upon entering, the first thing you see is a small antechamber. By the window in this area, there's a sofa paired with a round table and an armchair. Welcome fruits and snacks were already laid out on the table; the snacks were fried potato chips and cashews, and the fruits were very fresh. As they are local Yunnan produce, they tasted excellent. Moving into the bedroom, the design is very well-balanced and stable. In the center is a double bed, facing a television. Behind the bed is a floor-to-ceiling glass window, offering views of the adjacent garden and some stone houses. To the side, there's a door that opens into the bathroom. The bathroom features a large washbasin, with a shower on one side and the toilet on the other. The entire space is very generous, making for a comfortable shower experience. Besides the room, I also checked out the hotel's public areas. First, the swimming pool. It's a long, rectangular pool with plenty of natural light streaming in from the side. Interestingly, there are several rooms that connect to both the swimming pool and the spa. There's also a gym. Overall, the public facilities are quite comprehensive. Breakfast is served on the fifth floor in a buffet style, offering a wide variety of food. Generally speaking, apart from the more distant InterContinental, the Grand Hyatt is a very good five-star hotel in Kunming. The newly opened Shangri-La this year has roughly doubled its prices. If you're looking for a newer five-star hotel with better value for money, the Grand Hyatt remains an excellent choice."

"The hotel contact me 1 day before my stay because they want to arrange airport transport if I need one which very thoughtful of them. During my stay, there's construction work in front of the hotel. The staff very thoughtful and nice. They hel to carry our luggage. The room is spacious and cozy. Free self laundry and dryer. I would recommend this hotel as the staff very nice and provide good services."

"The room was clean and tidy, with complete amenities. The staff were warm and attentive, and there was no noise in the surroundings, which was conducive to sleep. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the station, which I didn't use, but it's a very thoughtful service, especially for travelers arriving late at night or needing to leave early in the morning. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm at the airport."

"This hotel is incredibly thoughtful, beyond words! It's simply amazing, truly exceptional service. I initially chose to book the Mengjing Xiyue Hotel because I saw many recommendations on Xiaohongshu, especially praising the hotel's rooftop and balconies, which looked beautiful. I never expected that after actually checking in, I'd find the hotel's service and attention to detail even more surprising! The day before check-in, the hotel staff proactively contacted us to ask about our room setup preferences for the romantic room type. Even before checking in, I could already feel their immense dedication. The hygiene also made me feel very secure! The elevator, rooms, and lobby are disinfected daily, and the towels and amenities in the room are individually packaged. Both the room and bathroom were kept exceptionally clean. For guests who value cleanliness and hygiene, this truly provides great peace of mind. What touched me the most were these thoughtful little details! My feet were aching from days of shopping, even a bit inflamed, so I went to the front desk to ask the staff if they had a foot bath. To my surprise, the staff immediately sent a foot bath to my room, and even included herbal sachets for soaking my feet! My hands were chapped and cracking due to the dry weather, so I also inquired at the front desk. The staff thoughtfully provided hand cream. These are services that are not 'mandatory,' yet they were willing to proactively help. It truly makes you feel: this hotel genuinely cares about its guests' experiences. Breakfast is also served individually, and the portions are incredibly generous! And it's not just the quantity; the taste is also excellent, especially the tomato and egg noodle soup – I've truly loved it these past few days! In the lobby, there's also a popcorn machine + various floral teas that you can mix and match! You can enjoy freshly popped popcorn every day~ You can also choose your own floral tea, put it in a small paper cup, and take it back to your room to sip while watching TV. And every evening, there are delicious 'goodnight' desserts prepared. After a long day of exploring, returning to the hotel and finding these little surprises waiting for you is truly wonderful. I've stayed in many hotels, but this is the first time I've felt: 'I had such a happy stay, I almost didn't want to check out.' It's not because the hotel is luxurious, but because every small detail makes you feel their immense dedication. If I ever come back to Kunming, I will definitely stay here again! I genuinely loved this stay experience~ Thank you, Mengjing Xiyue, for adding another warm memory to this trip. P.S.: I hope the hotel can consider adding one or two more washing machines and dryers. Because sometimes in the evening, when washing clothes, there are quite a few guests using them, and you have to wait for quite a while."

"This is indeed a courtyard hotel, and it's incredibly quiet. As soon as you enter, there's a bar with a fridge, and the TV is huge, with seamless screen mirroring from my phone. The wet and dry areas are completely separate: the washbasin, shower, and toilet are all in individual sections. The mattress is just right, not too soft or too firm, and there's a choice of regular pillows and memory foam pillows, so I slept very comfortably. There was a stack of bottled water on the table by the door, which was very convenient to grab on the way out. Plus, the staff's service attitude was excellent. All in all, I'm very satisfied!"
