It is the preferred choice for business travel/airport transit check-in. It is an 18-minute drive from the International Expo Center/Phoenix Gymnasium, and 8 minutes from the subway exit of Banshang Station - 3 stops from the International Expo Center Station/Phoenix Gymnasium. During the exhibition/event/concert, free delivery service is provided at the subway exit of Banshang Station. It is a 5-10-minute drive from Wuyuan Bay, New Life Square, Xianyue Mountain Park and other scenic spots. The hotel's Xinglianxin Tea Restaurant meets the needs of buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are 150 parking spaces in the parking lot, and free parking is provided. Free self-service laundry and drying service is provided.
"I had a business trip to Indonesia and needed to transfer in Xiamen, so I specifically booked the Xindongya Hotel. Overall, the experience was great!👍 The hotel is only about 1 kilometer from Xiamen Gaoqi Airport's departure hall and offers a free shuttle service, which is incredibly convenient for business travelers with early morning flights. My flight was at 8 AM, and leaving the hotel at 6 AM was more than enough time; I didn't have to worry about missing my flight at all. Since my flight was so early, I missed the hotel breakfast, but the front desk thoughtfully packed a breakfast for me, which was a really nice touch ❤️. The hotel environment and room decor are quite clean, making it very suitable for business travelers or those needing an overnight stay for an airport transfer. The price is also quite reasonable, offering good value for money. The only slight disappointment was the noticeable noise from the air conditioning when it was running. It felt like the equipment was a bit old. If they could upgrade the AC units, the overall stay would be even better. Overall, with its proximity to the airport, free shuttle service, attentive service, and good value for money, it's a recommendable hotel near the airport."

"Our stay was absolutely fantastic, on par with the excellent service we've come to expect from Shangri-La hotels in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Annie arranged our room inspection, and Jade called us a day in advance to ask about our needs, ensuring everything was perfectly prepared. As there were two adults and one child, we were delighted to find three sets of slippers and toiletries in our room – a really thoughtful touch. The welcome fruit and the nostalgic three-ring olives were a pleasant surprise. Peri provided a quick check-out and follow-up experience, making the entire stay very enjoyable. Even the housekeeping staff we met in the corridors were incredibly warm and genuine, always greeting us and exchanging pleasantries. When we requested an extra duvet, room service delivered it within just two minutes. The staff at the Horizon Club, especially a gentleman in a dark suit and a lady we met at breakfast, were exceptionally professional. The concierge team was also wonderful, always coming forward to open the car door for us whenever we arrived or departed. Our two-day stay at Shangri-La Fuzhou was simply perfect! Many thanks to the management team and all the service staff."

"After comparing several hotels in the area, I ultimately chose this newly opened smart hotel, and I was not disappointed at all. The highlight is definitely the full smart home experience. Lights automatically turn on to welcome you when you enter, and with a single command before bed, you can turn off all power in the room. No more fumbling in the dark for light switches in the middle of the night – it's incredibly practical. The brand new renovation boasts excellent quality, with clean and tidy walls and floors. Each guest room has been thoroughly ventilated for an extended period, making it feel safe and secure. The room offers ample space and convenient storage. The staff are very responsive to requests. With its new opening, the value for money is outstanding. I'll definitely be looking for this hotel for future trips."

"This hotel is probably one of the older five-star establishments in the area. Its location by West Lake is fantastic, and it's also a short walk to Sanfang Qixiang, which makes it very convenient. The hotel facilities are as expected – clean and comfortable. We booked a lake-view room and the scenery outside the window was absolutely beautiful and delightful. The next morning, I even took my family for a walk in the park, all very convenient. I also want to commend the hotel's additional services, which I think deserve a special shout-out. First, the mini-bar: arriving at the hotel hot and tired, grabbing a cold drink from the room was pure bliss! Second, the '活力早餐包' (vibrant breakfast bag) in the morning: it's easy to carry and perfectly satisfied our basic breakfast needs. Third, the airport transfer service: booking was easy, the driver arrived early, and the vehicle was a brand-new, comfortable business van. The overall experience was top-notch! Details like these really build a brand, and I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Fuzhou."

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

There was also a mini-fridge in the room, perfect for storing fruits and drinks. The kids loved the pool downstairs. The only downside was the TV; it wasn't connected to the internet, so we couldn't choose what we wanted to watch. The hotel's location is excellent, with many attractions nearby, making it convenient for shopping and dining!

GGuest UserFound a gem for our family trip to Xiamen! The Weishang Garden Hotel's family room is simply divine. It's in a prime location on Zhongshan Road, with a charming Nanyang retro vibe. Stepping out, you're surrounded by street food and shopping districts. It's super close to the ferry terminal and the Bashi market, saving us a lot of travel time. The room is incredibly spacious, bursting with a playful, child-friendly atmosphere. My kids instantly fell in love with the bunk bed with a slide, and the safety rails gave us parents peace of mind. There were dolls, building blocks, and a small tent – enough to keep the little ones entertained for half the day, meaning we didn't have to keep an eye on them constantly. The room also features a private little balcony, and the faint scent of tea in the corridor made us feel instantly relaxed upon entering. The entire room is equipped with smart devices, and the toiletries were clean and high-quality. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the floor is covered with soft mats, so we didn't have to worry about the kids bumping themselves while running barefoot. Robot delivery is available 24/7, and the concierge was incredibly responsive to our requests. The bedding was soft, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. It's spacious and comfortable enough for a family of three or even families with two children. Our kids were already asking to come back next time we left. This is definitely our top choice for family accommodation!

The Sky Lobby on the 40th floor has a sophisticated ambiance, and the check-in process was smooth, with staff who were gentle and attentive. I stayed in a river-view room, which was spacious and well-maintained. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered panoramic views of the Min River; as dusk fell and the city lights came on, the nighttime atmosphere was absolutely captivating. The bedding was just right, neither too soft nor too firm, ensuring a very peaceful sleep. The bathroom was equipped with both a bathtub and a shower, and the toiletries were of high quality. The breakfast on the 39th floor offered a wide variety of choices, catering to both Western and Chinese tastes, including local Fuzhou specialties. The high-altitude dining experience was excellent. The heated infinity pool on the 41st floor provided breathtaking views, and the gym was well-equipped, making for a very comfortable place to relax. The hotel's location is superb, with comprehensive commercial facilities nearby, making travel very convenient. Whether for business or leisure, this is a highly recommended hotel in Fuzhou!

As for the downsides, this building houses a basketball court and a bar. Before 8:30 PM, you could hear the thumping of basketballs in the room, and after midnight, the music from the bar was very loud. Both day and night were affected. I assume this is a fundamental issue that can't be changed. There are parking spaces at the entrance, but they are incredibly small. When full, it's hard to even open the car door, and my car door handle even got a chip of paint knocked off by a neighboring car opening their door. Breakfast was decent. I wouldn't really recommend it!
