"During the off-season, the hotel was incredibly quiet, I barely saw anyone all day. The hotel is small but beautiful, with lovely greenery and aesthetically pleasing decor. While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and some areas are showing their age, for the off-season price, it's still unbeatable value for money. Overall it was great, but there are a few areas that could be improved: 1. The public restrooms. It's excellent that they provide hand towels after washing your hands, but the lighting is dim, and the labels on the hand soap and lotion bottles next to the sink are very hard to read; you have to get very close to see them. 2. The pool. They could definitely provide towels by the pool. 3. The food. This was quite disappointing. Breakfast wasn't particularly outstanding (especially the dessert section), and the complimentary afternoon tea was truly awful. You could tell immediately it was frozen instant food that had just been taken out and not fully thawed – everything was soft and mushy on the outside but hard on the inside. Also, I don't think the hotel's fruit selection was good; it was all bland and tasteless, which I think is unacceptable. Despite these points, let me highlight the biggest positive: the service. The hotel's service rivals that of some luxury hotels. Staff always smiled and greeted guests, responded very quickly to requests, and the shuttle service was available on demand. There was also turn-down service, with rooms cleaned twice daily, morning and evening, and even guests' clothes neatly arranged. Another plus is that the hotel's back entrance is close to the botanical garden, which is perfect for those who want to visit at night or early in the morning to avoid crowds. It's also ideal for spending one day near the Wangtianshu Scenic Area and then just relaxing at the hotel for the rest of the time. I had a wonderful weekend here."

"Bad review! My first time writing a long review to give a bad rating! 0. To be fair, the hotel facilities are good. 1. I booked a travel photoshoot at 6:48 PM the day before, and at 9 AM on the day of the shoot, I was informed there was no availability and that I should contact a third party to arrange a time myself. 2. I checked in at 2:52 PM on the day of my stay, and was told the room hadn't been cleaned yet. I finally received my room key at 3:36 PM. The front desk offered breakfast as an apology (the next morning, I had to wait for a table at breakfast, yes, wait for breakfast). They also gave me a welcome drink at the lobby bar – I'm not sure if this was part of the apology or standard. I chose orange juice, which was clearly just poured from a 1.5L carton of NFC juice. 3. I had dinner at the Western restaurant, a semi-buffet for 188 yuan per person. For 188, I didn't expect gourmet food, so I accepted that the only drinks were Coke, Sprite, and lemon water. However, the Wellington steak, clearly pre-treated with tenderizer, was truly outrageous. I wondered why Wellington steak and half a roasted chicken were placed side-by-side for selection – they're completely incomparable. (I spoke to the chef, who claimed no tenderizer was used. I don't know, but my tongue told me that a bouncy, tender, flavorless, soggy yet not juicy fillet is abnormal. Of course, maybe it's just because a country bumpkin like me doesn't eat steak often). 4. After dinner, I returned to my room to fill the private hot spring. Since I didn't know how to operate it, I asked the front desk. The front desk then asked if I wanted someone to disinfect it. While the front desk staff were very polite, are you implying that you think I booked this 2000-yuan room without intending to use the private hot spring, and therefore didn't need to disinfect it before giving me the room key? I'm truly speechless. 5. Inconvenient transportation. It took 20 minutes to get a Didi (ride-hailing service), and I almost missed my high-speed train."

"This is my second time in Kunming, and this time I chose to stay near Kunming Old Street for its convenient location. From the moment I entered the hotel lobby until check-in, the staff were proactive in greeting me and helping with my luggage. The young lady who checked me in, I think her name was May, was very thoughtful and even reminded me about hotel points. She also assisted throughout the process when I extended my stay. The location is absolutely fantastic. It's right next to Old Street, a popular spot for photos with its 'paper-thin' buildings. Cuihu Park is a 30-minute walk away, and there are large shopping malls and snack streets nearby. The price was a bit on the high side, but that's expected during the National Day holiday. Overall, I was very satisfied. The hotel breakfast was also good."

"The hotel is relatively new, located directly opposite the pier for boat tours on Erhai Lake. I stayed for two nights over the weekend and wasn't bothered by any noise from the road. The room had a JBL speaker, a humidifier, complimentary welcome fruit, and free soft drinks in the mini-fridge. They also offered a complimentary 'starry sky' afternoon tea on the top floor. The gym and swimming pool on the 23rd floor offer great views. Bathroom amenities, hairdryer, and breakfast are all as pictured. It's about 8 km from the ancient city and 10 km from the airport, so it's conveniently located between the two. There are many dining options downstairs, and you can also take a stroll to Erhai Park. The service was excellent; they called to remind me and provide information the day before check-in, and there was a selection of pillows available. Soundproofing was average, but luckily, my neighbors were quiet during my two-day stay. The breakfast restaurant is a bit small but offers specialty rice noodles, roasted sweet potatoes, and roasted potatoes. Overall, it's decent, though it can't compare to Shangri-La. It's comparable to the Dali Shili Hilton. The Shili Hilton's facilities are a bit older, but the rooms are larger, and it's closer to the ancient city, the Erhai Lake corridor, and the Cangshan Mountain cableway, though further from the airport."

