"Decent small hotel with good facilities but unfortunately most of them weren’t open when we visited. Weather was lovely but pool was closed. Also the restaurant was closed too so we ate out. Room was well equipped and very nice. Gardens lovely but with the bar closed it was nicer to go elsewhere."

"Booked in by our walking holiday company. An obvious 2 star bedroom but very clean and some kind young men who took my case upstairs. A superb restaurant and dinner really outperformed our expectations. A hiccup transporting our luggage the next day to our next hotel wasn’t appreciated after a 24km walk but we understand they are new hotel owners just not too well organised!"

"I really loved this hotel. From the moment I arrived the staff were both very friendly and very professional. Compared to other quite staid and old school hotels I’ve stayed in recent days, it’s got some life and colour and the rooms have a more modern feel to them. It has everything that you need and with the fan in the ceiling not having air conditioning wasn’t an issue at all. I had a wonderful dining experience for dinner too. Food was good, service was wonderful and it was lovely and relaxing to sit in the outside warmth for a good couple of hours plus. I really don’t know why it is two stars as it was just lovely all around. I would love to have been able to stay another couple of nights."

"Comfortable hotel in the centre of Tulle. No parking at the hotel, but plenty of street parking and also a nearby carpark, which was free at the weekend. Easy walking distance to the cathedral and shops, with plenty of bars and restaurants in the area"

"Το ξενοδοχείο και το πρωινό ήταν μέρος μιας περιοδικής περιοδείας στην κοιλάδα Ντόρντον. Το δωμάτιο ήταν μεγάλο και επαρκές, αλλά είχε ένα πολύ σκοτεινό σχέδιο χρώματος, τοίχους και έπιπλα. Το πρωινό ήταν εντάξει, μεγάλο γιαούρτι, ψωμί, κλπ. Φάγαμε στο εστιατόριο και το φαγητό ήταν πολύ καλό."

"My husband and I, along with two other couples, stayed at Hotel Le Turenne during a walking trip in the Dordogne. We loved this hotel. The rooms were spacious and charming, and Hazel at the front desk was super friendly and bubbly. She really made us feel welcome. Our dinner at the restaurant the second night of our stay was fabulous, and the waiter was so friendly and professional. There were two vegetarians in our group, and the chef was very tuned in to the needs of vegetarians. I was very impressed that the waiter advised us vegetarians not to order the apple dessert because it had gelatin in it. Most chefs do not know that vegetarians do not eat gelatin. The chocolate dessert we did order was fantastic! This was the best hotel on our trip!"

Logis Hôtel Auberge de Cartassac

"We have visited many Logis de France hotels and have always been very satisfied. When we visited the Logis Auberge de Cartassac in Sarrazac we were very disappointed. It is not cozy at all and the food does not live up to the price and good French food. The rooms were sad in gray colors. The dining room was cold and boring and no coziness at all. We had froisgras - it was far too cold and certainly not the best we have had - served with a small piece of toast and fig jam. The main course was magret de canard with strawberry purée and carrot purée. The meat was tough and tough. Dessert chocolate fondant but it did not run out of the cake The whipped cream and ice cream were not of a good quality and did not taste good. We cannot recommend this place and will never come back."
