The sea view from the room is unbeatable, and the location is prime, within a 15-minute walk to MIXC Mall or May Fourth Square. That's probably why the price is a bit high. The hotel is quite old, so the facilities are a bit dated. If you're not overly particular about modern amenities, it's still highly recommended."

"Our stay at Qingdao Haitian Hotel was a fantastic experience! The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and getting around. Being so close to the beach was a huge plus, especially for taking our child to play in the sand. What truly stood out was the service. Hotel Manager and Butler Golden were incredibly warm and thoughtful in their hospitality. They responded to our messages promptly and had such a humble attitude. Any requests we had were handled immediately, making us feel right at home. Fresh fruit was delivered to our room daily – the attention to detail was impeccable. Overall, our stay was wonderful. We'll definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Qingdao next time. Highly recommended!"

"This stay was absolutely fantastic! The lobby is stylish, and the room was clean, bright, and well-laid out, with comfortable bedding that made for a great night's sleep. The staff were polite and efficient, responding instantly to any requests. The breakfast offered a complete spread of both Western and Chinese options with fresh ingredients, and all the facilities were top-notch. I felt right at home. Five-star recommendation! The location is superb, close to the subway and shopping areas, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. "The hotel has its own beach and infinity pool, which is convenient for children to play in the water and change clothes. The day before check-in, the housekeeper Wanwan contacted me to confirm my itinerary and needs. Her service was warm and patient. Our room was arranged on the 10th floor of Building 2, not far from the lobby elevator, and the balcony had an excellent view. Thanks to Wanwan. The Lalu's spatial design is very open, echoing the vast sea. The room is large, and the balcony is long, making for a very comfortable stay. Although there are some signs of age, the room is very clean and odor-free, which shows that a lot of effort goes into maintaining it. The controls for lights, curtains, and air conditioning are conveniently located in three places: on the desk and on both sides of the bed. The towel rail has a heating function, and holding a warm towel instantly lifts your mood. Including bathrobes, the room is equipped with 16 hangers, which is incredibly friendly for families with young children who play in the water. Coupled with the large balcony, there's ample space to dry all your clothes. The hotel's showerhead, though simple, has clear directions for switching between handheld and overhead, so there's no guessing or fumbling. The disposable slippers have thick, soft soles, feeling like you're walking on clouds. The entire room feels understated and solid, not trying to show off, but simply providing guests with a simple, peaceful, comfortable, and leisurely stay. In the evening, there are bonfires and a BBQ on the beach, where you can enjoy meat and dance while watching children search for shellfish. During my stay, I tried the dinner buffet at ”Eleven Kitchen.” If you don't want to leave the hotel, this is a good option, with a rich variety and good taste. The hotel's color scheme is rich and deep, and the decorative choices are unique, yet the extensive use of transparent glass design keeps all areas of the hotel bright and inviting, not intimidating. The elevator does make a noticeable sound when arriving at a floor, which is a bit unusual, but it aligns with the overall understated style of the hotel, so it's not alarming. Some online reviews are simply exaggerated. The Lalu Qingdao is an excellent hotel and well worth experiencing."

"A hotel truly dedicated to its theme! The in-room minibar offers Laixi Coke and Baihua Snake Grass Water. The lobby provides complimentary craft beer from 9:00 to 22:30, with different flavors rotating daily, plus free ice cream. The lobby boasts a beautiful German style with wheat and malt decorations and beer barrel seating, which is quite distinctive. The warm yellow lighting is very soothing, and the breakfast buffet is abundant. Overall service is excellent! The only thing that negatively impacted my impression of the hotel was the breakfast restaurant staff. Several female servers gathered together to clean tables, and their chatter was louder than the guests' dining sounds – this happened for two consecutive days. One server even dragged a butter knife back and forth across a table. Seeing her do that instantly put me off my breakfast. I hope they can improve the overall quality of their staff. Other than that, it's still highly recommended!"

They are situated right across from the sea, and when the tide comes in, lying in bed feels like you're floating directly in the ocean. The two twin rooms are located upstairs, while the two double rooms are downstairs. The downstairs rooms feature sliding doors that open onto a terrace, providing direct access to the sea. They are also equipped with large windows, some of which function as doors, whereas the two upstairs rooms come with expansive windows. The next day, after the tide came in, we went sea foraging. The guesthouse thoughtfully provided buckets and tools, and we managed to find small snails and limpets, ending up with a bountiful harvest!"

