The hotel is a collection of high-end selected hotels under Accor in France, and each MGallery has a unique story. The hotel is located in the Dongfengyun art town composed of vineyards, lavender fields and a large number of post-modern buildings. The hotel has built a post-modern building complex composed of red bricks and smooth curves, with many guest rooms, 3 restaurants and a lobby bar, a 400-square-meter indoor conference room, and a 1,300-square-meter outdoor swimming pool. The beautiful lake shore and the rolling mountains form a unique and dreamy blending scene.
"I booked a twin room at Zhulao, and the front desk upgraded me to a Kaleidoscope Twin Room in the main building, 3rd floor. The balcony offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the Dongfengyun Kaleidoscope architectural complex. Right outside the hotel is the iconic Red Wine Bottle building, and photos taken from the balcony turned out stunning. The stay included admission tickets to the scenic area and shuttle service, so I didn't have to pay extra, making it super convenient to enter and exit the park. The tickets could be used unlimited times. I also tried the hotel's photography service, and the photos were excellent. I had two Chinese meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was decent. The set menu was a bit average, but ordering à la carte seemed better. Breakfast was quite rich. The bell staff at the entrance were very proactive, helping with luggage, and taking me to the scenic spots for photos and sightseeing in an electric cart. They also enthusiastically introduced the attractions and routes along the way. I also want to specially thank the floor attendant, Yang Fen, who helped with several requests during my stay. My stay included a one-time use of the mini-bar: the drinks were quite good. The fruit platter on the first day had limited variety. Dongfengyun Characteristic Town admission tickets and sightseeing car tickets: Convenient for guests to explore. 5 retouched digital photos from the hotel's photography service (advance reservation required): I chose the package and was quite satisfied with the experience 👍."

"The hotel environment is fantastic, with many hot spring pools and lots of trees, plus a variety of small animals. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and we could even project movies. There's also a small private courtyard outside for a personal hot spring bath, which was amazing. The front desk staff were very attentive and detailed in their service, which was excellent. However, there was a minor flaw: there was no toilet paper holder in the restroom. The toilet paper was placed next to the sink outside the door, meaning you had to stand up to reach it, which was quite awkward."

"My partner and I stayed at Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa for two nights during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Overall, our experience was mixed. The highlight of our stay was definitely the villa itself. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was excellent—one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have slept on in a long time. We had two very restful nights, and the room provided a peaceful environment to relax after exploring Lijiang. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not live up to the hotel’s luxury branding, price point, or rating. While the property may once have been a premium resort, it now feels dated and in need of renovation. Many of the facilities and amenities appear worn, and the overall condition of the hotel gives the impression that it has not been maintained to the standard expected of a luxury resort. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The Western selection was very limited and of questionable quality, while the Chinese options were equally underwhelming. Even basic items such as the baozi did not taste freshly made. For a hotel in this price range, the food quality was surprisingly poor and far below expectations. Having stayed at many other hotels across China, including less expensive and less prestigious brands, I have often enjoyed significantly better breakfast offerings and overall value. The dining experience simply does not reflect the premium rates charged by this property. In summary, if you value a large villa and a comfortable bed, this hotel may still be worth considering. However, those expecting a true luxury resort experience, modern facilities, and high-quality dining may find themselves disappointed. The accommodation itself was enjoyable, but the amenities, maintenance, and food quality need significant improvement to justify the hotel’s reputation and pricing."

"The rooms are beautiful and very clean, and the courtyard is also lovely. The food is great, the drinks are good, and the service is even better, especially our butler, Liu Jin, who was so thoughtful. He helped us with our luggage when picking us up and dropping us off, and his kind greetings made us feel very comfortable. "When traveling with my girlfriend, the most important thing is the hotel, followed by the food. I've been to Mile many times, and honestly, the hotels there are generally quite good. But this time, the Mountain Retreat was a truly delightful surprise. The service was on par with a five-star international hotel. From the welcome gift to the hotel's amenities, everything made for a wonderful stay. The lobby design is a wonderful blend of Chinese and Western elements. It's spacious, and the hand-drip coffee is excellent! The hot spring on the first floor has both public and private pools, and importantly, it's very well-ventilated—not stuffy at all! Since I drove there, I parked right next to the hotel, making it convenient to go out and explore. What surprised me most was the body lotion provided by the hotel; it smelled amazing! I only used half a bottle, but I took the rest home to find the same product online, haha. It wasn't cheap, but it was definitely worth the price. In my opinion, a truly good value experience is what I call value for money! I didn't take pictures of the room because we arrived too late and slept in a mess. You can see other people's pictures. Clean and luxurious!"

