"Staying at Lan Ting Xu Cheng Yuan is truly experiencing Dongjiang Lake. Our room had a stunning, unobstructed lake view; opening the window revealed serene green hills and clear waters. On sunny days, the lake sparkled, and when it rained, it was beautifully misty. The guesthouse has its own lovely courtyard, perfect for an afternoon tea by the fire, or a leisurely stroll along the lake in the evening – absolutely idyllic. The public areas are designed with understated elegance, featuring a book bar and a home theater, ideal for gathering with friends or enjoying some quiet time alone. It lacks the formality of a hotel and instead offers the warmth of a home and the relaxation of a vacation. This is definitely a hidden gem and a must-stay guesthouse when visiting Dongjiang Lake."

"Excellent hotel, definitely a five-star review! I originally booked the Wyndham, but when I arrived, the restroom on the ground floor lobby had a strong, unpleasant smell, so I searched for another hotel and this one looked good. As soon as I entered the lobby, I was impressed by its light luxury style and sophisticated ambiance. The owner must have great taste and vision. The main entrance design reminded me of the Rosewood Guangzhou. All the different sections of the lobby had a fantastic design. The front desk service was excellent; they upgraded me to a suite, and the floor attendant was also very friendly and welcoming. It was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was abundant. It's just been too hot these past two days; I'll come back in summer or autumn!"

"A very elegant hotel! A picturesque hotel! Very attentive staff! A hotel you'd want to stay in forever! Ample parking is available in front of the hotel. The hotel staff at the front desk are highly professional. Because we visited during the off-season, they proactively upgraded our 180° deluxe lake-view room to a family room. The room was a spacious 50 square meters, well-laid out, with a four-person tea table by the window where you could play cards, drink tea, and enjoy the view of the Xiaodong River. At night, you can take a boat trip from the pier opposite the hotel to enjoy the night view of the Dongjiang River. Tickets must be purchased at the hotel front desk; it's 25 yuan cheaper per person than buying them at the pier. There's a restaurant behind the hotel called ”Benyu Xiaoyuan” (笨鱼小院), where you can eat. The food is decent, but those who prefer less salt should tell the chef to add less. Highly recommended!!"

"This hotel was in a perfect location as it was close to the railway station, bus stops and had lots of convince stores around! The staff were lovely and upgraded our room for free and gave us an extra breakfast card. The breakfast was amazing with so many options (fruit, vegetables, juice, eggs etc). I would highly recommend this as a place to stay when visiting especially if you are wanting to visit Yangtianhu Grassland as the bus stop is about 8-10 minute walk away."

"Extremely satisfied with this scenic hotel! It's located right by Dongjiang Lake, in Bailang Town, with absolutely stunning surroundings. From our lake-view room, we enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets over Dongjiang Lake every morning. The hotel facilities are comprehensive; the swimming pool's water temperature and quality were both excellent, and the laundry room, gym, and parking lot were all spacious. Breakfast was abundant, and I'd like to thank the lovely front desk staff for their thoughtful service. We'll definitely choose Ramada again next time we visit Dongjiang Lake. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants right outside, making dining incredibly convenient!"

"This was my first time encountering such a great value for money in a B&B. I have to say the owner is truly exceptional. His thoughtfulness and attentiveness were evident in every detail, especially with the children, surpassing even our own patience as parents. Due to the high-speed rail shortage during the National Day holiday, we couldn't secure a suitable ticket, which put our plans for Chenzhou on hold. We were anxious about getting from the high-speed train to the B&B and then returning the next day. However, the owner was incredibly thoughtful, contacting us in advance to understand our situation and making the best arrangements possible. On our first day off the high-speed train, the weather in Hunan was incredibly hot, and our family of four waited for the train for a long time at the station, nearly causing our child to suffer from heatstroke. I was naturally agitated, but after contacting the owner, he promptly adjusted our arrangements for our family of four and asked the driver to be more reassuring. Fortunately, there was no traffic, so we were able to drive all the way to the B&B (because a section of the road to Yangtian Lake was restricted for National Day, requiring a bus). I can't imagine how our family of four would have felt without the owner's thoughtful arrangements. After an hour's journey, we finally arrived at the B&B, where we met the owner, who enthusiastically prepared lunch (the ingredients were grown in the owner's own garden). He also personally prepared the room for us and told us that the owner would personally pick us up for the itinerary and the round trip to Yangtian Lake. After dinner, the owner took our children on sightseeing trips, allowing them to get in touch with nature. After lunch, he personally sent us to Yangtian Lake and kindly told us to tell him to pick us up after the tour. He also gave us some precautions. Although it was only a short day's trip, the owner's service was very thoughtful, 100 points. He took care of all our family's meals and even set off fireworks for the children (because it was too late to set off fireworks at Yangtian Lake). So in order not to disappoint the children, the owner This is so awesome! So touching! The next day, we needed high-speed rail tickets for 7:00 AM, and the host got up at 5:00 AM to make us breakfast and drive us to the station. We'll definitely be back. Kids visiting Chenzhou, don't worry, the host is so kind. The room was especially clean. There's a river and stream nearby for play, and they sell snacks downstairs, which was very convenient.
