"Вот A pleasant stay with a few areas for improvement As expected, the JW Marriott Zhengzhou lived up to the high standards of the Marriott brand. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. One of the highlights is definitely the building itself. The hotel is located in an impressive skyscraper, and the views, especially in the evening, are absolutely beautiful. Staying on the 52nd floor was a memorable experience. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well designed, with a proper work desk, which I appreciated. The staff were friendly and professional. I would especially like to thank the housekeeping team, who did an excellent job throughout my stay. The breakfast was another highlight. There was a great variety of food, and the quality was excellent. There were, however, a few things that could be improved. The biggest disappointment was the area immediately surrounding the hotel. If you arrive by car, everything seems perfectly fine. However, I enjoy exploring new cities on foot, and walking from the hotel was not a pleasant experience. The area around the entrance is filled with parked scooters, motorcycles, and cars, with concrete barriers everywhere. In almost every direction you walk, you first encounter parking areas, trash bins, and an untidy streetscape. It feels as though the pedestrian experience was not considered when the area was designed. It's a pity, because the hotel itself is excellent, but the surroundings don't match its quality. Another issue was a noticeable damp or musty smell in my room. I didn't see any mold, but there was a persistent humidity-related odor. One small observation: the elevators are incredibly fast because the hotel occupies such a tall building. If you're sensitive to changes in altitude or pressure, you may notice some discomfort while riding them. Finally, although the breakfast itself was excellent, the restaurant staff spoke very little English. Even asking for a spoon or fork was surprisingly difficult. Overall, I still enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel for its spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, beautiful views, and professional service. With a few improvements, especially regarding the surroundings and communication in the restaurant, it could be an even better experience."

"On a spontaneous road trip through Henan, we booked this hotel right next to the Drum Tower. The room was tiny; there wasn't even a private spot in the bathroom to change. The 'scenic view' room offered a nice panoramic view of the Drum Tower, which was a plus. However, being above the Drum Tower night market meant it was incredibly noisy at night. The room window was broken and they were fixing it until after 10 PM. Once it was finally closed, it did quiet down. We paid for breakfast vouchers, only to find out the next morning that no one was checking them. The breakfast area was packed, and while they gave out electronic pagers for the noodle station, it was pure chaos and a free-for-all. On the bright side, the hotel has its own parking lot and EV charging stations, which was very convenient. After checking out, the hotel called asking for a good review, which I found incredibly annoying. It makes me suspect their high ratings are probably inflated."

"Overall, it was decent. It's located next to the City of David. The reception is on the 7th floor. The first room I was given had a constant noise. After calling the front desk, they sent someone to fix the issue and then moved me to a different room. Breakfast: There was a good variety of food, but I didn't really eat much of it. The pan-fried dumplings were really good, but also incredibly hard; I only ate one. Breakfast only had drinks, 5 types of fruit, pastries, bread, meat, and Hulatang (spicy soup). While it looked like a lot, when it came to eating, it was just okay. It felt like a lot of it was pre-made rather than freshly prepared."

"This stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The front desk service was incredibly warm, with friendly and professional staff who made me feel right at home. Check-in was efficient, and the concierge even proactively helped with my luggage. The excellent service was a real highlight."

"The homestay is located on the pedestrian street right outside Luoyi Old City. It is easier to access through the parking lot at the back, though most taxi driver will refuse to reach there as the street is pretty narrow. Although the homestay follows old Chinese theme for all rooms and furniture, everything is new and clean. We even had water filter machine. There’s a separate laundry room that you can use for free. We were lucky that our room was at the very back, far from the noisy pedestrian street full of shops and restaurants. Definitely a recommendation for anyone who prefer staying close the to old city to take photoshoot in Chinese costumes."

"My stay here was fantastic, exceeding all my expectations. The hotel room was spacious and bright, offering plenty of room to move around comfortably without feeling cramped. The bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, and the mattress was just the right balance of firm and soft, allowing for truly relaxing and refreshing sleep. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive; check-in was efficient and quick, and they were always prompt and thoughtful in addressing any requests. The room itself was spotless, with well-maintained facilities. The overall environment was quiet and comfortable, making for a truly peaceful and pleasant stay. Excellent value for money, and the breakfast was great too!"

"The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's just a 10-minute walk from Zhengzhou East Railway Station's west exit – super close! Getting to the city center by taxi or subway is also a breeze. You can even walk around the station to the original Mixue Bingcheng store, though I heard the queue is notoriously long, so I skipped it. I also heard that Pang Dong Lai will be opening next door in October. I happened to be here during Zhou Shen's concert, so rooms were hard to come by! The room itself was large and clean, and 'Xiao Ka' at reception was very friendly and provided excellent service. If I get the chance to visit Zhengzhou again, I'll definitely choose to stay here."

"Pleasantly surprised! The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The room was spotless and well-maintained. I particularly appreciated the hotel having its own parking lot with charging stations. What really stood out was that they had already turned on the air conditioning before I even checked in – such a thoughtful and considerate touch! From now on, the Atour Hotel (North Station New District Government) will be my top choice for bookings."

"First off, the location is incredibly convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk to Shangheyuan. The room itself was very satisfactory, and perhaps because it was off-season, the price was quite reasonable. There's even a makeup studio right outside the hotel, perfect for getting dolled up before heading out to explore. The breakfast isn't a fancy, high-end spread, but it was absolutely delicious, especially the freshly made scallion pancakes. The auntie serving them was so kind and told us that the flour and oil they use are top-notch, so we could eat without worries. Overall, I'd definitely want to stay here again next time I'm in Kaifeng. I just hope I can still afford it during peak season! Thumbs up! 👍"

"Overall: Excellent, my top choice for future stays in Kaifeng. Pros: To be specific, the environment and facilities absolutely blow other Kaifeng hotels out of the water. The design is very strong without sacrificing practicality. The suite's internal layout is quite reasonable. Breakfast felt pretty good, especially the dining environment. The high ceilings in the room were very comfortable, giving a sense of space, and the decor details were very high-end. Cons: The living room and bedroom in the suite face a low shrub wall, but there's also a path outside where people can walk, so privacy is a bit of an issue. If you don't close the curtains and someone happens to walk by, you're like a fish in a fishbowl. The welcome dessert platter was exquisite, but not tasty, and it was left in the room from check-in until check-out without being removed. The sliding closet door wouldn't close completely and would slowly slide open on its own (a bit eerie at night). There were also some hygiene issues, but I've already provided feedback to the hotel, and I'm confident they will improve. Despite a few issues, the hotel's environment, location, facilities, and service attitude are all superb. There's no reason for me not to choose it again. One of the hotel's entrances is right at the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, and the other is at the Wansui Mountain entrance. Those visiting Kaifeng should definitely give it a try; I don't think you'll find a better option."
