Great Location and Amazing Views, but Disappointing Overall Experience The hotel was in a great location with amazing views, which were definitely the highlights of our stay. However, unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. There was no lift, and as we were staying on the top floor, carrying our luggage up the stairs was quite unpleasant. An elevator would be a great addition, particularly for guests with heavy luggage. The traditional keys were a unique touch that suited the character of the building, but from a security perspective, we were not particularly comfortable with them. One of our biggest concerns was privacy, as room service entered our room unexpectedly, which was very awkward. Furthermore, the hotel did not clearly communicate which days room service would take place. The information sheet in our room stated that it was carried out every Wednesday, yet our room was entered on a Friday. This lack of clarity was confusing and made us uncomfortable, as we were not expecting anyone to enter our room that day. Combined with the traditional key system, this raised concerns about guest privacy and the security of our belongings. Although the sheets were clean, the bed itself lacked comfort, and the pillow felt old and heavily used. More comfortable bedding and better-maintained pillows would make a significant difference to the quality of the stay. The room facilities were also disappointing. There was only one small bin, which filled up very quickly, no fridge to keep drinks cool, and no in-room safe for valuables such as passports and money. These are basic amenities that we would expect from a hotel. Breakfast was extremely basic, and we unfortunately did not enjoy it. We also found it disappointing that extra towels required an additional cash payment at breakfast. This felt inconvenient and was not something we expected. Another issue was the sauna, which had to be booked in advance. In our opinion, guests should have more convenient access to facilities advertised by the hotel, rather than having to arrange a separate booking just to use the sauna. Reception availability was another area that could be improved. Having staff available for extended hours throughout the period from check-in to checkout would make it much easier for guests to ask questions and receive assistance when needed. Checking out was particularly frustrating. We spent around 10 minutes looking for someone to hand our key to, walking around with our luggage and unsure where to go or who to contact. A clearer and more convenient checkout process would have prevented this unnecessary hassle. In terms of accessibility, guests arriving by car benefit from easy parking, which is a definite advantage. However, those arriving by train should be aware that the hotel is approximately a 10-minute walk from the station. This may be inconvenient with heavy luggage, especially given the lack of a lift. On a positive note, the views were amazing, the location was convenient, the sheets were clean, and the staff we encountered were friendly and seemed trustworthy. The building also has a unique character that some guests may appreciate. Overall, while the hotel has potential thanks to its location, views and charm, we felt that too many basic comforts and services were lacking. Improvements to the beds and pillows, room amenities, guest privacy, room-service communication, reception availability and access to facilities would make a significant difference. Adding a lift would also greatly improve the experience. Unfortunately, despite the positive aspects, the stay fell short of our expectations. With better communication, more attention to guest comfort and improvements to essential services, the hotel could offer a much better experience.

First off, the hotel's location is excellent, less than a 5-minute walk from the central train station! I booked a high-floor room, and the view was indeed great! You can watch the sunset 🌅 and enjoy the panoramic views! Also, the room was clean and had air conditioning. The mini-fridge was stocked with beer, coke, and sparkling water! If you need it, they'll also provide you with a city transport card! (The hotel does not provide kettles, toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers.) I'd recommend it!

This hotel feels more like a guesthouse, and I'm not sure why it's so expensive. I think it's significantly worse than comparable hotels in China like Hanting or Atour. I heard it's because of the Mozart Music Festival, which apparently doubled all hotel prices. However, the blonde lady at the front desk was very pretty and had excellent service. The surrounding area is quite quiet, but there's a Greek and an Italian restaurant directly across the street that are pretty good. There's also a large DM supermarket and a shopping mall opposite, where you can get tax refunds.

Lovely hotel. We thanks the staff of the hotel for their kind and service. The hotel give us the public traffic card of the city and it’s very convenient to all sightseeing places where we hope to see. The hotel is near by train station but it is very quiet and peaceful. We go to Hallstatt and ice cave by train. The breakfast is wonderful.

The room is a bit packed as the bed is super big. Having said that, the room is nicely designed and decorated. Free mini-bar with daily refill is rarely found in hotels in Europe. The buffet breakfast is absolutely the highlight. The omelette is crispy outside and molten inside, preserving the freshness and original flavours of all ingredients. Must try! All hotel staffs are polite and helpful. In terms of location, whether or not it is convenience, it depends. It is in the middle of Salzburg central station and the old town, going to either location is about 12 minutes walk. Salzburg down town is not big anyway. Everything is in walking distance.

The location wasnt the best. I remember walking 10 minutes to the nearest bus station and about 5-10 minutes taxi ride to the main train station. When i first arrived, a Staff suddenly complained to us about how people kept calling her when the aircon doesn’t work and asked us to try fixing it ourselves before calling her. I get the frustration but it definitely wasnt our job to listen to her whining about her job. Also i would appreciate if staff can bring up actively that we can get a free salzburg travel pass.

This hotel made us realize that when traveling as a family of three with three suitcases, a spacious room is the top priority. The value for money was unbeatable! Its excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from the central station, and the convenience of having a SPAR supermarket inside the central station, made it a fantastic stay all around.

This hotel isn't old-fashioned, and it's about a ten-minute walk to the train station. The path is flat, so dragging luggage is no problem. The front desk staff are very welcoming and even provide hotel and transportation information in Chinese. They also offer free public transport tickets for the city (perhaps because it's a tourist city, the bus drivers are used to it and never check 😂), which is handy for getting to further places. It's also convenient to walk to the train station and take the 840 bus to Königssee, although you'll need to buy a ticket for that as it's a cross-border bus.

This hotel isn't in the city center; it takes about 15 minutes by bus to get there. You'll need to ask the hotel to arrange a transportation card. The cleanliness was just okay – there was hair in the towels. On the bright side, there's complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby available in the afternoons, which was a nice touch.

The place is a stone throw away from the central station and very accessible. Also have free transportation for the number of days u stay with them - ask the staff. There are free apples and sparkling water you can retrieve from the lobby. It was a really comfortable stay. It was quiet and peaceful. They had a very secure luggage storage that was great. Loved the wall design that allowed me to hang my clothes and dry them as well.