"Choosing this hotel for my trip was absolutely the right decision; I was thoroughly satisfied with everything. The service was exceptionally heartwarming, the front desk staff were gentle and kind, and I particularly want to highlight the excellent service from Mia, our housekeeper. She patiently answered all my questions, and even offered to help with my luggage when she saw I had a lot. The hotel's location is superb, and the overall environment is tranquil and elegant, making it perfect for both travel and relaxation. It offers great value for money. I will definitely rebook here if I visit the area again, and I highly recommend it to friends who are traveling."

"This trip to Yunnan with my mother for her birthday, we traveled from northern Yunnan all the way to Kunming. We chose Grand Hyatt Kunming out of a fondness for the Hyatt brand. After more than ten days of non-stop travel, we were physically and mentally exhausted, and what we longed for most was a quiet, undisturbed space. The moment we entered the room, there was an instant sense of peaceful seclusion. Everything we needed was already prepared in the room, allowing us to settle down and rest comfortably, and all the fatigue from the journey disappeared. Special thanks to Emily (who is super beautiful!) for her thoughtful advance coordination. The communication throughout was smooth, providing a comfortable and perfect end to this long trip. "Our stay at Shang An Li Seaview Hotel in Dali was absolutely perfect! The overall minimalist wooden decor is both chic and sophisticated, and the soft furnishings in the room are comfortable and cozy, making for a truly restorative experience. Our butler, Xiao Zhang, provided excellent service. He prepared a welcome fruit platter in advance and patiently shared tips on Dali's attractions and local specialty foods before we went out. He was also very responsive to messages. The hotel's breakfast selection was rich and varied, with all sorts of fresh fruits available. The dining environment was quiet and elegant."

"How to review this place? Absolutely amazing! All the room amenities are top-notch, clearly chosen with great care. They offered complimentary afternoon tea, and the mini-fridge was stocked with an incredible variety of free snacks and drinks. The hotel provides carrots for feeding the animals – there are cows, alpacas, deer, donkeys, and horses – you can just open your door and feed them! Next to the hotel is Napahai Lake, with unbeatable scenery. Aside from hotel guests, there's hardly anyone around, so you can quietly enjoy it all to yourself. Breakfast is on the fourth floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views. The breakfast spread is rich and thoughtfully prepared. The butler and hotel staff are incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help. The front desk also has a great selection of pure-flavor milk candies. It's not far from Dukezong Ancient Town, so no worries about finding food. They even deliver soup to your room in the evening. The whole experience was fantastic! What really stood out was how much thought went into the amenities: Dyson hairdryer, Smeg kettle, HCK retro mini-fridge, black pottery tea set, very expensive vintage-style furniture, Supor handheld garment steamer, AKBK trash can, Philips universal travel adapter. In short, it’s absolutely exquisite and highly recommended!"

"Even after doing extensive research and reading numerous reviews on Xiaohongshu, I was still incredibly impressed upon checking in. The hotel's exterior clearly has a more refined feel compared to other hotels in Wunongding. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a Rinong Balcony King room on the 4th floor, which offered more privacy and fewer obstructions for viewing the snow-capped mountains. The room's design was exquisite, with all facilities thoughtfully arranged for optimal mountain views. The space was also very well-planned, providing ample room for both relaxation and work. The Wabi-sabi style, complete with a balcony, allowed me to easily step outside for photos, ensuring I never missed a clear view of the snow mountains without having to endure the cold for too long. The welcome grape juice in the room was delicious, and both the mattress and pillows were wonderfully thick and soft. The butler was very responsive and thoughtfully assisted with transfers, luggage, and even provided nasal inhalers. They patiently introduced the hotel's facilities and important information. During the off-season, there weren't many guests, making the public areas very peaceful. Both the 4th-floor coffee shop and 3rd-floor restaurant offered expansive views, though prices were a bit on the higher side. I highly recommend the highland barley Basque cheesecake at the coffee shop, the porcini mushroom braised rice and red three-diced stir-fry for dinner at the restaurant, and the matsutake and black chicken rice noodles for breakfast. The actual experience of seeing Meili Snow Mountain far surpassed any photos; I was incredibly fortunate to witness its entirety and the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' during the rainy season!"
