"The hotel's photos online really don't do it justice. This place is amazing! The only minor drawback is the soundproofing in the wooden bungalows – but that's just the nature of wooden structures, so it's understandable. Otherwise, for a resort hotel, everything is absolutely perfect. The environmental design is excellent, the food is good, the staff are very professional, and the hotel gardens are beautiful. I regret not booking a longer stay and will definitely come back if I get the chance. The white sand beach is also stunning, and the sunsets are breathtaking."

"This is our second time here, and the hotel kindly sent over a bottle of sparkling wine. We're loyal Four Seasons fans, and there's absolutely nothing to complain about! Haha. The hotel grounds are quite expansive, and the beach is beautiful. The landscaping is incredibly well-maintained. Truly lives up to the Four Seasons name! Amazing!!"

"Highly recommend！The resort boasts a private beach with stunning scenery. It’s quiet and less crowded, perfect for strolling and letting kids play in the sand. The sunset view every day is breathtaking, with orange glow spreading across the sea, full of healing vibes. Surrounded by lush tropical greenery, the whole resort offers a tranquil and fantastic holiday atmosphere. This trip left us wonderful memories, and we look forward to coming back!"

"We had a wonderful time in July. I particularly want to highlight the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. It's so lovely when everyone smiles at you, always and everywhere. The few issues that arose were resolved incredibly quickly. However, there are a few things to consider when planning your trip. A significant plus is the long, expansive beach stretching to the left of the hotel. The beach is quiet and calm. It's not the most popular section of the beach; it's a more secluded part, which was a bonus for us. No hustle and bustle, no crowds. There are several surf schools here because this part of the coast has waves during the season. For us, having surfing available was a fantastic bonus. For 10 days, there wasn't a single day with a calm sea. Every day had waves of varying intensity. Because of this, the water was always (!) murky. In July, the sunset isn't over the sea, but behind a neighboring island, yet it's incredibly beautiful on a clear day. Many families with children stay at the hotel. The main pool is noisy. But a major plus is the 18+ infinity pool on the 5th floor. This is where you'll find relaxation and quiet. My main complaint about the hotel is the constant smell of food from the restaurant in the main pool/beach area, even by the sea. It's a persistent smoky, unpleasant odor of fried oil. This bothered me significantly. The hotel has absolutely no private grounds for walking, just a small lawn near the restaurant and that's it. It's a 5-minute walk to the lively street with amenities. No complaints about the room cleaning; it was spotless every day, and our housekeeper Salim did an excellent job. The breakfast was quite varied, with many Asian dishes and a selection of European options. The yogurts and fruits were delicious, but the pastries were weak and not very tasty. The freshly squeezed juices were great. The coffee was average quality. The hotel also has a premium restaurant, Lancava. It's luxurious. All the dishes were outstanding, and the service was polite, attentive, and pleasant."

"The hotel environment is excellent, with its own private beach and a large swimming pool. The architecture is unique, and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped, though some minor details could be improved. Its location is a bit secluded, but it's not far from the airport and very close to Oriental Village and the Panorama Langkawi. There aren't many dining options around the hotel, but I tried all three main restaurants and highly recommend the Italian one. The breakfast buffet was a bit unremarkable, but the à la carte menu was fantastic. I highly recommend trying the pancakes, waffles, eggs Benedict, and Roti Canai from the à la carte. They also have a great selection of coffee; I recommend the Flat White and Latte! Oh, and don't forget to take a walk on the beach at night and look up at the incredible starry sky!"

"This Hilton resort, newly opened in April '26, offers excellent value for money compared to the Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons on the island, at less than half the price! It's located near Oriental Village, a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport. Getting to Cenang Beach takes about half an hour by taxi from the hotel, but honestly, once you've seen Cenang, you probably won't want to leave the resort anyway. The hotel boasts a gorgeous beach-style swimming pool, and the private beach is also large, beautiful, and very clean! The pool is divided into a children's pool and a family pool. There are sun loungers both by the pool and on the beach. I felt like I spent half my time just lounging by the pool! There are three restaurants at the hotel. The breakfast restaurant, Ginger Fire, is on the ground floor. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the ingredients are fresh and quite good! There's also an Italian restaurant and a Chinese restaurant. I tried the Italian place, which mainly served pizzas, risottos, and pasta. It wasn't particularly amazing, but not bad either. I didn't try the Chinese restaurant. The hotel gym is pretty good, with excellent equipment, even a Pilates reformer. I went every morning around 7 AM and it was practically empty. The hotel also offers some activities, like beach stretching at 7 AM (though the instructor seemed like some random guy, very unprofessional, more about setting a mood). I didn't join other activities, but it felt like most guests here just relaxed by the pool, doing their own thing. Since it's newly opened and hasn't been heavily promoted in China, we encountered very few Chinese tourists, which probably explains why the prices haven't been inflated yet. The transportation here isn't the most convenient, but honestly, the main beach area in Langkawi or Kuah Town can be quite dirty and run-down. So, being a bit secluded with fewer people and beautiful scenery is actually quite nice! The hotel is new, and there are plenty of staff who are generally friendly, but some service details still need improvement. For example, there's no non-slip mat in the bathroom, and the front desk sometimes messes up booking information (e.g., they told me my booking was for two people when I had paid for three breakfasts, and I had to show them my confirmation!). Regarding bookings: I received two different responses via email about children staying at the hotel! One email said that for a 13-year-old child, it would be an additional 150 MYR (including an extra bed and breakfast, and the price was the same even without an extra bed). Another email replied that a 13-year-old child could stay for free, only needing to pay for the child's breakfast. In the end, I booked through a travel platform, directly reserving for three people with breakfast but no extra bed. "5/5 — A Truly Magical Stay in the Rainforest We had a wonderful and incredibly relaxing stay at The Datai Langkawi. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely top-notch. every staff member made us feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. It was impressive (and touching) that many of them greeted us by name throughout our stay. The level of hospitality here is on another level. The room was perfect — beautifully designed, spacious, and surrounded by nature. Stepping out into the rainforest felt surreal, like being in a different world. During our stay, we spotted hornbills, macaques, and dusky leaf monkeys (also known as spectacled langurs) with their distinctive white “spectacles.” Such an incredible experience to be so close to wildlife in their natural habitat. The pool and beach were both fantastic, quiet and serene, with excellent service all around. The restaurants were excellent as well — consistently delicious food, whether breakfast or dinner, paired with attentive, warm service. Every moment felt effortless and peaceful. We loved our stay so much that we’ve decided to make The Datai our annual short getaway."

"The resort view is very beautiful, lots of nature around. Even though a shelly beach, the private beach is a big plus. Been visiting for 11 nights, if you need something (amenities, meal wise), just ask, the professional staff will deliver. Tide pool unfortunately was out of service, but renovations started before we left. Big swimming pool awesome, kids pool awesome! Just check sharp corners of broken tiles. Assume due to humid warm weather, mould on the outside of walls and doors is an issue, but still not nice to see that no effort was made to wipe it off throughout our 11 night stay. For all activities (mangrove forest tour, island hopping, cable car and the sky bridge etc), easy to organize via reception or private tour companies (do your homework, can get the experiences for cheaper). Breakfast very diverse and yummie! Kids playroom needs a thorough clean, lots of human hair lying around. Gym well set up with lots of equipment, reminder there is a jacuzzi and sauna free of charge to utilize. Overall thank you once again for all the professionalism from reception staff, room cleaning services, restaurant staff, buggy drivers, kids club staff and the regular checkins by staff like Justin for making our home away from home stay very enjoyable!
