"We added Lingao to our road trip because we wanted to try the famous Lingao roasted suckling pig, but it wasn't quite as good as we'd hoped for. 1. The hotel is close to the sea and has its own private beach. However, the sea views aren't as stunning as those in Wanning and Lingshui further south. 2. I've noticed that most hotels near the coast in Hainan are quite humid, and the bedding often feels a bit damp. Despite that, the hotel was generally clean and hygienic. 3. My child is over 1.5 meters tall, but they still provided a complimentary breakfast, which was a nice touch. Some hotels would definitely charge extra for that, so kudos to their service! 4. The ground floor rooms have direct access to a private pool, and all ground floor guests share a large communal pool, which is a great feature. We opted for a sea-view room instead of a ground floor one, and the view was still lovely, even though it was a bit foggy during our entire stay in Hainan."

"In Bozong Village, Dongying Town, Lingao, the guesthouses listed on the Golden Coast website are quite large-scale and generally of good quality. After careful selection, I chose Langhua Xiaozhu. The sea-view room was fully equipped (automatic toilet...), the room was spacious and bright, and although the breakfast selection was limited, it was still quite delicious. There was also a mini indoor pool (but unfortunately, it wasn't filled with water for guests; the receptionist said the owner is from Kaifeng, Henan, and recently went back to his hometown... so...). The guesthouse has a foot bath, and there's a coffee shop across the street (I haven't tried it, so I can't comment), and next door is a restaurant (although the prices aren't very friendly, the food is good). There are quite a few dining options around! The beach and sea are just across the street, making it very convenient for morning and evening beach walks! In short, I highly recommend it! This review is based on my actual stay experience and I haven't accepted any endorsements, so please don't be offended if you disagree!"

"The most correct decision of this trip to Lingao is to live in Yudu·Haishiguang. From accommodation to experience, it is gently wrapped. The butler service is super warm, contact in advance, take the initiative to guide the way, help carry the luggage, and respond super fast. There are welcome drinks at check-in, breakfast is fresh and rich, Chinese porridge, side dishes, and fruits are all available, and the day is full of vitality. Will also take the initiative to share local guides, food recommendations, and pit avoidance guides, more detailed than the guides made by yourself, the whole process is intimate and thoughtful, like family. The homestay is a few minutes walk to the beach, which is a natural treasure! The housekeeper provides a full set of tools such as small buckets, shovels, headlights for free, and will patiently explain the tide timetable and sea-catching skills, teach crabs, conch picks, shells by hand, and returns with a sense of accomplishment. The beach is clean and delicate, parents and children, couples can have fun, immersive experience of the fun of the fishing village, this is the correct way to open the seaside holiday!"

"The room was spacious, with a view of the sea. There were only two restaurants and a supermarket nearby. There were many cultural events across the street in the evening, which was a bit noisy. The hallway was dark, so you had to turn on a light when entering or leaving at night. The washing machine on the rooftop also had no light. Perhaps this was to save energy, but it was a bit inconvenient. The hot water in the shower was very weak, and the water in the sink was also very weak. However, the next morning, the water in the sink was running high. Perhaps the hot water ran out the previous day?"

"HiManMan Starlight Sea in Buzong Village in Lingao 20240208-09 Pro's: Parking right in front of door. Lift to 4th floor. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Spacious room. Beautiful view right on sea. Big round bath. Fridge with 2 gold drinks. Cons: Water very slow. Hot water indicator wrong way. Bath was wrongly fitted - sitting part at tap and window, cannot get in between bath and window. Door to toilet says ”push”, it should be ”pull”. Toilet automatic, heated seat. Closing before you can sit, started flushing while still sitting. Toilet paper only for one time's use! Room very unpractical! No doormat when going out to balcony. Had to ask for a clean bathmat as the shower one used to clean the floor. Folding door with 4 clips. Only opening at bed. Curtains blowing out, nothing to hold them. No wondow to open small in bad cold weather, thus no fresh air... No mugs/cups, only glasses. Had to ask for one. Plugs at bed cannot hold charger with 2 pin plug, falling out. Cannot charge fully even with my 3 pin plug. Plug left of kettle also cannot charge. Bed not really comfortable! Duvet heavy & stiff. No extra blanket for cold. The hotel can use spiritus to take off the sticky stuff of stickers of manufactures of bath, as well as the dirty sticky stuff on the hand soap bottle. You have such a beautiful place and spent a fortune here, but unfortunately some things are not practical. Hope you do good business 😎🤠🏖️🌅"

"Honestly, the owner's photography skills need improvement; the actual scenery was so beautiful, I almost missed it! The sea-view room for just over 200 yuan was a great deal! [Thumbs up] It had a fisherman's style, was very clean, and had a wide variety of delicious breakfast options. The sea was right outside the door. The only regret was missing the beachcombing activity; I'll definitely come back next time."
