The Hotel is located next to the Presidential Palace, a three-minute walk to the National Taiwan University Hospital Station, a ten-minute walk to Taipei Station, and a fifteen-minute walk to Ximending.It is a very good place to stay, with 228 Park next to it.

"Check in lobby is at level 3. Is not a fancy or luxury hotel but the room is clean. Linen are soft. Room cleaning has to make an appointment one day before. The facilities are running down. Location is convenient near red and blue lines. Is about 11mins walk to ximending. The only issue we had was the fire siren went off at 5:30am. The fire brigade and police came after. There is a breakfast spot on the opposite right side corner. Was told the hotel always have the fire alarm. Enjoy your stay!"

"The rooms and common areas were kept very clean, making for a very comfortable stay. Although it's a typical unit bath, I really liked that the shower room here could be partitioned off with a sliding door! This meant the toilet didn't get all wet after a shower. The water pressure and temperature were perfect! The location was also excellent. There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so I never felt inconvenienced. Being located between Zhongshan Station and Taipei Main Station made it very convenient for getting anywhere. For breakfast, I highly recommend Sihai Soy Milk King. It's a very local diner, but absolutely delicious! For dinner, Ningxia Night Market is a must-visit. If you enjoy walking, you can even walk there. This night market is full of incredible food! Specifically, the chicken rice at Fang Jia was shockingly delicious! Of course, the front desk staff were also very kind and gave me a lot of helpful information!! I definitely want to stay here again when I come back to Taiwan! I'll attach various photos."

"The hotel staff gave us a warm welcome. We arrived before the check‑in time, but they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and offered great recommendations for sightseeing and dining. We stayed in a family room for three people, and the space was more than enough for us. The room was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location is also great—not right in the middle of Ximending, but slightly away from the busy area, so it’s quieter and more relaxing. Overall, a very pleasant stay!"

When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Location is excellent being just 100m walk from Exit 6 of Ximen Station, round the corner literally. The room is a little small for 2, but I guess typical of most hotels in this area. The toilet and standing shower are separate, clean and well maintained but a little small for my liking. The basin area sits oddly in the middle of the path as you enter from the doors. I like that the bed is firm, pillow is good too. The best about this hotel is their staff. Everyone we've met are super friendly and full of smiles. I'll be happy to stay here again the next time I visit."

"Free snacks and drinks are available on the ground floor, and the service is excellent, with a good location to boot. However, the hotel's biggest drawback is its outdated facilities. My room didn't have a window, and in a twin room, only one bed had a bedside light switch, and neither had power outlets at the headboard, which was quite inconvenient."

Our hotel is the best and convenient choice for business trips, and also can travel this wonderful city. Located in the Xinyi district, just only 5 minutes can arrive Taipei 101 and night market, besides, 45 minutes from Taoyuan Airport, and 20 minutes from Taipei Songshan Airport. The facilities in each room with many international socket. Whatever you want to do, searching, watching films, updating or downloading document, it will nor be a problem.

"Just okay for short term stays. We got a glimpse of Taipei 101 and city view in our unit. However, the room has this mildew smell and the carpet felt damp underfoot. There’s also a lingering odor in the bathroom (the bed is just beside the toilet). The staff were nice, though. Location wise, public transport is convenient as it’s near Taipei Main Station, and bus stops."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Giant Rich King Plaza Hotel! The location is highly convenient—just a 10-minute walk to the Zhongshan MRT (Green Line) and close to several bus stops, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. Having a grocery and convenience store right nearby was also a huge plus for quick snacks and essentials. Our room was spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious. It comfortably fit all four of us with plenty of room left over for our luggage to be opened. The bathroom was just as clean and even featured a nice bathtub to relax in after a long day of walking. To top it off, the hotel offers a complimentary light breakfast of breads and juices, which was a great, quick way to start our mornings. Highly recommend this hotel for groups or families!"

AAkaixWas hesitant before booking this hotel as Japanese hotel rooms are generally smaller than usual as compared to taiwan local hotels. To my surprise, it was quite spacious! Able to open up my luggage fully on the floor without obstruction and a sofa area to chill. TV was okay with alot of ********* channels but had some issues connecting my netflix despite following the on screen instructions. Overall it was a positive experience! Will visit again!