Every day, I requested cleaning, yet the floor remained dirty. On the first day, I even found someone else's hair on the bed. The showerhead was broken, with an incredibly strong spray that would get my hair wet every time I showered. The doorbell and bathroom door were also broken. For over 800 a night, the experience was truly disappointing. On the way back from doing laundry, my family was discussing that the clothes wouldn't be ready until 11 PM. A hotel staff member overheard and suggested I ask the front desk to deliver them. When I called the front desk, they initially refused to deliver. It took a lot of communication to finally get them to send the clothes over. This hotel is far inferior to the Orange Crystal hotels I've stayed at in Nanjing and Shanghai.

This was my first time in Qingdao, and I had a fantastic experience. The weather was pleasant, and as someone who usually stays at Crowne Plaza hotels in the Yangtze River Delta, I was impressed with how well-maintained this one was. It's super convenient with a subway station and plenty of food options right outside. The beach is also close, about a 15-minute walk along the bay. Plus, Aeon has discounted fruit after 7 PM! I got an upgrade during my weekday stay, and the service from Luck was excellent. The hotel even has a swimming pool, so the kids had a blast. My wife enjoyed the seafood, and I enjoyed the beer – everyone was happy!

The room faced the sea with a fantastic view, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep. 👍 I was traveling with my mother and child, and the hotel upgraded our room type, which was very much appreciated! The hotel's dinner buffet offered great value for money! The seafood was fresh and there was a wide variety, so much so that we ate dinner at the hotel's buffet for 3 consecutive nights. It was so convenient not having to stress about finding a restaurant. The hotel's backyard connects to a seaside promenade, perfect for walking or cycling. Along the way, we saw many people fishing, catching huge mantis shrimp and blue crabs. It was wonderful to enjoy fresh seafood right by the ocean!

I brought my friends to Qingdao again, and I'm incredibly satisfied! 👍 First, let's talk about the accommodation. I booked a Deluxe Twin Room at the Westin, and the room was bright and spacious. The bathroom facilities were complete, quiet, and odor-free. The air conditioning was adjustable and not too noisy – these were all significant improvements compared to my stay at the Westin in Shanghai a few days prior. Next, the service. The customer service lady proactively asked about my needs, and all my requests – for a quiet room, far from the elevator, and a large room – were met, not just formally. The cleaning auntie was also very enthusiastic and available whenever called. Then, the hotel's location is just perfect! It's within walking distance of key attractions, and for further places, the subway entrance is right outside. It's also very close to Joy City, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient, with excellent service to boot… Most importantly, Qingdao now offers free subway rides for seniors over 60, which is a thoughtful and touching gesture! I am very pleased with my hotel choice, proud to recommend this trip, and absolutely full of praise for Qingdao! 👍🌷

Before our arrival, Xiao Zhang from the hotel proactively called to ask about our needs. Our two room requests (adjoining rooms and a high floor) were both fulfilled. The room service was incredibly responsive, which deserves praise! There's an onsen for rainy evenings, and a beach and pool for sunny days. I heard they also have a pet park and a cat cafe (didn't get a chance to visit), so as a family-friendly hotel, the facilities are quite comprehensive. I was quite worried after seeing many negative reviews before our trip. While it's true that there are signs of age and some humidity issues, overall, it exceeded my expectations. I have two suggestions: 1. The welcome fruit could be improved. The current quality is quite average. Perhaps replace it with local specialties like Qing Shi calcium milk biscuits or shell-shaped pastries, which would offer more consistent quality. 2. There were few bed rails, and they didn't seem very sturdy. An upgrade would be appreciated.

