Αισθάνθηκα ότι τα τελευταία χρόνια οι «Comfort Inns» είχαν κάπως έλλειψη σε σχέση με την καθαρότητα, το φωτισμό, το πρωινό κ.λπ., παρόλο που ήμουν μέλος επιλογής, αποφεύγω να μείνω σε ένα Comfort Inn. Δεν είχα επιλογή και έπρεπε να μείνω σε ένα σε διαφορετικό σημείο πριν από μερικές εβδομάδες και επιβεβαίωσε μόνο τις σκέψεις μου, «Μην μείνετε εκεί». Ήταν καθαρό, το φως ήταν φωτεινό, ακόμα και ζεστή σούπα και ζεστή κακάο το απόγευμα περιμέναμε όταν γυρίσαμε από μια διασκεδαστική, κρύα μέρα σκι! Μου άρεσε τόσο πολύ που πραγματικά συστήθηκα αυτό το ξενώνα Comfort σε άλλους."

"Staying at the Sheraton Mountain Vista is no different than buying something disposable in America - it’s meant to fail you sooner rather than later. This lodging is, in part if not wholly, associated with timeshare use. I elected to stay a week in a 1 bedroom apartment-like suite. Although the kitchen is small, it is fully functional with standard size appliances. There is a 4-seat dining table off to the side with a stackable washer and dryer behind a closed door, adjacent to it. The living room is adequately sized and spaced, and has a sliding glass door that opens to a very small patio with a gas grill that takes up about 40% of the space. Behind the living room wall, complete with a gas fireplace (that only works from Sept-May) and a hanging 45 inch television, is a good-sized bedroom. It’s equipped with a king bed and an end-of-bed padded sitting bench with built-in drawers, and a small closet with a hanging safe. There is a second fireplace and another hanging, slightly smaller television. There is also a moderately large, triangular soaking tub. To the side of the bedroom, with access from the living room is the bathroom with double sink vanity, adequate enclosed shower and large toilet room. Superficially, the room doesn’t disappoint… until it’s used. In no specific order- *The carpeted floor feels like there is no pad. It may as well have been one huge rug cut to fit on top of a hard floor; *The coffee maker lacks a basket to hold the filter and the coffee carafe lid is broken, allowing steam to escape and burn your thumb if you use it to keep the lid from falling off when pouring coffee from the glass container; *One of the bathroom sinks has a cold water faucet that lacks any pressure beyond a thin pour; *The ceiling exhaust fan near the shower seems to be wired to flush the room with hot air rather than to draw warm, moist air out; *The cable television lacks a consistent signal, creating a frequent, distorted image when a signal isn’t stalled or missing entirely; *The management allows children to remain in the swimming pool after dark, screaming enough to require that windows and glass doors be closed to muffle their noise. BTW, those are openings required for ventilation purposes since the building doesn’t have air-conditioning due to it’s mountainous setting. Why the halls are cool and the Fitness Room is literally cold, seems to be the exceptions; and *The 8 floor building with approximately 300 rooms, was serviced by a single elevator when a second one was taken offline. This is a Westin wanna-be, an attribute it will never attain due to a lack of detail and attention by ghost management. If you enjoy hearing children running up and down the halls while parents-in-training would rather talk with friends, laughing and playing loud music while keeping their doors open for cool hallway air, congratulations, this is your full price, mediocre disappointment."

"Hotel is in nice location just next to bus stop and with lots of amenities like hot pool, jacuzzi etc. Kids will have lots of fun. Very near to good restaurants. However the room service must be requested every day if you are staying there for several days."

"I've stayed at a few properties in the Vail/Breckenridge/Avon area and this is my favorite so far. I have not stayed at the Ritz or Grand Hyatt in Vail and those may change my mind but I digress. It's worth noting that there are only a little over 30 villas available at the vacation club property so booking here during ski season is very difficult. I stayed in a 1 BR villa on the 3rd floor with a view of the gondola. The bathroom was really nice with a separate soaking tub and walkin shower. The sofa has a short back and made it awkward to lean back on. That was my only critique of the villa. It's true that the vacation club building has no amenities. I chose to walk through the garage to get to the hotel building rather than walking outside. The 3 large outdoor hot tubs made the effort worth it. The hot tubs here are better than the other ski properties I have stayed at. It's also true that the property is not on the Beaver Creek mountain. I was here the week before the gondola was running. While there are numerous free shuttle and bus options, I chose to drive and park at the mountain for convenience. The drive is not far at all. I also attended a sale meeting. I did not feel pressured. I was looking for an option that would ideally guarantee me a ski week here or improve my chances, but since they are not selling weeks anymore, there are no options to guarantee a reservation. I passed on making a purchase. Beaver Creek turned out to be really fun even though the mountain was partially open during early December. I would love to come back again and would even stay at the nearby Sheraton Mountain Villas (while clearly a downgrade, the property is fine) if the Westin Riverfront is not available."

"Seasons restaurant is an exceptional culinary experience. Lou is a gourmet chef who was able to whip up something special to accommodate my dietary needs. He is also very caring and came out several times to make sure everything was perfect for us! Our waitress, Maggie was also extremely kind, thoughtful and attentive. Definitely a restaurant I can recommend without hesitation."