This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests of this Yulong hotel can make use of the parking facilities. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.
"The environment here is absolutely beautiful. On our second morning, we even saw Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the hotel square. The public hot spring inside the hotel kept the kids entertained all afternoon. You can swim there, the water temperature is perfect, and the whirlpools in the hot spring play area were a lot of fun. They offer three types of drinks for free and unlimited refills, and the freshly squeezed juices are also very affordable. The public hot spring has separate pools for men and women, as well as mixed pools. The shower rooms are very clean. Our room was courtyard-style, with a private hot spring bath in the small courtyard. The hot spring water here is excellent; as soon as you get in, your skin immediately feels smooth, comparable to Beppu Onsen in Japan. However, the environment here far surpasses hotels in Beppu. Breakfast was also very good, and the hotel's dining prices aren't high. We primarily ate vegetarian dishes, and the prices were around 28-38 yuan per item, which is very reasonable and the food was clean. The hotel is very close to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Shuhe Ancient Town, Baisha Ancient Town, and the Romance Park scenic area, making it a fantastic experience for children. We're already planning to stay here again for Chinese New Year!"

"I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, particularly because of its quiet atmosphere and attention to detail. The room I stayed in featured an onsen-style bathtub combined with a shower area, and I appreciated that the hotel provided a bottle of sanitizing solution to enhance hygiene and guest comfort. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and well maintained. The hotel also offers self-service laundry facilities, including washing machines and dryers on the rooftop, which is very convenient for longer stays. Guests are also welcome to use the rooftop onsen pool, providing a relaxing experience after a day of sightseeing. Although the rooms do not come with a minibar, the hotel compensates by offering complimentary ice cream and additional bottled drinking water at the reception level. While the ice cream was not delicious, the extra refreshments were a thoughtful touch. It will be good if the hotel not to allow guests smoke in common area such as dining hall for breakfast. Overall, this hotel stands out for its peaceful environment, cleanliness, convenient access to food and park, and thoughtful amenities at very reasonable room rate. I would gladly stay here again."

"We chose Mile over Jianshui for a few days' relaxation primarily because we discovered the newly opened Holiday Inn there. Our five-day stay at the Holiday Inn exceeded our expectations. First off, this is a proper hotel, not one of those trendy simplified versions. What I mean is that its design and concept are genuinely geared towards providing guests with top-notch accommodation and service. The hotel boasts numerous public facilities: a bright and spacious lobby, an elegant little bar and lounge area, a kids' play corner, a starlit swimming pool, two hot spring pools with different temperatures, and a self-service laundry room. And then there's the restaurant – I absolutely have to mention it! The chef prepares a super rich breakfast every day, always with new surprises. I'm guessing the head chef is a master from Guangdong, though he told me he's from Yunnan. As for the rooms, they are large, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed, sheets, and duvet are all high-quality. What truly reflects the hotel's quality are the in-room furnishings: the Holiday Inn has chosen truly comfortable chairs and sofas, the kind you can relax in while reading or listening to music. The most valuable asset of this hotel, however, is its entire staff. Every single person is friendly and polite, genuinely caring for each guest. A big thank you to Xiao Ji at the front desk, Nancy at the bar, KoKo at the restaurant, and the ever-present Gavin and Jennifer, along with their entire team. The hotel's location is opposite Honghe Water Village. We walked to Dahou Park every day for a stroll, visited nearby coffee shops, tried various restaurants, and after dinner, headed to Honghe Water Village to enjoy the bustling atmosphere. We are very much looking forward to staying at this hotel again next time. Highly recommend this excellent place."

The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking. The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. I spent a long time choosing a hotel for our trip to Kunming because I wanted somewhere that would keep the kids entertained, but also be suitable for celebrating our wedding anniversary and a birthday. I chose this place primarily for the bathtub in this room type and its convenient location. However, once we arrived, I was truly impressed by how comprehensive the amenities are. From meals to entertainment, and catering to both children and adults, everything is taken care of. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive. The biggest surprise was the handwritten birthday card – in this digital age, a handwritten card really warms the heart. We booked two nights, and we didn't even leave the hotel for one of them; we spent the entire day there with the kids and never got bored. My children are already talking about coming back again.

This guesthouse in Dali is absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless, clean, and tidy with no overlooked corners. The bedding was incredibly soft, skin-friendly, and fresh, making for a super comfortable stay. The whole house is equipped with smart home features, which are simple and convenient to use – a real blessing for anyone who loves ease. The owner was warm and thoughtful, patiently answering all our questions and even recommending some local, lesser-known activities, which was incredibly heartwarming. The location is also convenient for getting around. The overall experience was top-notch. If you're coming to Dali, choosing this place is a no-brainer. I genuinely recommend it to all my friends!

Honestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan. From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking. The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. I truly want to leave a detailed five-star review for this wonderful homestay hidden inside Lijiang Ancient City, which easily becomes the highlight of my whole Yunnan travel journey. From the moment we booked online until we checked out a few days later, every single link of our accommodation exceeded my expectations. First of all, the geographical location is unbeatable. It sits in a quiet alley inside the ancient town, just a 3-5 minutes’ leisurely walk away from the bustling main street, waterwheel landmark and multiple local snack streets. We could wander around ancient city lanes day and night conveniently, yet stay away from noisy crowds and loud commercial noises after returning to the courtyard, striking a perfect balance between convenient sightseeing and peaceful rest. The homestay itself is built in classic traditional Naxi wooden courtyard style, with well-arranged green plants, wooden corridors and delicate antique decorations everywhere; sitting in the courtyard sipping local tea while enjoying slow Lijiang wind is such a relaxing pleasure every afternoon. Speaking of the guest room, it is absolutely spotlessly clean without any dust or strange odour at all. The space is larger than displayed on booking photos, with soft high-quality bedding that guarantees deep comfortable sleep after tired sightseeing around Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and nearby scenic spots. Bathroom supplies are complete, hot water runs stably all day long with strong water pressure, and high-speed stable Wi-Fi covers every corner of the room and courtyard, great for daily work and sharing travel photos online. Many rooms are equipped with private balconies, where we can overlook the layered ancient tile roofs of Lijiang old town, and even catch distant glimpses of snow-capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on sunny days. The 24-hr service is unbeatable too. Our front office lady, Xiao Xiong, is extremely helpful and always anticipates our needs well. I truly enjoyed my stay in BaiyueXiang!

This was my first time visiting Shangri-La, and this hotel truly stood out. The service was warm and welcoming, and they even had parking available. The staff helped us with our luggage to our room, which was a nice touch. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, with excellent facilities and a peaceful atmosphere. Our room had a unique charm, and the heating and hot water were plentiful. The young owner was also incredibly hospitable; I even saw him sharing champagne with some guests during their meal – it truly felt like a harmonious place. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and in the morning, you can catch the stunning 'Golden Mountain' sunrise over Shika Snow Mountain. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

I booked a twin room at Zhulao, and the front desk upgraded me to a Kaleidoscope Twin Room in the main building, 3rd floor. The balcony offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the Dongfengyun Kaleidoscope architectural complex. Right outside the hotel is the iconic Red Wine Bottle building, and photos taken from the balcony turned out stunning. The stay included admission tickets to the scenic area and shuttle service, so I didn't have to pay extra, making it super convenient to enter and exit the park. The tickets could be used unlimited times. I also tried the hotel's photography service, and the photos were excellent. I had two Chinese meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was decent. The set menu was a bit average, but ordering à la carte seemed better. Breakfast was quite rich. The bell staff at the entrance were very proactive, helping with luggage, and taking me to the scenic spots for photos and sightseeing in an electric cart. They also enthusiastically introduced the attractions and routes along the way. I also want to specially thank the floor attendant, Yang Fen, who helped with several requests during my stay. My stay included a one-time use of the mini-bar: the drinks were quite good. The fruit platter on the first day had limited variety. Dongfengyun Characteristic Town admission tickets and sightseeing car tickets: Convenient for guests to explore. 5 retouched digital photos from the hotel's photography service (advance reservation required): I chose the package and was quite satisfied with the experience 👍.

Our stay at this hotel was truly unforgettable and exceeded all our expectations. The highlight is undoubtedly the breathtaking 270-degree panoramic view from the room. On clear days, you can wake up to a magnificent view of the snow-capped mountains right from your bed—a sight that is simply magical. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained with a vast green meadow where you can relax, breathe in the fresh mountain air, admire the stunning scenery, and watch sheep peacefully grazing. It’s the perfect place to slow down and appreciate nature. One of the most memorable experiences was the BBQ dinner held in the open field. Dining under the sky with the mountain backdrop was wonderful, and the evening became even more special with a local tribal dance performance where guests were warmly invited to join in. Every night ended with a spectacular fireworks display, adding a magical touch to the atmosphere. The hospitality here is exceptional. The owner and all the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. They even arranged a lovely birthday surprise for me, complete with a complimentary bottle of red wine, which made the celebration extra special. The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle service to the nearby town, making it easy to explore the area. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with breathtaking scenery, unique local experiences, and genuine hospitality, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s a place where you can truly unwind, reconnect with nature, and create unforgettable memories. I would happily stay here again. One small suggestion for the hotel would be to consider placing more fly traps around the outdoor areas during the summer months. As the hotel is located next to a farm, there are naturally quite a few flies. This small improvement would make the outdoor dining and relaxation experience even more enjoyable.