This is the perfect place to stay if you love shopping malls! The transportation is convenient. Exit A2 of Wusi Square Station, turn left, walk for five minutes, and you'll see Yuexi Apartments on your right. The front desk is on the first floor for check-in. Nearby, there's a 7-Eleven and a Luckin Coffee, and a few restaurants further up the street. I'm giving it five stars mainly because the price is acceptable, and the staff at the front desk was friendly and polite. The in-room amenities aren't perfect; I recommend reading other reviews as many people have already pointed out key issues. However, these seem to be building-wide problems (like dimly lit corridors to save energy, slow elevators, etc.). Although the room I stayed in didn't have a stunning view (it wasn't a sea view room and was blocked by the building in front), the bed and pillows were very comfortable for all three nights, and housekeeping cleaned daily. For your first check-in, it's easier to enter from the first floor. Once you have your room card, you can access Yuexi Apartments from the 6th-floor Sky City Garden, which connects directly to MIXC Mall. The in-room washer and dryer are very convenient, and they provide a small packet of laundry detergent daily. The refrigerator is large and cold enough! I suggest adding a plate or two and some utensils to the kitchen, which would make it even more convenient for guests.

This rating isn't compared to ordinary hotels costing a few hundred yuan, but rather against the standard of a five-star hotel, costing over 1600 yuan per night. Pros: There's an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. The indoor pool has one large pool and two smaller ones, one of which has slightly warmer water, perfect for those sensitive to cold. The room is spacious enough and includes a bathtub. Great for kids to play in the water. Cons: 1. Late check-in, 12 PM check-out, 3 PM check-in. So, are we supposed to wander around for three hours? I arrived at the hotel at 2 PM, but still couldn't check in, and had to wait until past 3 PM. The hotel claimed it was fully booked and the staff couldn't keep up with cleaning. Isn't that the hotel's problem then? It's peak season, but I paid full price, even double, for this kind of service? There were others sitting in the lobby for over two hours, unable to check in, having to wait until after 3 PM! 2. Dirty. The staff clearly didn't clean properly. There was at least a month's worth of dust accumulated behind the door. 3. The outdoor pool is small and has no trees nearby, so it's very sunny. The outdoor pool is also open to the public, meaning guests from the nearby Qingdao Impression Hotel and homestays can use this hotel's outdoor pool, albeit for a fee. This makes the already small pool crowded. They also rent out swim rings and kickboards. Even hotel guests have to rent swim rings for 20 yuan per use. 4. For such a large five-star hotel, the facilities are dilapidated. The pool steps and bottom have many broken tiles, which could easily cut your feet if you're barefoot. And they charge for this! 5. Breakfast queue. Breakfast is until 10 AM. I went after 9 AM and encountered such a long queue, and it was hard to find a seat. The queue was mainly because staff were registering people at the entrance. 6. For a hotel costing almost 1700 yuan a night, there's no laundry room! It's worse than chain hotels costing four or five hundred. You can't wash your clothes; you either handwash them yourself or pay the staff for laundry service.

This hotel is located in Huangdao District, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it perfect for guests who prefer a quieter environment without large crowds. The indoor pool is spacious and well-lit, with depths ranging from 0.8 to 1.3 meters, which is great for families and those learning to swim. The beach is a mere 3-minute walk away. It's a public beach, not a private one, so swimming isn't recommended. However, it's fantastic for clam digging, playing in the sand, and wading in the water in the mornings and evenings. It offers a more private beach experience compared to the crowded public swimming beaches, making it an ideal compromise. There are also water sports facilities operated by third parties on the beach, offering additional options. The hotel features a resident band performance in the evenings, which can be enjoyed directly from the outdoor terrace dining area. I recommend booking a room with a terrace so you can dine and drink while listening to the music. Alternatively, a sea-view room with a balcony also offers a good view. The hotel also has an outdoor mini zoo with cute animals like miniature horses, which is a fun attraction for both adults and children. The breakfast is decent, meeting the standard for a five-star hotel. This room type offers excellent value for money, so remember to book in advance during peak season. By the way, a little heads-up: Qingdao is under a fishing ban throughout July and August, so there's no such thing as ”freshly caught seafood” during this time. Most seafood is frozen or imported from other regions. Friends, be wary of false advertising from some seafood stalls.

The front desk is in a different building from where you actually check in, so you have to drag your luggage to another building after you've checked in. However, the room itself was nice and spacious, located on the 26th floor. The cleanliness could be improved though, as it wasn't thoroughly cleaned.
