"The room was very large and it didn't take long to renovate. The interior is very complete, the house is not humid at all, and the heating is sufficient. The early morning is delicious and the rice noodles are very delicious. The boss is responsive and parking is very convenient, and there are two cute puppies. Highly recommended"

"After a strenuous hike up Fanjingshan, we drove to the hotel for a much-needed rest. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and courteous, even providing a complimentary room upgrade. A staff member then kindly escorted me to the elevator. The lobby was grand and impressive. Our room was spacious and felt well-appointed, clearly benefiting from a recent renovation. I particularly appreciated the bathroom's 'three-separation' design (separate wet and dry areas), and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The mattress was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was strong yet quiet. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, truly having something for everyone. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, where the male server was very attentive, and the prices were quite reasonable. However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. All the pillows were uniformly high, which was uncomfortable for me as I prefer a lower pillow, making it difficult to fall asleep. In the morning, when I went to shower, it took over ten minutes for the hot water to come on, and even then, it was only lukewarm. It wasn't hot enough to properly wash my hair, so I just quickly rinsed off and got out to avoid getting cold."

"Seeking a peaceful retreat, I blindly picked 'Yunfuli Hidden Retreat' tucked away in Zhaisha Dong Village for my trip to Fanjingshan, and I was absolutely blown away! The guesthouse's design philosophy is 'return to simplicity,' with its courtyard brimming with plants. The new Chinese-style garden, combined with the traditional Dong stilt houses, makes every photo-op a masterpiece. My favorite part was the tea set in the room; brewing a pot of Fanjing Cuiya with mountain spring water, sitting by the window watching the misty mountains, and listening to the birdsong instantly brought a sense of calm. There's none of the pretentiousness of a star-rated hotel here, only a reassuring 'host culture' and a slow pace of life. It's the perfect place to unwind for the weekend!"

"The hotel is easy to find; I saw it as soon as I got off the bus at Dongmen, just a few minutes' walk from there. The front desk staff were very friendly and recommended an excellent restaurant where I even got a discount. They also thoughtfully upgraded my room upon check-in. The room itself was great – clean, tidy, with smart features, direct drinking water, a balcony, and a huge TV. Even the toilet was smart, with a heated seat. The hotel lobby is spacious and has large, free lockers for luggage storage. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay."

The boss is enthusiastic, the room is super clean, the window is opened to see the bamboo forest, the house is by the stream, the homestay also has its own yard, there are swings, tables and chairs, you can listen to the sound of running water to drink tea, rest, the food at the homestay is also delicious, The price is not expensive. We went to the scenic spot very early the next morning. The boss said that the parking fee in the scenic spot was expensive. We also deliberately picked up early to pick us up. I was so touched. The hotel is a little over an hour's drive from Tongren Railway Station, which was very convenient as I took a taxi from Tongren. It's a ten-minute walk from Fanjingshan, and the hotel offers a shuttle service. It's a garden-style hotel with a nice environment. Since it wasn't peak season, the hotel proactively upgraded my room upon arrival. The room was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The room I stayed in the second night had a bathtub, which was very relaxing after hiking. Perfect for a vacation. The hotel also thoughtfully provided us with hiking gloves and offered to bring raincoats when the weather was bad – very considerate! Overall, I highly recommend it and give it a thumbs up!"

Amazing! Fascinating! Fanjingshan was the final stop of our memorable 10-day tour of Guizhou Province, and we truly could not have chosen a better place to conclude our journey. We felt genuinely blessed to stay at this lovely guesthouse for three nights. From the very beginning, the owner Mr. Zhang Haotian and his family made us feel completely at home; they were warm, engaging, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are tastefully designed and thoughtfully laid out, perfectly sized for comfort. Our room offered a soothing view of the river, along with a private balcony; an ideal spot to relax with your favourite tea or coffee. The modern touches were impressive too, especially the high-tech sensor toilet, which added a pleasant surprise. The three-storey guesthouse is equipped with an elevator, a thoughtful convenience for guests with heavy luggage or those who may find climbing stairs challenging. Dinner, lovingly cooked by the family, was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that reflected both their hospitality and culinary skill. Every meal felt homely and satisfying. We only wish we had taken more and better photographs of the guesthouse. Without a doubt, this is one place we will return to. As for the enchanting Fanjing Mountain itself, the owner drove us to the scenic area entrance. He even offered to pick us up later, but we chose to walk back instead, enjoying the cool climate. Fanjing Mountain is magical in its own right. The steep cable car ride to the summit, which takes over 20 minutes, was an experience in itself, offering breathtaking views of the mountain ranges stretching endlessly around us. At the top stands the age-old Buddhist temple, serene and awe-inspiring, perfectly harmonising with its natural surroundings. We loved the guesthouse, we are very grateful to Mr. Zhang and his family for their kindness, and deeply thankful for the unforgettable experience at Fanjing Mountain. It was the perfect ending to a remarkable journey.

