"I've been to Australia three times, but this was my first trip to Tasmania. I traveled solo, taking a 2.5-hour drive from Hobart to Launceston in the north. I stayed at this Best Western Plus for two nights, and my overall experience was very good. **Cleanliness:** Very clean, and housekeeping cleans daily. If you're staying multiple nights and don't need cleaning the next day, you can hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on your doorknob, and they'll give you an 8 AUD meal voucher for breakfast at the restaurant. **Facilities:** Standardized beds and a bathroom. The room was spacious, very comfortable for one person. The bathroom had bath towels, regular towels, and hand towels. Laundry supplies were also provided. The minibar offered free tea bags and instant coffee. Two complimentary bottles of mineral water were in the room, with additional bottles costing 4 AUD each. The parking lot 🅿️ was quite large. **Service:** Breakfast was a continental breakfast, including bread, butter, jam, milk, and oatmeal."

"This hotel is simply a vacation paradise! The most delightful surprise was the hotel's own vibrant farm. Waking up to the crisp sound of roosters crowing in the morning, surrounded by nature, and getting to feed adorable, therapeutic small animals up close – it was truly a charming and rustic experience. I definitely need to come back in the summer to enjoy the fun of picking fresh cherries straight from the tree! This place perfectly blends luxury and comfort with idyllic countryside scenery, offering complete relaxation for both body and mind. Highly recommend!"

"I enjoyed my trip of two days to Devonport.  The staff were extremely good and polite.  I ate at the restaurant and the food was good, but on the second night I waited over an hour for the special to be brought out and then ad to return it to the kitchen to be reheated as the meal was cold and obviously had been standing somewhere waiting for table deliver. The poor staff were very busy and embarrassed.  At least 8 other people in the dining room were kept waiting for their cold meals. Apart from that…..well done."

"The hotel is located in the city centre. Parking costs about AUD 40+ per day. Overall it was okay. We stayed three nights with breakfast included. The breakfast was fine, but one staff member in the restaurant was extremely impolite and unprofessional. It left a bad impression — and I’m not sure whether her behaviour was linked to us being Asian, though she herself appeared to be Asian."

The hotel environment is great, and it's super convenient for getting around. You can easily get to anywhere you need to go. Plus, the hotel has a free swimming pool, sauna, and a small gym. I finally got to try them out on my last day and it was absolutely fantastic! Swimming and sauna in Hobart? A perfect match! I originally booked for five nights, but it was so comfortable that I extended my stay for another night. I truly love this Ibis! Highly recommended!"

"We had the most amazing stay here, all thanks to the incredible hospitality! We arrived at Hobart Airport after a super long and exhausting journey, and we were honestly running on empty. Melissa at the front desk was an absolute lifesaver! She noticed how tired we were and immediately went to work trying to get us an early check-in. Since our room wasn’t quite ready, she safely stored our luggage for us and text us the very second it was clean. That meant the world to us!She also gave us a fantastic, super detailed rundown of all the hotel facilities. To make things even better, our room had a stunning, super beautiful view of the lake. I've been to Australia three times, but this was my first trip to Tasmania. Excellent Stay in the Heart of the CBD! Great Location and Views The hotel is perfectly located right within the CBD. Getting here from the airport was incredibly easy and convenient via the SkyBus. The room featured a fantastic, unblocked view of the city skyline, which was a highlight of the stay. Comfortable and Clean Rooms The room offered good enough space to unpack and relax comfortably. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained throughout the visit. Wonderful Service The staff truly made a difference. Every team member encountered was friendly, welcoming, and highly helpful with all requests. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers looking for a seamless city stay!

The hotel is located in the city centre. Parking costs about AUD 40+ per day. Overall it was okay. We stayed three nights with breakfast included. The breakfast was fine, but one staff member in the restaurant was extremely impolite and unprofessional. It left a bad impression — and I’m not sure whether her behaviour was linked to us being Asian, though she herself appeared to be Asian.

The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very large too. It was all clean. Most guest rooms are in annexes, with reception and dining in the old building (old for Oz, anyway) which boasts a bit of style. Breakfast was quite good but items such as bacon and scrambled eggs did not stay very hot about the buffet. I liked the sourdough. Reception was prompt and professional. Now the minor dislikes: it’s a good 30 minute walk from the CBD / waterfront, up a bit of hill all the way. (There is an area with plenty of bars etc about half way). I walked several times a day and it was OK. Most guests will have cars though. The living area in the room needed a TV. If there can only be one TV per room, it would be better there than in front of the bed in my opinion. Finally, one of the two wardrobes is locked up, presumably to store linen etc. The other only has hanging space so there was no shelving. I felt a little cheated that half of “my” potential wardrobe space was denied to me! On balance, I would consider staying again, even though it is a little way out of town. Overall it is large, clean, comfortable and manages a little style.

Stayed for one night for a work conference. The check in was smooth and quick, I opted for convenient on-site parking and dining in-house. The Charcoal restaurant food and wine menu was excellent, service was attentive and fast. Check out was easy. I walked into town to buy some items required for my work, its central location is commendable. I highly recommend staying here.

The room was excellent, as expected from IHG's global quality standards. The location is very central, and the front desk staff even pointed out a cheaper parking option nearby, which was a nice touch 👍. The only downside was a bar downstairs that played loud music late into the night, though surprisingly, it didn't bother my family's sleep. I highly recommend getting executive lounge access – it's incredibly good value for money. For breakfast, I wasn't quite sure what to order and ended up with five or six main dishes, so I wasn't hungry until late afternoon!

This hotel is simply a vacation paradise! Highly recommend!
