"I stayed at the State Guesthouse for two nights. The lobby was grand, and the room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. However, I absolutely, absolutely do not recommend swimming in the pool! The water in the pool was murky, and there were so many children soaking in it that they completely packed the lanes. There was no coach or lifeguard to supervise, so it was impossible to swim. Perhaps this pool is purely for kids to play in, which is a shame. Also, at night, you can hear the highway and train sounds, so if you're a light sleeper or have trouble falling asleep, remember to bring earplugs."

Tour Fanjing Mountain in the morning and stay at the south gate at night; there are other courtyards in the south of the city, where guests can be entertained. Nancheng Beiyuan is an urban high-end homestay invested and built by Tongren Youth Hostel Group in the ancient city of Zhongnanmen. Nancheng Beiyuan is located in the core area of Zhongnanmen Ancient City near the entrance of Jinjiang Bridge. The surrounding transportation is very convenient. It is about 10 minutes' drive from Tongren High-speed Railway Station; 40 minutes' drive from Tongren Airport; 80 minutes' drive from Phoenix Ancient City; and 70 minutes' drive from Fanjing Mountain Scenic Area. The construction area of Nancheng Courtyard is about 2,600 square meters. The rooms are divided into four main courts: east, south, west and north. Each single courtyard, courtyard and stacked room types adopt a multi-form silent style design, highlighting the nobleness of popular fashion and natural return to taste. It is equipped with a breakfast restaurant, tea room, book bar, etc.; the surrounding supporting facilities include 3 large parking lots, fitness center, chess and card, teahouse, SPA, KTV, food street, bar street and other health and entertainment facilities. He stayed in the courtyard of Nancheng but was far away from the hustle and bustle. Nancheng Beiyuan allows you to enjoy a modern and comfortable life, and brings you a good sleepy day and a good place to sleep. As the ancients said, "The song of birds and the mountain is quieter" added some silence to other courtyards. "The environment is great, full of ancient charm. The entire courtyard has a classic, antique feel. However, if you're sensitive to noise when sleeping, I wouldn't recommend it. It's an old wooden house with high ceilings, and even with renovations, it's pretty much soundproof. But the beautiful surroundings and excellent location make it worth overlooking that one flaw. It's just a minute or two's walk from the Zhongnan Archway, making it super convenient whether you want to stroll around the old town or head to Zhonghuan International. Plus, the staff are really enthusiastic and quick to resolve any issues you might have."

"Because our Guizhou trip was quite packed, and we had booked tickets for Fanjing Mountain for both morning and afternoon, we decided to stay two nights in Tongren city for safety reasons. I put a lot of effort into finding a hotel in the city center and after comparing many options, I chose this 5-star Jinjiang Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised! 😀 First, the hotel's location is unbeatable. It's very convenient for transportation and just a stone's throw away from Tongren Ancient City, with bustling surroundings like a blooming garden 🌸😄. Second, the hotel facilities are comprehensive. There's a parking lot 🅿️, a magnificent lobby, convenient and fast elevators/stairs. The hygiene is clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the environment is elegant and quiet. Staying on a high floor, you can see a winding river below and lush green mountains shrouded in mist in the distance – it's absolutely beautiful! Third, let's talk about the service. The front desk staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and helpful. We had a lot of luggage, and they efficiently arranged for someone to assist us. Most importantly, the value for money is outstanding, I highly recommend it! 👍👍👍"

"The hotel's location and ambiance are excellent, right by the Jinjiang River within the ancient city. It features a Suzhou garden style, which is very elegant. Guests can enjoy a complimentary tea ceremony experience (it's not a rushed affair, it's a full hour!). It's also very convenient for exploring the ancient city and enjoying a night cruise on the Jinjiang River. The front desk staff, Xiao Fu and Xiao Ju, provided great service. The only minor drawback was that I booked a river-view room, but the river was quite narrow, and the sound of cars from the opposite bank at night could be a bit disruptive for light sleepers. However, after I reported it, the hotel promptly moved me to a courtyard room. Overall, it's a very good experience."

"Having stayed in many hotels, this one has the best value for money! The facilities aren't new, so I wouldn't recommend it for tourists looking for a relaxing vacation. However, I highly recommend it for those on a budget who want a comfortable place to stay. The room had everything you'd expect. It looked a bit old, but it was just worn, not dirty (as anyone who's stayed in an old house knows). It was cleaned quite well. The shower pipe in my room was slightly broken and leaked, but the hot water was plentiful, so showering wasn't a problem. The breakfast was simple, just a regular breakfast, but definitely not bad! It was much more convenient than finding a breakfast shop in the cold winter mornings. Two days they served porridge, vegetables, and steamed buns, and on the last day they served freshly made noodles and rice noodles. I ate one bowl but wasn't full, so I asked for another. The staff were also very friendly. The most important thing is! The room was really nice! Large! The bathroom wasn't cramped either! And the mattress was very thick! I stayed for four days, and this spacious room was still the most comfortable. Perhaps because the room was large and far away, there was very little noise. Overall, the stay was good, and even though I'm not a big sleeper, I slept quite well. So far, the only hotels I've stayed in that have been more comfortable than this one are four-star hotels. However, four-star hotels are expensive, so this one is more budget-friendly. Satisfied, five-star review. Wishing the hotel great success."