Over the years, I've mostly opted for B&Bs when traveling. So, when I saw the spacious, stylish, and comfortable common areas at Huanlin, I was truly surprised. For a B&B, such amenities feel quite luxurious. The room itself is large with simple decor, comfortable bedding, and a full set of disposable toiletries. It also features smart home appliances throughout. Everything was pretty much perfect, except for the bathroom door not having a lock. The B&B is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the scenic area entrance and the visitor center. The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. After our visit to Fanjing Mountain the next day, she even proactively helped us arrange transport to Tongren, cut us some watermelon, and invited us to share their homemade lunch. Beyond her excellent customer service, she was constantly busy with renovations for the outdoor space in the backyard. It's clear she's put a lot of heart into running this B&B, and I believe she'll bring even more wonderful improvements to Huanlin Courtyard.

A few days before arrival, I requested contact via wechat through Trip.com and got a response from the B & B. From our first contact, the B & B was so helpful in answering my queries and putting my mind at rest. They recommended getting a taxi or DIDI from the train station. I used the DIDI App and took a DIDI from the station to the B & B. It took us an hour 20 minutes and I was in constant communication with the B & B. Upon arrival, a male staff (feels like the owner) approached to greet me and take my luggage. The B & B had a very calm atmosphere as you walk through the serene garden and the pool on the right hand side. The B & B only opened last year (2025) and it looks very stylish and modern with clean lines. The male staff who greeted me when I first arrived was very helpful throughout my stay and we communicated mostly by wechat. His son was also very adorable who hung out in the lobby. Breakfast was simple but filling and it came with the room I stayed in. I would highly recommend this B & B as it is the best in the area and just looking around would support that.

Seriously stumbled upon a hidden gem! The location is fantastic, and the free parking is such a lifesaver. The room comes with a projector for movies, a mini-fridge, and even a washer, dryer, and iron – everything you could possibly need. The front desk staff proactively upgraded my room for free, which was a lovely surprise. The room itself was spotless and wonderfully quiet. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. It was as comfortable as staying in my own house.

The location is excellent! It's hard to get early tickets for Fanjing Mountain, but staying here means you can enter early no matter what time your tickets are for. The owners are super nice; they helped us with transfers and carried our luggage. We had discounted tickets that needed activation on-site, and the owner even went to activate them for us, saving us a lot of time. I highly recommend staying here! In the morning, we didn't need a reservation for Red Cloud Golden Summit and also visited Old Golden Summit and Mushroom Stone, and we were done by noon. I also strongly suggest eating here. We ordered lunch in the morning, so when we came down, we could eat right away, saving time and allowing for a good rest. The owner's wife cooks incredibly well! I recommend the Gastrodia elata free-range chicken – it's freshly butchered and absolutely delicious. The stir-fried pork is also very good.

Staying at Taihe Fanjingyun Manor Hotel added a lot of enjoyment to my trip to Fanjingshan. It's not far from the Fanjingshan scenic area, making it convenient for hiking. The matcha town is right across the street, offering easy access for strolling and dining. Great B&B with strategic & convenient location with different choices of eateries within walking distance. Just a few minutes walk to FanjingShan entrance The owner sent us to KFC nearby with his car and fetched us back with his scooter as car not allowed to enter area where KFC is located. We booked 3 different rooms, all of them are spacious and with great design. This room is perfect for family gathering as we were on family trip. The only area of improvement is the floor that feels dusty on bare foot.

The price is really high~ First of all, the location is very good, the entrance of the scenic spot, it is convenient to play, this hotel is an excellent choice. The hillside guesthouse felt like a warm welcome home after a long, tiring day at work. Even before arriving, the owner contacted me to remind me to buy tickets, offering plenty of advice and hiking tips, along with transportation information. There was no need to plan anything here; everything was taken care of – food, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment. Upon arrival, the housekeeper warmly helped with our luggage, and the owner greeted us enthusiastically, like old friends even though we'd never met before. After check-in, we were immediately offered sparkling water, iced coffee, and welcome fruit. The air conditioning was already on, and the room was clean and hygienic, with a small courtyard for easy access. Breakfast wasn't as lavish as a hotel meal, but it was delicious: minced meat rice noodles, fried eggs, steamed corn bread, steamed corn, and millet cakes – the taste was unlike anything you'd find in a pre-made meal. They even packed up the leftovers for us to take hiking. After breakfast, the owner drove us to the scenic area in his Porsche. The scenic area was only 1 kilometer from the guesthouse, but he insisted on driving us there, saying parking would be inconvenient late at night. He also offered to pick us up on the way back, but we took a taxi – very convenient indeed. What surprised me most when we returned to the guesthouse after our hike was the foot bath tub they had provided. We sat in the pavilion, sipping tea and soaking our feet – it was incredibly relaxing. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to my friends. Goodbye!