AAnonymous UserThere's construction on one side of the hotel, and the old windows don't close properly, so diesel fumes from the crane wafted directly into the bedroom. Not to mention the noise from the building work – imagine driving a car without air conditioning, stuck behind a diesel truck constantly spewing exhaust fumes. The result? A headache that required painkillers. Luckily, Trip.com was great and got me a room change. The mattress is very soft, so if you prefer lumbar support, you should reconsider. The family with kids next door was very noisy, and the front desk promptly moved me to another room. The transportation is very convenient, with the MRT station just a two-minute walk away. The hotel lobby is like an MRT platform, bustling with people – from young to old, student groups to limping seniors, all attending some event. It's the opposite of quiet. If you enjoy crowded fairs, you might like the lively atmosphere. Even checking in took about 10 minutes.

雨雨彬hotel location is good, short walk to Taipei train station, then can take train in the city or high speed train to other city. then the underground shopping street is right in front the hotel. the hotel is half hotel half office. so the lobby is upstairs. there is no house keeping unless you fill in form and request 1 day in advance. there is no iron in room to iron clothes, need to go down lobby level to do it. room doesn't have toothbrush and shaver, so need to go out buy. there are many shops and restaurants around. can even walk to 西門町。 room is kind of smal

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.

AAnonymous UserA Fun and Funky Stay in the Heart of Taipei I had a great stay at Hotel PaPa Whale! The hotel's style is really unique and quirky, which makes it stand out from your typical business hotels. The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s just a short 7-minute walk to Ximen Station, making it super convenient to get around the city, and being right on the edge of Ximending means you're in the middle of all the action, shopping, and nightlife. Location: You really can't beat it for exploring Taipei. The Ximending pedestrian area is literally a few minutes' walk away, so you're surrounded by endless food options. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack, trendy cafes, or authentic ********* street food, you'll find it all right on your doorstep. The proximity to the MRT station is a huge plus for day trips too. Room & Atmosphere: The room was a decent size, especially for Taipei, and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The vibe is modern and playful. The most... memorable feature was definitely the large mirror on the ceiling above the bed. It certainly adds a fun, slightly ”kinky” twist to the room's atmosphere! It’s a bold design choice that fits the hotel's overall playful and unconventional personality. Bathroom: One of the highlights was the bathroom. It was impressively large, very clean, and well-appointed, with good water pressure in the shower. It felt more like a boutique hotel bathroom than a standard city hotel one. Overall: Hotel PaPa Whale is a solid 4-star experience. It combines a prime location, a clean and comfortable room with a fun twist, and a great bathroom. If you're looking for a memorable stay right in the heart of Taipei's most vibrant district, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for something a little different.

GGuest UserThe location is very convenient with the Simen MRT just a short walk away. It's good if one plans to use the MRT frequently. It's easy to walk around the whole Simending area from the hotel. Did not try any food at the hotel as one is spoilt for choice in terms of food from the Ximending area. The air-conditioner was not working properly from the first day, as it was very warm and couldn't be adjusted. Called for someone to take a look and was told they would come immediately. Waited but no one came. Called again and was told they would come by later. We were going out and they reassured us that their service staff would come by accompanied by another staff. Shortly after the call, the service staff arrived, unaccompanied. It was just as well we had not left. The room is big but the design has not been well thought out. The sink is located outside the bathroom. Its design (low sink) and mirror behind means, when one uses it to wash face etc water is splashed around and the floor gets wet. However, the hotel does not provide any more towels other than those given so one has to move the floor towel(mat) between the bathroom and the sink outside. The lighting system is also not very convenient. We had 2 double beds but there was no way to control the lighting so that if one party wanted to sleep, the other party could read. The TV system (with the box hidden behind the TV itself) frequently had signal issues. It was common to be unable to change the channel or the signage No signal would appear frequently either early in the morning or late at night. We also had a bathroom where the floor just in front of the WC had a slight damage in the form of a black patch which however looked very unsightly. It would have been good if the hotel had done something to make it look better as it left a poor impression. We had requested for a quiet room. Unfortunately, almost every night/morning there were people talking loudly or kids shouting. Overall, if one does not plan to spend time in the bathroom, it would be a good choice just for the location and convenience.

GGuest UserThis is a very convenient location with plenty of food and entertainment options nearby. The young men and women at the front desk were incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, thoughtful, and attentive. They helped us plan our itinerary and transportation for our trip to Hualien Yilan, and also shared recommendations for delicious food and fun activities there. The room was also quite neat and clean, overall everything was excellent. Definitely recommend!