"The hotel is located near Tongren Railway Station, just a 15-minute walk from the station, so catching the early bus to Fanjingshan is no problem at all. The room has the same minimalist, natural wood style as the Ji Hotel, clean and cozy. What I loved most was the tea table by the window, complete with the same high-quality tea set as the Ji Hotel's lifestyle store. After climbing Fanjingshan, my back was sore, but brewing a pot of tea and watching the city street scene outside the window instantly relaxed me. I must commend the front desk service. The ladies were incredibly warm and attentive, giving me a handwritten local food guide. Following their recommendations, I found a hidden gem in Tongren Old Town: roasted pig's trotters. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, each bite burst with juice, sprinkled with Guizhou's unique chili powder—so delicious I couldn't stop eating! In the evening, I also had local barbecue—fresh beef and shrimp with a secret dipping sauce—it was so satisfying! Knowing I had to catch a flight the next day, the ladies proactively booked a car to the airport for me and even reminded me to pack breakfast in advance. Having stayed at so many chain hotels, the attention to detail and the warmth of this Ji Hotel are truly exceptional. It's clean, comfortable, has a superb location, and offers attentive service. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tongren!"

This JinJiang hotspring hotel really met international standard in terms of counter service (very polite and good attitude receptionist), and service at hotspring area deserves a thumbs up. The room is very spacious, nice interior and important - clean and neat. The water playground is definitely a good place for kids to have fun during summer holiday. I told the hotel desk that it was my actual birthday yesterday, guess what, they sent me a plate of grapes, so sweet of them. I would definitely come to this hotel next time when i am visiting my niece and nephew again."

Nestled by the mountains and river, the environment is absolutely top-notch. The owner is incredibly kind, and the breakfast is exceptional for a B&B. The decor is thoughtfully designed by the owner's family. It's perfect for family trips, team building, or even a solo relaxing getaway. You could easily stay for several days. Most importantly, I found this to be one of the cleanest B&Bs I've ever stayed in.

Amazing! Fascinating! Fanjingshan was the final stop of our memorable 10-day tour of Guizhou Province, and we truly could not have chosen a better place to conclude our journey. We felt genuinely blessed to stay at this lovely guesthouse for three nights. From the very beginning, the owner Mr. Zhang Haotian and his family made us feel completely at home; they were warm, engaging, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are tastefully designed and thoughtfully laid out, perfectly sized for comfort. Our room offered a soothing view of the river, along with a private balcony; an ideal spot to relax with your favourite tea or coffee. The modern touches were impressive too, especially the high-tech sensor toilet, which added a pleasant surprise. The three-storey guesthouse is equipped with an elevator, a thoughtful convenience for guests with heavy luggage or those who may find climbing stairs challenging. Dinner, lovingly cooked by the family, was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that reflected both their hospitality and culinary skill. Every meal felt homely and satisfying. We only wish we had taken more and better photographs of the guesthouse. Without a doubt, this is one place we will return to. As for the enchanting Fanjing Mountain itself, the owner drove us to the scenic area entrance. He even offered to pick us up later, but we chose to walk back instead, enjoying the cool climate. Fanjing Mountain is magical in its own right. The steep cable car ride to the summit, which takes over 20 minutes, was an experience in itself, offering breathtaking views of the mountain ranges stretching endlessly around us. At the top stands the age-old Buddhist temple, serene and awe-inspiring, perfectly harmonising with its natural surroundings. We loved the guesthouse, we are very grateful to Mr. Zhang and his family for their kindness, and deeply thankful for the unforgettable experience at Fanjing Mountain. It was the perfect ending to a remarkable journey.

Seeking a peaceful retreat, I blindly picked 'Yunfuli Hidden Retreat' tucked away in Zhaisha Dong Village for my trip to Fanjingshan, and I was absolutely blown away! The guesthouse's design philosophy is 'return to simplicity,' with its courtyard brimming with plants. The new Chinese-style garden, combined with the traditional Dong stilt houses, makes every photo-op a masterpiece. My favorite part was the tea set in the room; brewing a pot of Fanjing Cuiya with mountain spring water, sitting by the window watching the misty mountains, and listening to the birdsong instantly brought a sense of calm. There's none of the pretentiousness of a star-rated hotel here, only a reassuring 'host culture' and a slow pace of life. It's the perfect place to unwind for the weekend!

The room was huge and well laid out, with a living room and two toilets, which made the stay very comfortable. A one-time-use bathtub cover was provided for hygiene, which I appreciated. The smart toilet bowl automatically opens the lid—though it still catches me off guard sometimes. I stayed for two nights. As part of my usual routine, I always check the TV and Wi-Fi functionality upon check-in, and I noticed that the TV in the bedroom was not working. I reported this to the reception, but it was not fixed during my stay. On the second night, there were inconsistent loud banging noises coming from the upper floor between 9–10 pm, which sounded like construction. This was also reported to the reception, and they sent a staff member to my room to check. She also heard the noise when I asked her to come inside the room, to my surprise the noise can only be heard in my room, not even outside the door. As I had just returned to the hotel at that time, I told her I would monitor the situation and inform her if the noise continued closer to my bedtime. She was apologetic and mentioned that she would look into the issue. I appreciated her effort, although the noise was disruptive and did affect my overall experience. The hotel is about a 30-minute drive to Tongren Railway Station and around 10 minutes to Tongren Ancient City. I would recommend this hotel if you’re only staying for a short period since there’s nothing much to do other than visiting the Fan Jing Shan Mountain (personal opinion). Side note: bed quality is indeed good, just nice for people with back pain issue.

Staying at Taihe Fanjingyun Manor Hotel added a lot of enjoyment to my trip to Fanjingshan. The hotel boasts an elegant garden style, with a tranquil courtyard and lake view, surrounded by lush greenery – a truly soothing environment.
