The Yunshuilanting Hot Spring Hotel is excellent. I traveled to Changbai Mountain with my elders and stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room with two large beds. The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. Both the indoor and outdoor environments of the hotel are beautiful, and it's not far from various attractions, yet very quiet. The transportation is convenient, making it easy to get anywhere. The hotel staff are very kind, attentive, and enthusiastic. They offer an outdoor hot spring and free parking. There's also a fantastic barbecue restaurant right next door! 😄 Their breakfast is also good. Highly recommended.

Our butler provided one-on-one travel advice throughout our stay, including daily updates on the opening/closing of Tianchi Lake during the rainy season and park weather announcements. They proactively planned alternative rainy-day activities, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills. In August, Changbai Mountain experiences frequent rain and fog, and we were so grateful that the staff promptly informed us about Tianchi Lake's closure, saving us a wasted trip. Our rainy-day itinerary was well-arranged, making the entire journey worry-free and effortless. The hotel's location is excellent, and the facilities are quite comprehensive.

Excellent! Blue Horizon has been around since I was a kid, and even after all these years, it still maintains its 5-star standard. It feels like staying in a Nordic forest. The restaurant offers wild mountain vegetables with dipping sauce – the kind only true Changbai Mountain locals would recognize. You absolutely must try it! However, I'd suggest they make the portion sizes smaller; there's too much, and it'd be a shame to waste those delicious wild vegetables. The complimentary activities and attractions are also fantastic and definitely worth visiting!

SONG JIANG BONANZA WINNING HOTEL — From Smoke Signals to Sacred Silence Arrival & First Sniff This old dog finally flopped down in Jilin City, relieved to rest my paws at the grandly named Song Jiang Bonanza Winning Hotel. “Winning,” I thought—until my non-smoking room greeted me with a stale tobacco haze. One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. This was the most satisfying hotel we stayed at during our trip to Changbai Mountain Wanda Resort. The room was spacious, with a separate walk-in closet. The sofa and coffee table were perfect for enjoying some tea and relaxing. There was also a reading sofa by the window, a desk, and a lamp, all well-equipped. The chair was very comfortable, making it ideal for reading and writing. Front desk staffer Xiao Ying was warm, thoughtful, and professional, answering all our questions. We received a complimentary breakfast, and our two children really enjoyed the buffet. The restaurant opens up to a lawn with lush greenery – very chill. There were plenty of benefits, but the only downside was that each perk could only be used once per hotel. The next day, we switched to the Hyatt, and it was such a downgrade – the room was small, dimly lit, had no desk lamp, and the service was non-existent.

Right at check-in, we were given two warm bottles of Changbai Mountain mineral water. The room was standard, and the heating was very strong – we had to sleep with the window open. The hot springs, however, are in a separate building, and you have to walk through the lobby on the ground floor to get to them. The lobby and the breakfast area on the second floor weren't warm enough, making it easy to catch a cold after coming back from the hot springs. The hot springs themselves are communal and only have a few small pools; it's not really worth going unless you just want a quick taste of Changbai Mountain's hot springs.

The room is big and clean. The service staff took the initiative to upgrade our room. The service attitude is good. The bathroom is spacious, the shower water is strong, the location is very convenient, and it is very quiet at night. I stayed for one night and the experience was great. It was a good choice.

Our stay in the Changbaishan Resort suite was absolutely perfect! The room was spacious, well-equipped, and clean, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering direct views of the mountains and forest. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast featured fresh and abundant ingredients. The resort offers a wide range of activities, from forest walks to various leisure options, all within a tranquil and serene environment. Our whole family had a fantastic time, and the accommodation was incredibly comfortable. We'll definitely choose this place again on our next visit to Changbaishan!

This hotel is excellent! We're foreigners, from Russia, and it was our first time visiting Songhua Lake. The New Story Suite Hotel made us feel right at home. All the staff were incredibly kind. There are so many fun spots in this hotel! Games, karaoke, and a restaurant are all on the -1 floor. I have three kids, so there were plenty of things for them to do. It was super convenient to bring the children here. My favorite part was the massage. I especially loved Mr. He (He Ruiyou). His hands are truly amazing! We'll definitely stay here again next time! (Original Russian review also provided): We stayed at this hotel during the New Year holidays with our large family (5 people: 2 adults and three children). We rented a large room, which was cozy and clean. We all felt comfortable in this spacious room, and there were enough beds for everyone. We loved everything about this hotel: the friendly staff, and the cleanliness was top-notch – we walked barefoot in the room. You can request room cleaning as needed. Downstairs, there's a hot water pool. The water is changed every three days. But what I liked most was the Tesla shuttle service to the mountain. And the most wonderful thing about this excellent hotel is the masseur He Ruiyou (that's his name in Chinese). After a day on the slopes, a massage from Mr. He is exactly what you need. He is the best masseur I've ever encountered.

My stay at Lavande Hotel was absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making the check-in process smooth and pleasant. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortably laid out, and the soundproofing was excellent – I couldn't hear any outside noise at all, which made for a very restful sleep. The hotel's location is superb, offering great access to transportation and dining options. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I'd definitely come back again.
